Excellent. My wife has a powerpoint presentation (hour and a half) for work, and after seeing this, she's going to convert it to Keynote, and present it with her MacBook Air, using her iPhone as the remote. Thank you, David. I'm a subscriber now.
I am a professor of photography (Portuguese Institute of Photography, Porto Portugal). I started today to use "Keynote". Your explanation in this tuturial was very useful to me. Thank you very much. Nelson Themudo

Hey there David - what a great help this was - a new Mac Keynote user here! I know this was recorded in 2014 - but there's been (as you will know) massive changes to Facebook Video today - UPDATE: Facebook Video (as of 2016) - for your commenting peeps to see... > Never share links to video - upload the mp4 file directly and embed in Facebook (you can create playlists like TH-cam as well) - on your Page > Try and Live stream a presentation through Facebook Live (if you can and want to) > Facebook has a massive amount of analytics today (and the video ones are increasing by the day as this product grows and grows) - so dive into those (especially if you use Ads Manager to get your content in front of more people) Also a small note - you are right about Vimeo re search and social interaction - however it does has have its place if search and social interaction is not one of your goals for hosting video. I use it for different reasons :-) I am now a big fan of yours David - thank you again!
This is by far the best Keynote Tutorial I’ve seen. Thanks David. Every minute of it was worth watching and this lesson has made Keynote a breeze for me.
This was a really well done presentation. Teaching is an art and a science. Subject matter experts often are terrible teachers even though they know their subject well. This is not the case with David Cox. He is an excellent teacher.
David A. Cox- Thank you! I just "discovered" you. As a science teacher, I'm sure I'm going to have plenty of reasons to view your videos. And you, sir, are a natural-born teacher! My students will all benefit from your enthusiasm and smarts.
This was very very helpful; I've not used Keynote before nor have I ever seen a David Cox presentation. Your explanation and your presentation was absolutely perfect. Thanks
I looked all over for a decent tutorial on the new Keynote. This was long enough that I could walk through it, take notes, review. Great job: started "at the beginning" and also included several great tips that I would have missed if I'd been digging this out on my own.
this is without doubt, the most comprehensive, plain speaking, educational video i have seen with the most excellent teaching skills. i came across this after a day of banging my head against the metaphorical wall begging the new imac i bought to be kind. so thank you!
Your video was the best! You explained things in a way that anyone could understand. I just received my Macbook for Christmas. I'm taking classes and needed to create a powerpoint. Thank you so much!
David, this was the first of your presentations which I have watched. Clear, concise, informative and enjoyable. I will watch this one again and will check out your other videos. Thanks.
David, thought I’d better answer my own question below - Keynote 6.5 no longer works with the Remote app. However, all you need to do is download Keynote for IOS on your iPhone and/or iPad and then connect via your wireless network as David has already described. Excellent tutorial and I’m watching it for the third time! Perhaps you should receive Royalties!
Thank you David!! I really appreciate you taking the time and energy to help us non-tech people feel a little less stupid and to be a little more productive!! It's much appreciated!!
Really helpful video. Appreciated the step by step outline. I've only used Keynote for about a year or so, and found this presentation showed me things I had no idea about. Much appreciated.
Jude Hibler Fantastic presentation, David A Cox. You are my new computer hero. You anticipated many questions I had about Keynote and made me a believer that even I, may be able to make an attractive and informative presentation. Thank you so very much.
David, I do a lot of presentations for my job with Keynote and I always thought I'm quite good with it. You gave me so many good new ideas about what I can do with Keynote - it is amazing! Thanks a lot!
Thank you. I learned so much. I teach an adult Bible class and just got use to using slides. Now I'll be able to do a whole lot more with notes and transitions that I never knew before.
Thank you so much for a great Keynote Tutorial. I just used Keynote and with your guidance I guess I can get a great presentation for my business. Thanks again, David!
David did an amazing job! I was so disappointed to not do this at the apple store but when I was forwarded this to my email, it was way better. Thank you so much!
Very, very great David!!! I just got my mac pro and every video of yours I watch; becomes more interesting and fun to use it, thanks so much for teaching us, you always have my support!!!!
That was a great Keynote introduction. I have used Keynote a lot and David showed me some neat tricks. Especially the little icon on the bottom right corner of the photo place holder! I've been getting pics through Media and then having to size them. Thanks!
That was a fantastic tutorial. I learned quite a bit. Thank you, David, for taking the time to put this together. Your presentation style and education style helped me to really understand and get the salient points of what I need to know to use Keynotes.
Hi David, great video. Making the transition from Powerpoint (from many years ago) to being a new user of Keynote. Very helpful. Downloading the remote app now to test out my presentation.
Great job, David. Really valuable information conveyed in a clear and comprehensive manner. You not only increased my knowledge, you built my confidence. Thank you!!!
I've been using Keynote for public presentations, which is awesome, but learned some great tips here! Thank you so much! Very thorough and clear explanation. I've taken lots of notes.
Thank You David! Actually...I had recently bought the Mac Book Pro(for studies ofc...) and I didnt even knew the basic thing! But after I saw all your videos , I have became PRO(joking...not that pro) at using MAC!!! THX AGAIN!!!!!
Thanks David. Liked the tip on remote. Correction on the use of remote app . I found that is for Itunes and AppleTV. My research is that we have to get the Keynote for IOS in Appstore (Free of course) and then sync it with your Mac on Wifi or Bluetooth, with the steps above that you have shown. You may want to present a separate class short one just in case. Its a cool feature and I am using it in my presentations and find it very useful.
Thanks. This is great learning for me. I am able to maximize the use of my tablet. I dowbloaded a PowerPoint app not knowing Keynote presentation. A.m now familiarizing myself with Keynote features. Your voice and diction are very good. Thanks to you!
thanks a million. i was looking for a quick guide to keynote for dummies like. wow great one. just subscribed. looking forward to your teaching on mac for dummies like me. crispy clear!
Thanks Dave, this learning was awesome...I have been a Mac user for almost 5 years but have never really used Keynote effectively....well that's gonna change now for sure....
Thank you, this was just what I needed. I’m working on an iPad Pro and a newer version of Keynote, but I was able to figure most of it out from your instructions. Very helpful!
Absolutely fabulous and concise. I've already done two different presentations but can improve them with the knowledge I've gained. I need to understand the animation better, also changing fonts. Thanks so much.
Great video. Very clear, concise and methodical. Thank You. Made notes throughout and now have a much clearer understanding of keynote. Have 'liked' and 'subscribed'. Thank You.
Something that helped me to remember row vs. column: You row your boat across the water, you build a column between a floor and ceiling (think of a Greek column); it also 'supports' the data label in your top row ;)
Thank you very much for this tutorial. This literally got me up and running in minutes. I played around with this all day and am amazed at how easy it is. I do have one question. If I have a slide that has more than one animation, is it possible to have them run consecutively after a delay instead of waiting on a click?
very helpful....I am not very computer savvy and will have to watch it again but at least I am getting the idea! Thanks for making these demos available.
Awesome class! Already subscribed to your channel and signed up for the website. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge for free and helping thousands!
Hi David. I enjoyed your presentation and keep going over it to sharpen my presentation. Just one q again. Could you go over how to bounce only one bullet point. I keep following your steps and don't seem to be working
love you tutorial video!! Im having a problem with making the bullet appear one at a time for all my slides. Is there a way to apply to all slides without having to click each slide and manual change the setting?
David your tutorials are great; thank you so much for your time. I do have a question concerning Keynote Presenter Display. Presenter Display showed once; but when I went to use it a second time presenter display was no longer available. However, if I select rehearse slideshow the presenter display show on both screens. How do I fix this? I'm using an external monitor (not via Apple TV), HD TV, Keynote version 6.5 (2110), MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) and OS X Yosemite Version 10.10 (14A389). Thank you for helping
Merci beaucoup. Même avec mon petit niveau d'anglais, je suis prête à me lancer. C'était clair, concis et vivant, je n'ai pas vu passer les 50 minutes ...
Excellent video class for Keynote, David A. Cox! Great tips including the remote app, how to make slides into .png (transparencies), recording and more!!! Marking you as my new goto for help! Thanks!

David, you are a superb tutor. Highly recommend this; you don't waste any words and what you mention is very useful --like that of a veteran
This is probably the best tutorial I've experienced. This guy David Cox gets it.
