This guy is one of the best teachers I have ever seen in my life ❤️
His level of patience and detailed explanation is visible, even in 1.75 X speed.
He is literally talking with me live in person, even through a recorded youtube video.
Thats how you touch the hearts of students.

This is amazing! I am trying to learn PowerBI on my own and have been looking for trainings on TH-cam that I could benefit from. This is by far the best I have come across. Thanks so much for taking all the time you did to make this video and making it accessible to use. I can now begin to make my reports alive and more interesting.

I'm only 55 minutes in, but I'm really enjoying the flow and all the data that was presented. You were EASY to understand and you taught at the perfect speed. I felt that I was talked to rather than talked DOWN to. All in all - OUTSTANDING! Really looking forward to seeing how Power BI drills down in comparison to Tableau and what Power Bi has compared to Actions in Tableau.

After sitting through 2 shorter beginner videos on Power BI, I decided to take the time to watch this video. The video instructions were very clear, Devin was an amazing instructor, taking the time to discuss caveats, best ways to do something, etc. I took pages of notes and now will go back and practice what I learned. Thank you team and I will look for your other videos as I become more proficent.

Thank you for adding the little bit of extra information. While it does not take much time, it helps us solve a lot of problems. You mentioned how to tell if you have an out of date version of Power BI. I spent hours the other day trying to figure out why a function did not work for me. You pointing out that my screen is different than yours indicated that my software was out of date. I found that I was using a 2018 version of Power BI and the IT department had it locked down so I could not update. A simple call to IT and it is now working.
Thank you for adding the little bit extra.

I am an absolute beginner and I've made a few attempts at learning PBI from other trainings here on TH-cam and on LinkedIn learning. I ended up giving up.
I am absolutely enjoying this one. The trainer is clear, to the point and I love how he continually drops tips and tricks. It not only makes me feel like I've gotten more out of my time, but it also helps me understand how PBI works a lot better.
    thank you!

LOL, I feel the EXACT same way. I kept skipping this tutorial because I look for videos with a "black" mouse or a highlighted tracker to follow. I get a slightly different view relative to what is shown at 1:38:12. Specifically, in the video under the Visualizations column, there is a "Values" icon. I don't get that on my PowerBI as I am following along. And then when I select Stacked Column, there is no Values field. In the video, "Values' appears at 1:39:05 under the "Legend" field. Again, in my PowerBI, I'm not getting "Values". In fact, my fields are "X-axis", "Y-axis", "Legend", ... Any suggestions as to how I can get the "Values" field to appear?

I have no Queries section on the Home tab. I assume it is because I am using the newer version of Power BI which you are going to discuss on Feb 9?
