I'm so happy to hear that you were inspired to go back and shorten the sleeves of your Patina! It's beautiful and looks very "you". You've made lots of lovely things this month. You don't need to apologize at all for veering from your earlier plans. You're sewing for fun, and you've got to do what's going to make you happy! 💞
Thank you for your fantastic Me Made May videos - they were so inspiring! I love the Patina blouse now and have worn it heaps more already. I always love making plans, but do enjoy just following inspiration when it hits. Thanks so much for watching. ❤
Lovely video as always. I love your commitment to making things to a high standard, and your bravery into trying a hack or adjustment to get a better fit or more personalised garment. Thank you Amelia, a pleasure to be with you on your sewing journey, Susan x
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I really enjoy trying to make things as beautifully as I can - I want these garments to last me a long time! Thank you for watching. ❤
I want to first say that I am not a ruffle kind of gal. I watched your make of the Vetiver Top in blue which gave me pause to rethink my ways. I bought the pattern and spent my week off sewing up a white linen with butterflies into this top. I have no regrets. The top is adorable and I am absolutely in love with it which is why I am planning on making a second one before the summer ends. Once again, thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you for such an enjoyable video! I appreciate all the useful information, and I feel your delightful personality really shined through in this video. Always love seeing your makes, and the process of you making them.
I love the shirt you are wearing with the shorter sleeves, I think it just changes the look beautifully. I’m now off to raid my husbands wardrobe for a shirt to cut up for my daughter. 😊
Thank you Sarah. I really am reaching or the blouse so much more now, so it was worth it to cut off the sleeves! I hope you enjoy making your shirt dress too! ❤
Amelia, you make beautiful clothes for your daughter. I love the Bakerloo dress hack and love the idea of hacking dressmaking patterns, but would not have any idea where to start. Great video at usual 👏🏾😍
Thank you so much, that is very kind. I really enjoy hacking patterns, although I am always a little concerned that they may not turn out how I imagined! 😂❤
Wow for a month you lost your sew jo you certainly got a lot done 👏 I really loved the little roses in the buttons of your daughters dress and didn’t mention it when I watched the video 👍 look forward to seeing the finished boiler suit 😊
Thank you Sandra. It was so nice to make things that brought joy this month. I am really looking forward to making the boiler suit now I have a toile that works! 😊
Great vlog, I felt the same about the Patina blouse sleeves neither here nor there. I made my sleeves just above elbow and I really like them, I also hacked one version and put a tier on the bottom, just whipped it off a couple of inches below the bust and added a tier and every time I wear it I always get lovely comments on it. I think revisiting our makes is really important as we make so much it’s important to be aware of our own waste. Thank you for taking the time to share.
Thank you so much Debra. It is so good to hear others have had the same experience with the Patina. I definitely think I will wear it more now. I made the Patina into a dress too - but am now wondering whether I should shorten the sleeves on that too! Thanks for watching. ❤
Your finishing of the inside is beautiful. I may see if I have the patience for that in my sewing. All of your makes are wonderful. I really like the dresses you make for your daughter. Such a fun video.
Thank you so much Lauri. I really enjoyed making the shirt dress for my daughter this month. Such a fun challenge and I loved using the fabric rather than binning it!
Always look forward to your videos. You sew beautifully. I'll have to try the maraflex thread. Could you do a video on how you grade from the waist to the hips?
Great video. I relate to your sewing mojo comments too. Sometimes you just need a palate cleanser! Your Bianca wasn’t a palate cleanser! I’m sorry you had such tribulations but you made me laugh out loud when you described the issues, sounds like me with the zadie jumpsuit but the problem is the opposite. Love your finishing the inside and I agree. Hope you enjoy your final bianca. I don’t think I know the pattern you used the trousers from, that would be interesting to know.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Jan. I am glad my comments about the flight suit made you laugh. It was pretty funny trying to get the fit right, and I definitely needed a palate cleanser after that! I used the Sew Love Patterns 'Springe Jumpsuit' pattern for the legs of the flight suit. Thanks for watching!
I taught myself heirloom sewing just from Sarah's videos. She's amazing, and I love that she blesses the sewing world with her tutorials for free! Her channel is so valuable! I keep thinking about your Kew sundress that you made a while back, and I think I'll have to invest in that pattern pretty soon!
Thank you Julie. Sarah's videos are amazing, aren't they! I am so grateful for her channel. The Kew dress is such a pretty pattern. I hope you enjoy making it!

Thank you for watching Sarah! It was such a happy month of sewing. 😊

Your daughters dress is fabulous. So clever to use the shirt.
Thank you so much. It was fun to try to use the shirt in this way, rather than throwing it out! ❤
Great content as always. Love that you give as much attention and love to in the inside as the outside. Lady after my own heart x
Thank you so much Carolyn. I am so glad it is not just me - tidy insides are so joyful! ❤
I love that you up cycled the shirt into a little girl dress, it looks fantastic 😍
Thanks Breda. It was a lot of fun upcycling the little dress.
Such gorgeous makes. I like the shorter sleeves on your Patina blouse. I might try that. Thanks, Amelia.
Thank you so much Nan. I definitely prefer it with the shorter sleeves, so I am really glad I made the change!

Thank you so much Judy. I loved making the Jubilee dress, and it is so light and lovely to wear in the summer!
Gorgeous makes! I’m glad you got your sewjo back so we continue seeing your lovely work 😊💖
Thank you Eva! It was really fun to focus on makes that brought a lot of joy this month, so I am glad you enjoyed seeing them! ❤
Lovely makes Amelia 👌💝... I particularly love the vetiver top in that beautiful blue linen 💙. Your daughter's dress is adorable too 🙏💞😁😘
Thank you so much Sally. I love the Vetiver top - it just feels so comfortable, yet put together. My new favourite! Thanks for watching. ❤
Lovely your makes are exquisite, the details are gorgeous !
Thank you so much Monica! ❤
Fantastic as always. Grand's lead you in a great direction with finishing your beautiful garments!!!
Thank you so much. I love that sewing connects me to my grandparents!
Always look forward to your videos. You sew beautifully. I'll have to try the maraflex thread. Could you do a video on how you grade from the waist to the hips?
Thank you Carol. I will record a video of my grading process next time I do that for a pattern. Thank you for the suggestion! ❤

Nice makes
Thank you!
Just used Maraflex thread in double needles. Had no problem with ecru but black shredded terribly. Any advice from viewers?
I haven't tried Maraflex in double needle yet - I would be so interested to hear if anyone else had shredded thread.
😻😎♥️🌞
😊
I find anything one piece jumpsuit hard to calculate stride......kudos
It is so hard!
Hi Amelia
I’m to old to have had the same Nanna as you but mine always checked the other side.
Enjoy your channel all the best from Oz 🦘🇦🇺
Err “ too old ‘“ another she was a stickler for 😂
Yes! Love these Nanas, and the sewing heritage they have passed on! ❤
