I am thai woman, working in international organization. I sometime feel uncomfortable hanging out with foreign male co-workers in public. Because sometimes I get looked at strangely. It's like thinking I'm a prostitute. Please understand that there are many many Thai women who just working with farangs and befriends with foreigners and doesn't think anything more than that!
I stayed in Thailand for a long time. Places like Phuket Pattaya are full of prostitututes yes ,about 50% they will ask how much you pay me ? Even if they are not prostitututes girls who working Normal jobs will go out in the evening looking for man to pay them it's called freelance. And it's nothing unusual,but I couldn't get used to it. I get ofended when a girl says I do freelance sometimes it's like sometimes she's whore sometimes she's not it depends when she wants to be depends on her mood. But I never payed I just deal with a normal girls who didn't ask for money. (200 in one year ) . But the funny thing is prostitutution is not anything bad in Thailand,it's just a job like any other it brings money and girls don't shame of it , something we foreigners could never understand,just needs to accept it ...
It's ridiculous that you have to feel uncomfortable with your foreign friends in public. Prostitution is really getting out of hand. We should all be kind to each other no matter our differences, and it shouldn't be seen as Prostitution in the eye of the public. I hope this stereotype dies down, and I wish you the best. Him and his family have treated me and my family well, and they have lots of knowledge and things to share. You can be friends with anyone just gotta have the right mindset!!😊
I find the best Thai women don’t like foreigners and the gold digger and scammer women are interested. That said, if you have enough patience and are able to reject the trashier folk you can find a true diamond. 5.5 years with my girl and she is the best. After 12 years traveling the world, she is enough for me

I know gym guys who dropped out of college who make minimum wage who are unable to get a girlfriend because of it. When they are really good looking or when they look really tough, they get opportunities for hooking up but nobody wants to date them long term. And the women who make minimum wage, even they expect a man who makes more than they do. That's why guys who work minimum wage jobs during college will often be friendzoned but may get asked out by those same women after the guy graduates and gets a high income job. The difference between a gold digger and that natural behavior women have is that a gold digger will just take your money, and do whatever it takes to not sleep with you while a normal woman will view money as a requirement and not the only thing you have to offer them. A lot of guys don't understand this.
Just like in the west, money is the main factor. Of course though if you're obese, then yes that's going to be a problem. But an older man with money is often going to he preferred instead of a younger man who is broke. I'm in Canada and I have noticed that the guys who get the hottest girls are always those who have a good career, sometimes the girl is educated but her income is always less, that's how hypergamy works.
