C H “Try not paying her”? What do you mean exactly? If there is an agreement between you and a person who is providing a service to you, then obviously you should stick to your part of the agreement. Not keeping your part of the deal will make you become a total jerk which gives foreigners a bad reputation in the country you’re currently in.
No matter which country or the type of service, you should always stick to what has been agreed, whether there is a written contract or not.
If you choose not to pay someone who has already provided a service to you even despite you had agreed in beforehand on a certain amount as compensation for the services provided, then *of course* she will be pissed off. She will have all the reason and all the right to be.
And no, she won’t like you after you’ve done such a thing to her. No one would, because no one likes a douchebag.
What you are saying is the equivalent of: “Go out and punch someone in the face and then we’ll see how much that person likes you.”
Saying something like this doesn’t even make sense. *Of course* the other person is not going to like you after receiving such a treatment from you. What would you expect? 🙄
Now, if what you were referring to was asking a girl to provide you with a service without you having to compensate her in the form of a monetary transaction, then sure, no problem there. She can always say no if she doesn’t like you.
But that is called “picking up a girl”, “flirting with a girl” or “hooking up with a girl”.

So I have a FRIEND who got into a professional exchange program in China and had the chance to live that life for a few years. Where he would "rent" a girlfriend for a period of time or just have a new one whenever he feels like it. It was pretty much the same thing in pattaya, maybe less clubbing but the industry is also very sophisticated and has a lot of those unspoken rules that you should watch out for. Below are his two cents...
- Always remember its about the money. ALWAYS. It is easy to find love when you have money. The girl might even convinced themselves that they are in love with you and even give you free services. But if you don't have cash, they will gtfo in the end. Always remember you are paying for a service. You don't need nor want her heart.
- Negotiate deals ahead of times. For working girls, whatever is not pre-negotiated is often open for up-sale. Which is fine, but know where your limits at. Don't let your little head control your big head. If you have any doubt, refuse the extra service that she is trying to up sell you on. Even though it sounds really tempting to bang her from behind for an Andrew Jackson, or let her ask her best friend to come over so you can have two chicks at once - DONT DO IT. Chances are that second girl is just gonna sit there naked and do nothing. Upsaled services are just another way to squeeze more money from you ALWAYS and are often performed half-heartedly at best. If you want something, ask for it specifically in advance. When my friend first got into this, he had to pay extra to get the massage girls to take off her bra. BE SPECIFIC!
- Say no to unreasonable and reasonable requests. They will ALWAYS try to take more from you if given the chance. So you need to learn to say no. She can be hungry and if you taking her to a grocery store the next thing you know she is buying a rice cooker to mail to her mom. She can be getting kicked out from her sister's house and the next thing you know she is asking you to pay for a week worth of hotel room where you are not sure if you will be staying for the night. Know when to tell her tough titties I'll see you later. My friend had a business trip coming up the next day and he made the mistake of taking a greedy (but goddamnit hot) ktv girl home. So he had to drag her ass out of his apt the next morning because she wants to stay there while he is on the trip for a week! He was on edge the whole trip because now she knows he won't be home for a week and might decide to come back and take that plasma TV! He got a ring doorbell after that...
- Only pay the amount that you are willing to lose, and expect to lose more than you planned. There is always a chance of that girl not living up to promise. If losing more than a grand will ruin your vacation, don't negotiate for a grand. This is a dark industry where you got zero protection and EVERYONE will meet that girl where they lose money to from time to time. Know how much you can and are willing to lose. This "activity" should be an enhancement or upgrade to your trip. Not your whole trip.
- Hide your sh*t. Money, valuable, personal information, contact numbers, EVERYTHING. You can be less paranoid about this as you know the girl better. But if you don't tempt her, you don't get disappointed. Don't brag about your income or job or cars or inheritance and don't give her the idea that you might have any money lying around. Anything you say can and will be used against you if she sees the opportunity. My friend let a girl played with his phone once and she found out where he worked. Two months later she went there looking for him asking for favors, saying she didn't want to but she is desperate and had no choice...... You don't want to be in that situation.
- Test drive your car before you buy it. Or rent it, in this case. Before my friend contracts any girl long term, he always take her out for a spin first. Start with a simple session, then after a few quality dates maybe take her out for a night, and after a few more times you will know what kind of service you'll get for your money and she will be more comfortable with you as well and even be more likely to give you extra since she knows you better now. Another upside to this is that you will be spending money on a girl you already like (or you wouldn't be back so many times right) and can kinda trust you will have a good time with.
- Know the platform. There are many ways you can get some services. Bar girl, massage girl, ktv girl, relax-center girls, hotel hookers, pimps, social medias, ads, online chat rooms or even just references from one of those girls. They all work a little differently and rules don't always apply across platform. Know exactly what is provided and what is going on before signing up for anything so you don't get surprised.
- Explore around. Push your limits. You may be pleasantly surprised. He once hired a woman almost the age of his mom for a week to go on vacation to a hot spring destination - according to him it was one of the greatest experience of his life. He frequent a relax-center where two young hot twin girls gave awesome thai soap massage together and he took them on a few cruise trips just to show off. He even contracted his co-worker once, just because he wants to know what it feels like to bang a co-worker no strings attached... And do you know legal age for a girl to consent to have sex is not 18 in China? Anyway... Look for it. Ask for it. Think outside of the box. Be careful, be knowledgeable, and don't settle for less. You write your own contracts and there are no limits to the things you will find in this industry.
- Be safe. My friend went to a massage place to get a massage and China cops showed up. Luckily he worked at a pretty prestige and semi-government related place and they were only doing population census (check if anyone there didn't have a permit to be living/working in the city) and weren't busting Johns that night. Well, that, and he was honest-to-god-there-to-get-a-legit-massage. They did find a condom in the trash can though. They end up giving him a lecture and let him go. There were like fifty onlookers outside so he had to do the walk of shame but at least he didn't get locked up I guess that's a win...
- Hospital visit. Always use protection. No matter how innocent she may seem. Do a full panel after your trip. Know the latent period of all common illness. Let your doctor know that you had fun while abroad.

Excellent advice. I'd also add that these girls know exactly how to make a man fall in love. They have sad stories and lie with such realism. @@Tensilver-in9xz I did a blend of budget to luxury accomodations depending where I was. Certain websites offer huge discounts when booking accomodations. Entertainment fluctuated, some days, I'd cool out at my hotel and other days I'd treat myself to whatever my heart desired, outside. The main thing is that you'll enjoy it more when you don't have to worry about money. Over-budget. I met some travelers that came to blow their budget w/no questions asked and I met others that were sticking to a specific budget. Besides your bank account, everything comes down to your personality and the type of experiences you're looking for. Now that I've got the first trip out the way, I'm looking forward to going back. But one thing I must mention is to have medium to low expectations so when you do experience so good stuff, it's a blast. These videos are definitely helpful, in my opinion.

There is no way to know if 2 people are compatible , especially in such a small time frame. And if one of those thinks they can rule and make every decision over 2 weeks or more lessens the chance of a happy holiday even more. Very informative info content , good job. May i add that, i find restaurants with a bar are the best places to observe and assess how individuals are programmed. You can catogarise from laid back to crazy, lazy to helpfull, needy or greedy, Make your own individual scoring system for your holiday needs Obviously my own needs for holiday matter but not written in stone nor selfish .Remember that if you choose the right one, that Thai person will believe it or not "help you pay less for things".. Teach you a little Thai , talk to the thai only speaking people on your behalf (if she understands you).and keep you warm at night. I can throw in my own experience: Some years ago, we went to Pattaya with a friend for a weekend. We hit the walking street right after arrival, not sure what to choose, walking back and forth several times. Finally we just picked a random bar since we were tired of the abundance of choices available. Immediately two girls sat next to us, I got the prettier one, he got not a bad one but less pretty so I felt I won that round. In the end, my girl turned out to be a fail - stupid, boring, absolutely no sense of humor, kept asking for extra money every few minutes. I kicked her out of my room after 3 hours. My friend's girl stayed with him the whole night, the next day she drove both of us around Pattaya in her car, then we rented a boat, went together to a nearby small island, had some food, drinks at the beach, etc. The next day she drove us to the airport. She never asked for any extra money (but of course we gave her cash to buy petrol afterwards), ate very moderately, drunk only water. Lessons learned? Not every bar girl is a bitch.

It's good info for those that have never been there. I made some mistakes years ago and learned it is SUPER important to do a few short times with the lady before you commit for longer .. That said, these days I just get a new one every night as I find more than two nights in a row they get clingy. I would recommend the following:
Just know you are a walking ATM, it's nothing personal, not a bad thing it's just "their way".
Western life is no different we simply call it a taboo subject but it's exactly the same. People judge others on income and looks. Thailand is NO different, you simply need to understand that over there you are wealthy compared to the average Thai and many prefer white skin. (and not even as much as previously).
But the big thing you need to *understand* is you are just an ATM and most often a girl will have a few bf's it's not taboo for them. We are *trained* differently in the west that's all.

The first and last comment regarding this issue is the level of seriousity explained here. It is to much analyzing of how to do, what to do, risc analyzing, etc.. To get a holiday gf in Thailand is quiet easy and do not requiere a lot of effort. The costs are also always related to the length of stay of course. Since the freelancers are working just forget about figuring out weather she like you or not. It is a total waste of time. The aproach is of course weather she work good or not. If she work good she is most likely going to stay with you as long as you want her to. A good worker will continue to work good instead of the one pretending that she likes you for some reason. The lenght of stay can be terminated whenever you want of course and do not requiere any extra expenses. If you have actually taken her from her place of work until another city it is a matter of deasensy that you also pay for her ticket back again. You don't have to attend to the trip yourself. he most important issue here is that you are clear to her about what you want to do and when you are doing it. Somethings can happend anyway and everyone understands this. Especially the good workers. You simply takes the amount agreed upon, (if agreed upon), and cut off the part missing. You don't need an excuse either. Just be polite, smiling and tell what you will do now and send her off. She will be happy making the money for the period she actually stayed. Treat her with respect even you will send her back home and there will be no problems attached. She have nothing to throw back at you so she will of course behave in a good way so she actually get as much as possible. The good working girls are very easy going and easily adapts the change of the situation. The girls to avoid is the girls eating money quickly and not really trying to make you feel good. This category is neccessary to get rid of as soon as you discover it. The result will be the same. You will send her off with the reasonable amount attached but maybe cut off some more since the reason of departure here is her efforts to make you feel good.

All sounds like good, honest advice. There's at least two guys I know, not unusual (I understand) who got it wrong and after living there for years, massively supporting Thai families, until these guys got old, with diminished earning power. Just when payback retirement time should kick in, they both got got ejected by their 'loving' families....ending up in Waterloo station, or some such place with only what they had in their pockets! I warned the second guy who was convinced he'd be OK there, but to no avail.
So the moral is: follow this Utube guy's advice, enjoy the dream, go for it for what it is ( as the moment is only temporary).
The comment about the quality of the hotel affecting the price of the girl makes perfect sense and basically applies to everything. ..how much you pay depends on whether she see's the time she spends with you as being work for her or a holiday for her. I wonder if you are more likely to get a better deal in the low season when it's harder for her to earn a dollar on the street? The cost to her of taking a few days off "work" for a holiday would be less in the off season
Would depend on how much the girl is in demand. Theoretical example. Peak season she has 20 guys per day interested in her. Low/off season she has 10 guys interested in her. If she wants to/can only do a handful of guys per day then any additional interest beyond that becomes (somewhat) irrelevant. Off course, this example isn't totally accurate, but you get the idea. Don't worry about timing it right, go for the girl you want and if price is okay go ahead, if not find another hottie.
I did 9 years straight living in pattaya. the happiest white guys were the single ones. we all had non live in regulars but troubles always started when they moved in. might be different for holiday makers but I still think it is asking for trouble. good idea would be to ask her if she wants a daily allowance or weekly allowance. that would probably be ok.

I have found that there are ways you can tell if the girl likes you. For starters, if she stays around after you have sex even though it was supposed to be short time. You know, she doesn't get dressed and leave immediately. Another way one can tell that is when you go out to other bars with her, she pays lots of attention to you even if her friends are around. You know, coming over and kissing you or sitting on your lap, putting her arm around you etc.. I have actually had them buy me drinks sometimes. which is nice.
I can vouch for Freelancers in Thailand. It is much better than a non-working girl. You also save you a lot of time in the end because you don't get excuses like "not today , no, im on my period, etc".
