It seems a lot of times not even idols themselves know what things they sign up for, and what things they have to give up in order for them to be famous while working under a contract with a company that (in case of idols) manages literally their lives.

This is what I’ve been saying about Jungkook. Bro gets caught smoking minimum every 2 months. It’s not cute or empowering. With Lisa's situation, it's simply this.... While certain more liberal-minded people in the West would consider her performance art and liberating, it would be lying to claim that any form of a majority even in the West would consider exotic dancing anywhere near a "respectable" career. That situation is much worse across pretty much all of Asia. The reason backlash towards Lisa is going to be worst in places like South Korea and China is because the role "culture" plays there as a tool for exerting geopolitical power (for South Korea) and social control (for China). By giving herself this image, it potentially becomes damaging to South Korea and China if they include her as part of their respective cultures.
In South Korea she got criticism but she didn't get that much hate but in China it was way too much and Angela baby was unnecessarily targeted she was targeted for attending the bp concert also while many celebrity also attended South Korea should also banned this Chinese idols i don't know why they're debuting them

It's funny because I remember seeing underage girls dance essentially just as provocative/ actual burlesque for kpop survival talent shows. It's not actually a strip clup. It's just as "sexual" as alot of kpop/hiphop dances are, just from the 19th century. Actually Mamamoo even did it in one of their music videos. It was only Gunwook, Gyuvin and Ricky who are all maknaes. Whether this means the staff might have been kinder if the older members were present, I have no idea. All I know is that he didn’t deserve to be talked to in such a way.

He was evil edited along with almost every other Chinese trainee. So seeing stuff like this is nothing new for us but nonetheless disappointing.

However the three members were struggling to share one device to do the stream. It was difficult for all three to fit on the screen.
Ricky decided to start up a separate livestream simultaneously, so they could all interact with fans better. I guess Ricky felt that it was a good solution to the three members struggling to share one device.
However this wasn't part of the plan, it wasn't approved.
So, I can understand that the management would want him to stop his stream. The staff would want to monitor the stream, and the unscheduled additional livestream that Ricky started would potentially make things harder for staff to keep an eye on.
BUT the way the staff handled it was totally unprofessional, and inexcusable. The language they used was very condescending and rude.
They continued to audibly reprimand Ricky up until the end of the approved stream that Gyuvin, and Gunwook were doing. So who knows how long it continued after that?
The staff handled it terribly. The fact that they felt comfortable to tell Ricky off during a livestream, so fans could hear, is worrying. If they have no problems acting this way when people can hear them, how bad are they when nobody can see?
There's been other times that staff have been cruel to idols during livestreams. It's happened several times to members of NCT.
The most extreme example I know of is a live with members of the girl group Fanatics. They were wearing short skirts, and another member passed them blankets to cover their legs and protect their modesty.
A member of staff lost their temper, calling the member who handed over blankets an idiot for trying to cover up the members on the stream, before a noise is heard from off camera, which sounded like someone being slapped.
TL;DR:
Ricky messed up by starting the additional livestream at the same time as the approved one with him and Gyuvin, and Gunwook.
*BUT* the staff was totally out of line. The staff was rude and didn't care that all the fans could hear everything.
They could have reprimanded Ricky off camera, and there was no reason to be so rude about it.

Yes I support the 50/50 rebranding and adding new members with Keena. Many of the past 50/50 fans dont seems to realise the general public didn't know the girls, some didn't even know the groups name, many didn't even know the song was kpop, though the song itself was very popular....so it will be easy for the new ones to assimilate using the name and the fame they have surrounding the exposure with this lawsuit mess....as many now will want to see what the new line up brings to the table....including myself... as long as the new line up can sing and dance...they'll be just fine.

I love lisa, i have been a huge fan of blackpink and her for years now. And while she can definitely do whatever she wants..it is true that a lot of her fans are minors and idk, I wouldn't let cardi b perform at middle school. Lisa's content was probably removed from those brands pages because of Weibo censoring Lisa so they don't risk being censored themselves. It was extremely bold of her to perform at such a show if she intended to continue to promote in Asia as most Asian countries are extremely conservative about that kind of thing, especially China. This is widely known so she should know this.
Ricky should have ditched that agency before debut. Of course I feel badly that he's being mistreated because he isn't Korean, but it's not like the fact that Korean agencies treat any non-Korean like dirt on the bottom of their shoe is unknown and unheard of. Everybody knows this, especially trainees, especially Chinese trainees. He would have known. I hope the backlash from fans make things better but I guess if other groups with former Chinese members showed us anything, the mistreatment of Chinese trainees does not get better regardless of the amount of backlash. Very few companies treat their Chinese members well unfortunately, I can only think of a handful at a push. I agree with others, that manager needs to be fired. He's clearly not good at his job.
I'm glad that they're keeping the Fifty Fifty name, I honestly don't think it needs to be called Fifty Fifty V2, I hope they just keep the original name. As the video said, 20% of the world's luxury market is in China, which is the 2nd top market for luxury goods, with Japan who are also more conservative following behind at 3rd place, and unfortunately Thailand are nowhere remotely close.
So she's effectively shut herself out of at least a solid 1/3rd of luxury deals through that single performance which is not smart at all if she still wants to be a public figure. She's also now made it more difficult for brands that promote in these major markets (which is most of them) to bring her on as an ambassador or representative or to do any deal with her at the risk of receiving backlash, boycott if not being thrown out of the market entirely by the country in China's case.. Rule of thumb is if there's even a light suggestion you might cause these brands issues like this, they won't risk it by taking you.
If she wants to continue in Kpop, well we know that Korea are also rather conservative per the Knets responses to it, so it's unlikely she'll be as big as before in Korea now at the very least and obviously due to that as well as the forecasted departure from her company she'd be the luckiest person in the world if she wasn't blacklisted from key music shows which would end her career as a soloist instantaneously. There is no coming back from an entertainment industry blacklist in Korea.
The only place Lisa could continue to promote now for certainty is either in Thailand, or in the USA. In the USA she will not be able to compete with Western artists without the Blackpink name so her next best bet would be Thailand. I'm not familiar with Thailand's market but one thing's for certain and it's that she'll be nowhere near the level of successful as she has been under Blackpink.
Obviously yea nobody else can really tell her what to do, people can point out the stupidity of her decisions and how it could majorly impact or end her career in entertainment though.
