Dear salicylic acid is in powdered form, which needs to be dissolved in a solvent, before use. If you use the wrong solvent, it the liquid will crystallise.
I would recommend you add a few drops of water soluble dye to it. it blends better than mica. I get mine from here: www.elementsbathandbody.com/colorants/water-soluble-liquid-colorants.aspx

ou need to dissolve the salicylic acid in a solvent, else it will recrystallise. In this recipe, I dissolved it in propanediol and glycerine, there is another recipe of mine, where I dissolve it in propylene glycol.. it can also be dissolve in octyldodecanol. It all depends on what you are formulating. I buy my ingredients from: lotioncrafter.com formulatorsampleshop.com, ingredientstodiefor.com and sometimes from amazon.com

You can lower the pH value by adding a citric acid solution to the product.
