DCS:A-10C Warthog - Sturmovik Campaign Mission 01: Trophy (Trimmed Walkthrough)

This campaign revolves around two A-10C stolen by the Russians, and is used for testing, evaluation, and later in combat. Originally made for Russian local language, but is subtitled for English (voiceovers remain Russian however). Unlike most other playthrough, I want to trim out the boring flights, leaving only key events, mission dialogues, or particular tasks for the missions.
In this mission I'm tasked with hijacking one of the A-10s from Batumi, and flying it into friendly territory. Without doubt I had to scramble my ass immediately at the start, as enemy forces were sent to stop our efforts. Also a good showcase of the INFLIGHT alignment, and one of few times I actually had to do it.
Some tips for this mission:
- Learn to start up. FAST. Start taxi after left engine is spooled
- Learn to use In-flight Alignment. You won't have time
- Stay below 500 ft, otherwise there's a spawn trigger of 2 F-16s
- Don't bother following AI; just wanted to practice formation

Yeah unfortunately the mission creator wasn't very clear about that part. Good luck with the campaign playthrough though!

That said, did you perform the INFLT alignment, or normal ground align but took off before it was ready?

I know this is an old video but...
I've just finished this mission, but only just about limped to Gudauta with the fuel I was given. And that was only by skipping the scripted bits where I go to Sukhumi and then get diverted.
Is there something I'm missing in terms of fuel conservation or plane set-up? Seems pretty brutal on the first mission of a campaign to give you *just* enough fuel to make it to your destination.

Check the the Fuel Display Sel dial is set to INT (internal) and not whatever the default position is. That way you get the full total fuel displayed. Unless they messed something up and you actually start with significantly less fuel now. In any case at full throttle you burn about 100 lb per minute

can you tell me how your able to link up to your wing man on your left MFCD? or at least point me to the right section in the manual so i can read up on it? thank you for any help and your time.

Select TAD page on MFD, set it as SOI. Move cursor to wingman on TAD, TMS Up short to hook. That will show him as dashed square on the HUD as you see in the video. You can also TMS Up Long to set him as SPI and slave your TGO on him, provided you already have him hooked ofc.
I don't refer to the manual often so I can't say where to look for, sorry. Hope the explanation will suffice. I'd suggest googling up "DCS A-10C Multiplayer SADL Guide", the PDF shows some handy tricks on TAD stuff. Hope this helps!
