  • This campaign revolves around two A-10C stolen by the Russians that are used for testing, evaluation, and later in combat. Originally made for Russian local language, but is subtitled for English. This is a trimmed playthrough, and will only show key events, mission dialogues, aircraft systems setups, and particular tasks for the missions.
With the Georgians being pushed back across the river, the main goal now is to prevent further interference from any of the remaining enemy aircraft. This night time strike on Senaki Airbase is being conducted by quite a few friendly air assets: a flight of two SEAD Su-34s, total of 6 Su-24s (a pair each for illumination, runway denial, and bombing), and of course us A-10s to clear the area of anti-aircraft threats and clean up any surviving targets. The interdiction mission is pretty awesome to watch, with the spectacular illumination from the flares dropped by Su-24s, followed shortly by the rapid bomb drops on the runway and parking ramps.
...Unfortunately I might have been too effective in my attacks. The mission skipped a voiceline of the Su-24s requesting the destruction of the two Vulcans (which I wiped out in my intial attack), and another pair dropping bombs on the non-existent aircrafts on the ramp that I had already destroyed with rockets. Oh well...
    Some tips for this mission:
    - Spot all targets from long range as early as possible
    - Use AGM-65 Mavericks to destroy anti-aircraft from a safe distance
    - Ripple-fire rockets are very effective against the aircraft row
    - Take advantage of the illumination flares; use NVGs when not available
CDU Wind Briefing mod is still broken as of this Open Beta version. I had to revert the game to a previous version to retrieve the LASTE info.
