I love to hear when you said it was hard when you were little but you feel accepted now and it has gotten easier. I hope my daughter also finds her voice as she gets older.

It took me until I was 27 to learn how to grocery shop without having a meltdown. I started with smaller grocery stores and now I can even go to a big store like Walmart with no issue! I'm so glad Abbey is doing so well with it! Stores like that are a nightmare for people like us

If you’re feeling like the choices are overwhelming at regular stores, try Aldi- it has some unique things like the quarter in the carts and needing to bag your own things at the end BUT their selection is much more simplified and as someone with ADHD I feel like it helps me not waste too much time or money on things I didn’t plan to purchase. I was a little daunted of their process at first but it didn’t take me long to really appreciate how much easier shopping was when I didn’t have to make a bunch of choices. 😊
