    Great education; thanks to both of you. I think the entire process is unnecessarily complex and demands further simplification. Registering a piece of acquired land should not take as long as seven months, even in Ghana.

    Adverse calm process seems very dated, a newspaper posting seems very outdated.
    7 months for transfer of ownership is very long

    Asuming my great grand parents acquired a Cantonment land. And now it's due for renewal. You expect me to get 1 million dollars from where 😅?

      Hahhaa… that’s a tough one. Given that you are not new buyers, A much more flexible payment plan could be negotiated

    Thank you my sister this was an interesting video. It would be helpful before buying the land wouls u be able to find out first if the land can be used as residential or Commercial before buying a land sounds backwards to me who wants to waste money on potentially buying a land that you might not be able to build. Plus are there no more freehold or is it just lease hold as I'm not feeling that you are buying land but it's actually not yours as in the contract in a small print you would need to renew after 50 to 70 years so if you bought this land you’ve built a beautiful house you could have passed away but means you've lost everything. Whoever you've passed it down to for your children sounds stressful for your family. So before buying the land you need to look at the contract to make sure that it's fully a freehold or if not a lease hold that is 99 yrs That means you would need to pay up front to make sure it is extended to 99 years then it been 50 years

    I think most of our past and present local authorities who has failed to plan and zone our lands in Ghana 🇬🇭 need to be prosecuted. Due to what floods etc and other course happens in our neighbourhood.

    We have an indenture we attempted to register it it didn't go through successfully
    On so many occasions they said when they plotted someone else name appears
    We have built and live on the land
    For the past 30 years no one has approached us to litigate or claim the land since we started and completed the property why don't they register for us
    The property is in Anya ablekuma

    What if you and the leaseholders, can't agree on, rental price, or afford, the renewal price. ? What will happen, you have being living on this land all your life.

      You can go to court for the matter to be settled. The Law expects the land owner to give a reasonable price based on market value at the said time
