That's great information! I would like to know the difference between stool land, private land, and government land. And, are the process of getting ownership to the land the same? It's very complex! Since so many millions of people were taken from the Gold Coast during the Transatlantic Slave Trade, what happened to the property of those people?

I don’t see what’s appealing about buying land in Ghana for the following reasons:
1. As a foreigner you can only lease hold for a maximum of 50 years
2. The dimensions of a plot of land are inflationary. A plot of land used to be 100x100 now it’s 70x100 for more money.
3. Four plot ≠ acre
Be careful out there…don’t think you getting an acre with four plots and paying acre money.
Please i bought a land and the family head gave me 50yrs but i am 100percent Ghanaian, what can i do about it. Because they gave me the document longtime ago

Does the same rules apply to demarcated or serviced plots bought from a real estate company? I mean do buyers have to do a search as well?
Yes it does. Not all lands sold by real estate companies are actually owned by them and i am saying this from experience. Kindly try as much as possible to do all necessary due diligence before making any payments for land
