dude, that 2 hour vid is in my favorites just because of it. Hilarious because all us die hard FF fans who've spent hours and hours playing the games have had moments just like that at one point. At any rate, keep up the good work. It's nice to have another 30 year old FF nerd to relate to :)
When I thought you were going to mention tonberys, the first thing that came to mind, "RUN FOR YOUR LIIIIIIIIVVES!!!!!!!" *Crowds running and screaming*
just want to personally say THANK YOU DK. im sure you put in alot of work for these top 10(as well as your walkthroughs) and i for one really enjoy them. i'll be looking forward to your next top 10
Yuruloki X Deceptive, yes. But in most of the games they can be dealt with as long as you use a specific strategy. No need for specific equipment setups or anything. In FFVII, I can end them in two attacks with Cloud lol
"Give me a diamond." -Friendly Yan before someone hits it. Yans in that game also have the strongest moves in the game, with normal aggressive Yans using things like Comet and Meteor along with various status moves. Friendly Yans also use "BAAAAH!" the strongest *physical* move in the game. ...What is it with Square Enix and overpowered sheep?
I was thinking about Cactuar from FF10 with their 10,000 needles. Not to long ago, I was going after Rikku's celestial weapon and had to do that side quest. Ran into two Cactuar's and they both took out my whole party with that move
I loved Final Fantasy V growing up :( I remember going to Toys R Us back in 97 when I was 7 years old and picking up the Anthology. Lot of good memories associated with Final Fantasy 5 and 6.
Where are you Darkkefka you haven't uploaded anything in the last week... (Final fantasy 6) I hope your not dead because you one of the only decent (if not the best) Final fantasy youtubers that commentates and that is awesome shiz.
You will see what is in store in the later dungeons of 2 and 3. Luckily, as you might have seen in FF1, aside from Ghasts in Early game, there aren't too many tough bosses.
Miracle to think that I just stumble upon your random videos and to see you replying to people on month old videos (even though they said something yesterday) is truly inspiring. Still proud of you for making all these videos!
I knew FFVIII Malboros would make the list. God I hate those things, Always spamming Bad Breath, and has like 100,000 HP. If only there was another way to get the Ribbon ability other then from the pocket station. Also hate the Brachosaurs from FFVI, those things are even much harder then Kefka.
I can beat him with 1 character too. I can also beat Omega and Kaiser Dragon with one character. But you're missing the point... Paladin Shield, Master Scroll(offering) Life 3, AND Quick. Why should we use the most over powered setuos to beat a normal monster??? This is stuff that should be used on bosses, not normal enemies.
Sorcerers from the original FF1 on the NES. Their normal attacks have a 50% chance to just outright kill the target. Instant death. And they have a breath attack that hits the whole party and paralyzes. And they come in packs of 3 to 5. You see these guys, you run. Because if you try to fight them, you will die. Believe me, I played through FF1 three times, as well as FFs 4,5 6,7,8,9,10 and 12. Sorcerers are the most absurdly unfair enemies I've ever run across.
Okay might not be VERY DIFFICULT but the monster that gives me the most trouble by far are Coeurl. They do that zap thing and take away a lot of health and inflict status effects if I remember correctly.
Which ones? The ones from FF12? Yeah, they can be a pain, but the Ose monsters in the Great Crystal have a move called Hell Blaster which not only does 60% of the target's max HP but also buries that target in debuffs. If a character gets hit with 2 of those before he/she can heal, they're gonna die.
lol, dude, I love this :) most of all your commentary. Breath of fresh air, definately not little kid friendly, but made me laugh a ton. Thanks for your efforts :)
Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite final fantasy but if you think one of the brachs is bad. Try fighting two of them. There is a rare encounter where you fight two of them. I don't know if it's in the japanese only version or not It's fun though.
As did I. My channel is pretty old but I beat FFVI low level. You can find four as treasure so you only need to steal ten. Forgot to add Gogo to make stealing easier. Only one in my group who figured out Gogo can have any abilities of any character in the Status list.
Bad microphone. He has a much better one now,but he can't think of any list that needs remaking or any new one. He has said that he will make a KH list sometime in the future and he will probably make a list after FF15 is out
"What the FUCK were they thinking when they created these little SHEEP" - Dude... you are a legend, hahaha! Love your videos, Thanks for the awesome FF entertainment. Much Love.
Dunno how you didn't even honorable mention Tonberry. Especially the ones in FFX, which counter almost 100% of the time with Everyone's Grudge which is based on how much damage you've done throughout the game. (And Don Tonberry has the worse Everyone's Rancor, which DOES the dmg that character has done over the game)
Arh... The Marlboro. If your party don't have the 4 ST-DEF ability, or Quistis Degenerator Limit break, then don't bother encounter it at all.... Great video by the way. I can feel the frustration trough the screen... :-)
ruby dragon is actually MORE of a pain in the ass at higher levels, because 8 had that mechanic where you regular enemies leveled up as you got stronger. and you can't rig the system by doing a low-level run, because sometimes the enemies are automatically level 100!
oh, i should clarify: a low-level run is always a good idea in ff8; you can just junction all the best magic to have good stats regardless. what i mean is it won't always HELP against ruby dragons, because they typically show up anywhere the monsters are locked to being level 100 regardless of your party level, and they start being able to 1-shot a whole party of max-health characters around level 80.
Ruby Dragons are only locked at level 100 at the Island Closest to Hell (they do not spawn on the Island Closest to Heaven, the other spot where monsters are locked to lvl 100). And if you have high Vitality (physical defense) and/or Protect, you can survive it. Yeah somehow that breath attack is physical.
i think they're also level 100 in the underwater research facility, aren't they? at least when you go to the lower levels. and some of those encounters are staged; enc-none only removes the truly random ones. so you HAVE to fight them to get eden. good tip with the vit, though. i mostly just capped hp and str.
No actually, the game uses the normal formula for determining the enemies levels in the Deep Sea Research Center, it just adds 15 levels to it. So depending on your average party level, they may or may not be level 100 down there. I forgot about that place though lol. Though I dont remember if Ruby Dragons actually appear in the lowest levels, I only thought they appear in the fixed encounters after answering the first two questions before fighting Bahamut. Also the enemies only appear on the lowest levels, if you use Zell to get down there, if you dont, then there are no encounters all the way down in the lowest area, even without Enc-None.
LOL! I predicted the #1 exactly. When you said, "these little bastards..," I immediately thought of those little sheep. You are absolutely right, that little island where you encounter these things is the best place to level up. I spent hours here grinding them from level 50 to 99 in a reasonably short amount of time. Zantetsuken is the only way I fought them...I didn't bother with other attacks because they would just counter attack. I saved after every successful battle. Great gaming minds! :) "Fuck these little sheep!" -- Too funny!
lzn60 I don't remember such a cactuar version. At least not in terms of "regular" enemies. There are some "special" ones that deal over 10k damage by delivering multiple salvos, but 99999 in "one" hit is nothing I heard of when talking cactuars.
Much respect to the OG super-monster you were not expecting. Try to imagine playing this as a child and not realizing that the altars in the back of the boss rooms were a free teleport out of the dungeon, obliging you to walk back out. Now imagine just barely beating Tiamat and starting the trek back...
He's considered a boss. He can only be encountered on 6 adjacent squares in the whole game. That is as close to a fixed location as the NES was gonna get for a secret boss. Even by Square, Warmech is considered FF1's super boss and therefore can not be counted as a normal enemy.
Also, I noticed the Elder Drake along with the Mushroom Cloud. If you're unprepared for Elder Drake, even solo, it will likely kill you because it's extremely fast.
Andrew Carver Plus, the only reason he was hard 4 me was the fact that his attack "nuke" would crash my emulator (For some reason, it's not like my phone is weak), meaning I only had like 4 turns to end the fight and u need quite a bit of time to setup buffs in this game.
Oh wait, the GBA version is too easy... I faced him on my solo Warrior/Knight run ON MY FIRST ENCOUNTER!! What are the odds of that? Anyway he killed me over 20 times. My strategy was to use blink 2-3 times and protect and heal if needed and pray I can kill him than his Nuclear attack... Even then, beating him was a miracle, he used Nuclear 1 time for 83 or so damage... Luckily I had an emulator and I save stated just incase this happened. And I really wanted to fight it.. and if I got a game over I would have to had ran the whole way back up to walk around for another good half hour to find it, just to get killed 20 seconds later..
@@chaoskiller6084 no, he is considered the game's super boss. He can only be encountered on 6 adjacent squares in the game. That's as close to a fixed location for a secret boss as we were gonna get on the NES at the time.
In FFVI, I like to levelup outside the dinosaur forest. Battles are much easier and on average give as much exp as the dinosaurs. On the other hand, you probably really want the rare and very broken Ecomonizer the Brachosaur might drop...
By the way, did you know that if you make your whole party immune to Sleep, you can just use Quina's "Night" ability to cast Sleep on Yans with 100% success rate? Pretty useful.
Well no...you see..as you know..I hate quina. He'/she is just like Edward from ff4. It's a character I hate so much..that I don't care how good he is, I'll never use him.
That's perfectly fine (although I can't relate to your hatred for Quina), but that does make the game, or at least parts of it, unnecessarily harder for you than it needs to be at times. For example, s/he is also a useful party member for the Ozma boss fight, as s/he can cure all status ailments from Curse in a single turn. But well, it's not like it's impossible to get by without Quina, so whatever works for you.
+Darkkefka but did you never equip poor Edward with the loki's lute in the GBA version? With that, he does 9999 damage on almost anything you encounter! The more you know! 😜
Great list dude! Two of my suggestions from facebook were added on here Im glad I could help you pick some. The FFX HD is coming soon and Ill finally get to try FFX-2 never played it before, Ill finally get to see just how insane the Via Infinito is 0.0
are the abysteel by supposed to come all at once? Cause they were coming in waves of five (I kinda final eclipsed the first wave) and then later 9 showed up at once. Is it randi. How many show up?
a good honorable mention is the Shinra's Bestiary where you get the Garment Grid that can do Finale which if you didn't escape a single battle you could do 99,999 damage but if not then it is based on your attack or something
Darkkefka Mega Tonberry from FFX-2 ought to be at least an honorable mention. Without Cat Nip, you're pretty much dead since: 1. He oneshots any character with less than 16,000 HP (which is hard to break); and 2. He attacks VERY FAST. 3. Not to mention his accuracy is like, 100%.
Loved the video, you always make me laugh with your commentary. Few points of advise though. 1: Brachiosaur FF6 is easy to beat with using QUICK and a Genji Glove / Chain attacking scroll. But Running Shoes on the char you're levelling up to cast quick to cast haste on your tank. I've not seen a Brachiosaur attack in years. 2: Red Dragon FF4, even in DS version, is a pain but forget berserk - Paralyse and poison. Once paralysed equip Avenger on Cecil for that juicy berserk, cast Holy with Kain, and just whittle him down. he's easier in DS because you can see him moving to cast Hold / Pin again before it attacks. 3: FF12 is a joke, that fight you showed is easy: As soon as they appear MANUALLY select OIL and FIRAGA. sleep is wasted effort unless they're way above your level. other than that, Almost anything can be obliterated with a bubbled, gravija Zeromus. lead with your character with Zeromus, when/if Zeromus dies use MIST. If it's alive, bring out a second char - your first char can chain for free. Need more dmg? Bring out a third. Still alive? Luckily using Mist cancels enemy targeting, quickly sub one character, use an ether on the one you replaced, use Mists. You can initiate 6 in a row, can keep chaining until you win and rarely ever take a hit.
Good luck using Oil + Firaga against the Archaeoaevis duo in the Zertinan Caverns on the remake of FF12. The only reason why that fight is not #1 is because this Top 10 list hasn't been updated since this video was released.
2 things: FUCKING YANS! And, the Marlboro from 8 is very hard early on, but once you get ST-J ATK & DEF, you can beat them TOO EASILY. Have 1 character with Drain on STJ ATK & Pain, Sleep, Confuse & Break/Death (I think, I need to check my set-up) on STJ DEF. Leaving Berserk on while removing any potential death through statuses allows your 1 character to attack constantly for high damage, while constantly healing themselves, WITHOUT YOU PUSHING A BUTTON :D. While the rest of the team suffer quietly off to the side ha! So, as much as I hate them, I'm not sure about Marlboro's place in this list. Yan's however...FUCKING YANS!
It's not a normal monster, but has anyone fought the Friendly Yan in FF9? That thing has higher stats than anything else in the game! expect 4000-9999 damage from any of it's attacks (depending on your equipment)
Karifean Lv 99 with all skills learned and all the best equipment (except excalibur II). But that thing kept spamming "BAH!!!!" which hits harder than anything else in the game (except meteor)
Okay, with the release of FF X-2 HD, I have to say... I hate 'Tonberry the Ripper' and 'Shady Duo'. With a passion. I can't count how many times they killed me.
Nah. "Tonberry the Ripper" is a Mega Tonberry, and "Shady Duo" is a Black Elemental + Mushroom Cloud formation. You fight them in the Arena. The special thing about these is that you can fight them really early in the game, simply by getting to the fourth tournament in Creature Create, and they will KICK YOUR ASS. They will halt your progress for a looong time since there is no easy quick way to defeat either of them. So I guess they fall under your "monsters that are too overpowered because you fought them too early" filter. Not that they are easy at high levels either... but some people have leveled up to very high levels in Chapter 1 just to get past these guys since you can get a free copy of the Mascot dressphere just a bit further down the road.
if youu use the amophorus gel and level it u a little it aswell as teach it darkness and vigor, it can easily take them out multiple times (haste is useful too)
Dude I know this video is old, but I hope that you have practiced more on your delivery. I mean, the list is awesome, and you really put thought into it, but sometimes I can't understand what you're saying and when you yell it makes it even worse. Gonna check your newer videos.
Haha! Calm down dude. Both comments were honest. But if you can't deal with the idea of someone congratulating another for his or her achievements, then I get why you think that. It is so cool to see that he really took an advice and that he's actually improved. And because I got a reply and we're in the land of trolls, I felt that I had to be clear that it only was constructive criticism. When I originally posted the comment I thought he would only read it. He deserved it. Read my original comment, there's no hate in there. Maybe you are not accustomed to mature people. The worst part of all of this? This comment is larger than the other ones.
ArepawithCheese It's funny, the first time I watched him I thought the same thing. I couldn't understand a word he said! But literally by the second video I picked up on it and I quite like his commentating.
I think Lightning and Tifa are the best dissidia character. Lightning can do HP attacks mid Bravery combos, and if you press X mid combo with Tifa, she will teleport.
I disagree with having any Final Fantasy 6 monsters on this list. It's my favorite game in the series, but there are so many ways to exploit the game that anything can be defeated fairly quickly. For example, you can use any of the following to win quick: Vanish+doom or X zone Genji Glove+Offering+Atma Weapon+Any other powerful sword Quick+any strong attacks (tools, blitzes, sword techs, magic, etc) Also, that forest is NOT the best place to level up. The island with Doma is. Cast vanish on your party member (only use on character at a time) and equip the offering and experience egg. The monsters here give crazy experience and they rarely use magic. You can gain 30+ levels with one character in an hour or two.
14 characters that will have to gain between 30-50 levels if I want to max them at that point. There are only 3 types of enemy near Doma, and the xp they give is between 1500 and 2500 each, it's garbage. Dino Forest, Tyrannosaur gives just under 9000, Brachiosaur is 15000. If I had to waste 2 hours per character for 30 levels that basically means putting 30-40 hours into leveling to max. So yea, it IS absolutely by far the best place to level up.
I think you can sleep them in X, the only FF where Tomberries are trouble are XIII because it's the only one where they aren't slow as fuck, I remember a fight where you have to beat 3 of them at once. Also while not hard Tomberry Knight in FFXV are the most badass thing ever XD
@@nesoukkefka1741 Anything is easily beatable in FF15... *Looks at the Ring* ... The Warp Strike! I beat the DeathClaw thing (lvl120) for the ultimate daggers by Warp Striking at specific times in the attack, negating any damage.
Your lists are solid man well done... Don't stress too much about people slagging on your narration... Would be much worse if BlueGlass was narrating these things :\
I eat Brachiosaur for breakfast. Just make sure you have Relm in your party and equip her relic Fakemustache so she has Control. Up her speed and magic, and MAKE SURE SHE'S THE FIRST TO ATTACK USING CONTROL. Once you control Brachio, as long as you don't use any physical attacks (except for Blitz and Swdtech), Brachio will always be under Relm's control. Just pound that dino with Ice 3. Breakfast I tell you.
Derron Browning Guarantee easy victory and easy to level up. Too bad Brachio doesn't show up often though. Also, haha my favorite way to level up the useless Cyan is to turn him into an Imp. Then equip imp weapon/armor, which has the best defense in all of the game. Make sure he has the relic Dragoon boot and Dragon horn...he's nearly invincible now as he jumps and evades all attack. In that miniscule moment that the enemy hits him, his armor is too powerful. In fact, only Ultima can kill him one shot, but it's rare. In fact, I use Imp Cyan as solo in the dino forrest...gains more exp solo, and the rest dies (without Relm's control) anyways since they aren't jumping.
TyTimeIsAwesome Why not just use the overpowered spam, Quick and MasterScroll with the Ultima Weapon, another strong sword and Genji Glove? Also a quick way to level and kill Brachiosaur quick. I hate to admit it but compared to other knights in the Final Fantasy series, Cyan does fall short.
Derron Browning You could, but I'm talking about leveling up early in the game before you get all the cool stuff. Plus Ultima can wipe your party in one hit.
Those Behemoths in IV gave me a run for my money when I did basic run through of the game. Now that I am more experienced with them, they kinda get easy once you're level 45 and up
another thing I considered is that when you're in the dino forest, you're using genji glove, growth egg or master scroll normally because you're trying to level up right..which means you aren't using ribbon. You run into him before you are able to kill it quickly...or he goes first and uses disaster. By the time you're strong enough to kill it without trouble, you probably have more need for this forest.
wow i just finished playing final fantasy 9 i feel like i missed out on so much... i never got the odin summon or any other cool stuff is it possible to leave that memoria place at the end? because thats where i last saved
A little surprised not to see Tonberry on the list. Especially the ones from FFVII, in the crater near end game. Everyone's Grudge attack is instant KO and they counterattack like crazy to summons and limit breaks.
The FF8 Marlboro can be countered. You can get 100% of immunity on the bad status types you get from bad breath. By equipping status magic to status immunity.
You forgot to mention Cactuars. They're pretty brutal considering their needles. But they're especially brutal in Crisis Core, where the strongest Cactuar can sometimes retaliate with 100,000 needles before they die, which can and will catch you off-guard, especially when you don't have Raise. Yeah, it just means you fail the mission, but it's a game over in the Japanese version when that happens.
Hey Kefka, sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've never really played X-2. How exactly did they nerf the catnip? What's the difference between normal and nerfed?
Oh you saw it too about the butt shaking. But hey the creators called it. What about those skulleaters from FF5. They are bastards. But yes, red dragon from FFIV, behemoths are always a pain and of course Marlboro is a pain as well. Brachiosaur was a pain, but when you get there you can take him. The hard part is if you can get an economizer from him, which is very hard. But of course the pink puffs in FFIV are a pain as well. Even more so.
this may be a little too late, but my sugestion for dissidia duocecim, use firion... stay in the ground, all of his attacks chain into whatever you want, in ex, hp attacks heal you and lord of arms rarely misses because of the second wave... so, my suggestion is to get heike equipment if you can and get it for firion, start with full ex gauge and well... if you need healing, use hp attacks...
"All they[behemoths] do is sit on their ass, and they counterattack!" That should be some sort of flavor text in a future FF game if you scan one of those fuckers.
lol omg those yan ... and the brachiosaur? I've never had a more 'oh shit no ...' moment in a game than when I randomly ran into those. I'm thankful it's one of the games where you keep your exp if you die.
I love your top tens! Do a top 10 aggravating battles or puzzles or something. I would love to hear another epic war cry like you did when fighting Elza and Ricky during trial mode of FFXI ZJS "... let me just kill the bitch. Now, die...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" LOL that was the best.
warmech from ff1, not technically a normal battle cause the odds of running into him are low, but if you are unlucky enough to encounter him on the final bridge to Tiamat he is absolutely devastating if you aren't prepared.
11:34 Am I the the only one who sees the irony of a dinosaur casting meteor? Lol
lol!!
ahahahahahahahahah I'm high as fuck sorry
Also I'm an overthinker :(
Weston schlei lmao
Weston schlei killed by meteor but cast meteor to kill enemy
logic
What was Rikku thinking provoking a tentacled monster like that? :p
Seth117 i see what you did there :D
Fun times???
I've seen this "anime" before
I really missd those lists. I still come to them from time to time since they were uploaded.
Same. DK made some killer lists 😎

YEah best not to go in the northwest part of the Calm Lands in FFX your first time there...
just want to personally say THANK YOU DK. im sure you put in alot of work for these top 10(as well as your walkthroughs) and i for one really enjoy them. i'll be looking forward to your next top 10
You have the best Final Fantasy videos on the internet
Tonberry isn't in the list whaaaaaaaat.
Yuruloki X Deceptive, yes. But in most of the games they can be dealt with as long as you use a specific strategy. No need for specific equipment setups or anything. In FFVII, I can end them in two attacks with Cloud lol
Yuruloki X tonberries are always easy for me.
Yuruloki X speed is your friend.. burst the damn bitch..
Yuruloki X I died to a tonberry once. after that a Added effect - Odin or Death or whatever it was didn't let me die to them anymore.
Yuruloki X Forget Tonberry... Where is the infamous Warmech from the first final fantasy?
I find your channel to be informative and entertaining. you sir have a new follower.
"Didn't I tell you?

Friendly Yans also use "BAAAAH!" the strongest *physical* move in the game.
...What is it with Square Enix and overpowered sheep?
I feel like any of the enemies in the last area of FF4 are almost cheating, since they're practically boss fights on their own.
Fuck that Deathmask
*****
I think you could Stop some bosses too.
That face thing is the only that gave me trouble, Zemus's Ghost thing were actually pretty usefull for Leveling ^^
Thank goodness you can just teleport.
Yep, that dungeon is kinda surprinsingly hard for a FF game back then. Except for the marathon of the Sylx/Crystal Tower in FF3 of course
I was thinking about Cactuar from FF10 with their 10,000 needles. Not to long ago, I was going after Rikku's celestial weapon and had to do that side quest. Ran into two Cactuar's and they both took out my whole party with that move
Brachiosaur looks like a DINO-MITE opponent.

yeah..I missed 1,2, 3, and tactics. Is this thing tough??
You will see what is in store in the later dungeons of 2 and 3. Luckily, as you might have seen in FF1, aside from Ghasts in Early game, there aren't too many tough bosses.
Tiamats are pretty strong

I know..that's the point, you're using the most broken thing in the game to beat a normal monster. Why, because he's hard.
Player used an overpower spam to defeat a Superboss.
Square Enix: We are going to nerf that.
Me: Fuck you Square!
And this is why I get marlboro tentacles from Card Mod via winning Marlboro cards in Triple Triad ;)
I knew FFVIII Malboros would make the list. God I hate those things, Always spamming Bad Breath, and has like 100,000 HP. If only there was another way to get the Ribbon ability other then from the pocket station.

Paladin Shield, Master Scroll(offering) Life 3, AND Quick. Why should we use the most over powered setuos to beat a normal monster??? This is stuff that should be used on bosses, not normal enemies.
Because Square loves to be trolls on occasions
This is the best birthday gift ever! Thanks a lot Kefka!

Your top 10s are literally the best! Maybe do Top 10 songs/music or Top 10 locations, if that makes sense? :)

Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite final fantasy but if you think one of the brachs is bad. Try fighting two of them. There is a rare encounter where you fight two of them. I don't know if it's in the japanese only version or not It's fun though.
Snake3169 i think i would rather stick my genitals in a hornets nest than fight TWO of those fuckers.
Yes, but they rare-drop/rare-steal ribbons. I farmed ribbons until every character had one xD
As did I. My channel is pretty old but I beat FFVI low level. You can find four as treasure so you only need to steal ten. Forgot to add Gogo to make stealing easier. Only one in my group who figured out Gogo can have any abilities of any character in the Status list.
I would fight Young Xehanort and the KH3 Organization than fight two Brachiosaurs
WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT ME? STEP ABOUT 2 MILES AWAY FROM THE MIC
Bad microphone. He has a much better one now,but he can't think of any list that needs remaking or any new one. He has said that he will make a KH list sometime in the future and he will probably make a list after FF15 is out
Why do i always expect a party member to use Quick when you say "You need to be quick"?
Warmech is so rare you never encounter one anyway
am I the only one who was waiting for toneberry
David Ryan when he said "don't judge a book by it's cover" I assumed Tonberries
I really dont like tonberry ff7
Sometimes they fans be difficult but they usually can’t wipe your party
@@franklee538 tonberry in ff7 is busted
Allen Duncan never had any problem with it.
OgreSamanosuke FFX tonberries can be put to sleep....
Darkkefka why the f*ck did I know this but didn't know that provoke prevents Bad Breath..!?
+OgreSamanosuke Agreed, Tonberry was definitely worth a mention at least.
+FearAddict especially ff8's tomberry....."shudders".
with the "Limit Break Start" and the junction that give you first turn.. FF8 Tonberries are push-overs..
:) "Fuck these little sheep!" -- Too funny!
whitedragon7 I had more trouble with the mandragoras from the earlier levels than the yan...
no cacturs?, friggin 9999 needles :/
+GullwingYunie That does not happen too often though. But yeah, cactuars can be pretty lame at times.
isnt there a version that does 99999? Idk I might be wrong.
lzn60
I don't remember such a cactuar version. At least not in terms of "regular" enemies. There are some "special" ones that deal over 10k damage by delivering multiple salvos, but 99999 in "one" hit is nothing I heard of when talking cactuars.
lzn60 jumbo cactuar
Cactuar King from FFX monster arena had 99,999 needle attack but it wasnt a regular enemy
it would have been in the offical list, but you're not suppose to attack them......until you feed it.
What about Warmech from Final Fantasy one?
he hasn't played ff1
Good list, but I really think you should have included "Warmech" from the original Final Fantasy.
Andrew Carver Plus, the only reason he was hard 4 me was the fact that his attack "nuke" would crash my emulator (For some reason, it's not like my phone is weak), meaning I only had like 4 turns to end the fight and u need quite a bit of time to setup buffs in this game.
Dude warmech was the damn super boss of that game
NoVa Dragoon But technically he is a random encounter, coz that's how you find it.
In final fantasy 6 you can kill practically everything with vanish and death used on that order so fighting the dino will only take like 10secs
vanish and doom or x-zone actually
Yeah that works too
I think taking advantage of glitches should be kinda ignored. Lots of people refuse to, like me heh.
Lol
Jenny DeathWhen not to mention they REMOVED this bug on the GBA version :)
Happy 900 vid DK!
Wait... I absolutely love final fantasy 5.
Anyone know where I can get a video of showing Lulu's full Provoke animation?
where are the tomberys at
Sleeping thanks to my dream powders.
Darkkefka Quina's quite useful for level 5 death if you wanna level grind by beating grand dragons
+Darkkefka but did you never equip poor Edward with the loki's lute in the GBA version? With that, he does 9999 damage on almost anything you encounter! The more you know! 😜
Two words: Master Tonberry in FF10-2
nah..piece of cake.
Great list dude! Two of my suggestions from facebook were added on here Im glad I could help you pick some. The FFX HD is coming soon and Ill finally get to try FFX-2 never played it before, Ill finally get to see just how insane the Via Infinito is 0.0
"Chac that means you bitch." LOL
are the abysteel by supposed to come all at once? Cause they were coming in waves of five (I kinda final eclipsed the first wave) and then later 9 showed up at once. Is it randi. How many show up?
um... Tonberries?
Joshua the Piplup nah.....
a good honorable mention is the Shinra's Bestiary where you get the Garment Grid that can do Finale which if you didn't escape a single battle you could do 99,999 damage but if not then it is based on your attack or something
for an annoying sidequest it makes sense
Joshua the Piplup Tonberries are really easy if u have the max stats
Darkkefka Mega Tonberry from FFX-2 ought to be at least an honorable mention. Without Cat Nip, you're pretty much dead since:
1. He oneshots any character with less than 16,000 HP (which is hard to break); and
@@cameraredeye3115 Oil + Firaga is for normal stuff. Zeromus or Concurrence will one shot the Archeoavis duo.
I did. He can't keep up with Auto-Regen.
really? i had it and still got pwned... by the damage I mentioned... In fact I had all the auto skills i can equip...
***** Hmm, what Level were you?
Karifean
Lv 99 with all skills learned and all the best equipment (except excalibur II).
But that thing kept spamming "BAH!!!!" which hits harder than anything else in the game (except meteor)
Oh. Well, should've taken more time to heal^^ As long as you don't hit him too much in too short time you won't get overwhelmed.
Okay, with the release of FF X-2 HD, I have to say...
I hate 'Tonberry the Ripper' and 'Shady Duo'.
With a passion.
I can't count how many times they killed me.
new normal monsters??
Not that they are easy at high levels either... but some people have leveled up to very high levels in Chapter 1 just to get past these guys since you can get a free copy of the Mascot dressphere just a bit further down the road.
if youu use the amophorus gel and level it u a little it aswell as teach it darkness and vigor, it can easily take them out multiple times (haste is useful too)
From wich game is the music that starts at 12:50 introducing the Yans?
Dude I know this video is old, but I hope that you have practiced more on your delivery. I mean, the list is awesome, and you really put thought into it, but sometimes I can't understand what you're saying and when you yell it makes it even worse. Gonna check your newer videos.
I know....
I working on it. I actually have a new top ten coming out tonight. Let me know how I did.
Atlas Chill Dude
I think Lightning and Tifa are the best dissidia character. Lightning can do HP attacks mid Bravery combos, and if you press X mid combo with Tifa, she will teleport.
I disagree with having any Final Fantasy 6 monsters on this list. It's my favorite game in the series, but there are so many ways to exploit the game that anything can be defeated fairly quickly.
For example, you can use any of the following to win quick:
Vanish+doom or X zone
Genji Glove+Offering+Atma Weapon+Any other powerful sword
Quick+any strong attacks (tools, blitzes, sword techs, magic, etc)
Also, that forest is NOT the best place to level up.
So yea, it IS absolutely by far the best place to level up.
... When I see a Brachiosaur, I have the best plan ever of surviving. RUN.
Way cool! I took your advice and ran!
How can you talk about Final Fantasy and NOT mention the Tonberry? Very disappointing..
@@chaoskiller6084 Never say anything was hard in FFXV (it's like the most brainless game ever made) just said the Tomberry Knight looks cool.
TyTimeIsAwesome need to try that!
Derron Browning
Guarantee easy victory and easy to level up.
Derron Browning
You could, but I'm talking about leveling up early in the game before you get all the cool stuff. Plus Ultima can wipe your party in one hit.
TyTimeIsAwesome That is true!
Those Behemoths in IV gave me a run for my money when I did basic run through of the game. Now that I am more experienced with them, they kinda get easy once you're level 45 and up
#6 was the best way to level up to 99 in FFXII. After setting up your sleep/curaja gambits up right, you can grind those suckers out forever.
another thing I considered is that when you're in the dino forest, you're using genji glove, growth egg or master scroll normally because you're trying to level up right..which means you aren't using ribbon. You run into him before you are able to kill it quickly...or he goes first and uses disaster. By the time you're strong enough to kill it without trouble, you probably have more need for this forest.
I really enjoy your top 10 videos. Do you have any more in the works for future release?
yes, summons and story line main bosses.
Darkkefka That sounds great! I've missed your top 10 videos! What about your top 10 least favorite places in Final Fantasy? i.e. Via Infinito?
wow i just finished playing final fantasy 9 i feel like i missed out on so much... i never got the odin summon or any other cool stuff is it possible to leave that memoria place at the end? because thats where i last saved
A little surprised not to see Tonberry on the list. Especially the ones from FFVII, in the crater near end game. Everyone's Grudge attack is instant KO and they counterattack like crazy to summons and limit breaks.
how did you do it??
You know what kind of top 10 video you should do for Final Fantasy?
Top 10 summon appearances/look
DK, I love your videos! Super entertaining.
The FF8 Marlboro can be countered. You can get 100% of immunity on the bad status types you get from bad breath. By equipping status magic to status immunity.
that's why he's on the list. How often do you need to use a glitch to win a normal fight?
You forgot to mention Cactuars. They're pretty brutal considering their needles. But they're especially brutal in Crisis Core, where the strongest Cactuar can sometimes retaliate with 100,000 needles before they die, which can and will catch you off-guard, especially when you don't have Raise. Yeah, it just means you fail the mission, but it's a game over in the Japanese version when that happens.
What's the music used for battle number 7 and battle number 1?
Darkkefka i bought a ps1 on ebay and ff7 do you have a walkthrough of final fantasy 7
What was the upgraded version of Yan? The giant lizard at the end of Disc 3
Hey Kefka, sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've never really played X-2. How exactly did they nerf the catnip? What's the difference between normal and nerfed?
I shouldn't be forced to use a certain character on normal monsters. The yans are on the list for a reason.
Branchiosaur a very good addition to the list, had totally forgotten about how difficult those fights were. Life 3 does help, but still difficult.
DK if you have played 12 reveant wings, was it a hard game to beat?
i always tell my friend that FF8's Molboro was the biggest pain in the ass
"All they[behemoths] do is sit on their ass, and they counterattack!" That should be some sort of flavor text in a future FF game if you scan one of those fuckers.
Ive played ff9 twice but never seen a yan before. Where.do you go to fight it?
What is the name of the opening theme song you use in your videos? I can't find it
it's called synchro drive from ff13-2
Ty bro, and love your bids btw.
lol omg those yan ... and the brachiosaur? I've never had a more 'oh shit no ...' moment in a game than when I randomly ran into those. I'm thankful it's one of the games where you keep your exp if you die.
Hey could your next top ten be best weapons or hardest to acquire?
btw whats the suit up version of the yan? The FRIENDLY yan?
I love your top tens! Do a top 10 aggravating battles or puzzles or something. I would love to hear another epic war cry like you did when fighting Elza and Ricky during trial mode of FFXI ZJS "... let me just kill the bitch. Now, die...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" LOL that was the best.
Your comment about Archeoavis made me laugh. Well done. XD
warmech from ff1, not technically a normal battle cause the odds of running into him are low, but if you are unlucky enough to encounter him on the final bridge to Tiamat he is absolutely devastating if you aren't prepared.
Hey DK, quick question, do you have an Xbox 360? Because if so I know a game that may be a good game for you to play :-)
What about the mega tonberry from X-2
