  • How did Jude Bellingham leave the other players gobsmacked after his first England training session? Why is Gareth Southgate better placed to win a trophy with England now than he ever has been before? How did Nuno turn his vision of the future for Conor and Wolves into reality?
Gary, Alan and Micah are joined by Conor Coady to discuss life in the England camp at the last two major tournaments and playing club football in Europe

@JordiBoy_ not entirely disagree but Maguire has yet to cock up for England. Henderson doesn't offer as much as others now; I agree that he shouldn't be an automatic pick and Southgate has been too loyal etc in some cases. But memories are so short! He's still been a reliably good England manager.

The podcast definitely benefits from having a guest. You can only tell so many stories about three guys careers. Long term it requires a new voice to give more insight. And having players who perhaps aren’t the all time greats is actually better. Often hearing the best talk about their careers is boring. We all know what they did and they never knew the failure side of it. The insight comes more from those who know failure AND success.

If Southgate does not win the Euros then he and all at the FA that kept him in after the fearful ways he made the team play in the latter stages previously, any manager coaching fear is negative and we have one of the best teams in the comp, what we dont have is the manager. He is the type of Manager who will tell the players here is why we fear them, and that is how you keep losing, Italy had far more reasons to fear us, matching them with 5 at the back was fear based, he has players that know how to defend as a team, including the forwards so let them play.

Players who don't fulfill their potential have been around for decades, in fact half the ex pros used to spend half the week in the pub ! Saka, Grealish, Trent, while all absolute ballers and way above average they are just really good players. Ronaldo, Messi, Maldini, Romario, Best, Inesta, Stevie G, Keane these are generational that could influence a game on their own regularly. Bellingham, Mbappe and Haaland are the only kids on the planet on a trajectory to enter true World Class Elite club
