Gary Neville won’t want that, because Mourinho might talk about things that happened at United with players and Neville is obsessed with not blaming the players like Rashford, Shaw, etc.
Just shows you how important application and attitude is, the best book I've read is by Craig Johnstone, his talent wasn't natural and he overheard Jack Charlton wanting to send him home,it drove him to practice and practice and was eventually signed by Liverpool,a great example of "you can do anything if you want it enough"
I can't remember if i sent an email before lunch and Jamie can recall positional changes from a 20 year old game he didn't even play in. Absolutely incredible.
The fact that Jamie knows Steve Bruce went off and Roy went right back and both united players didn't know that is insane. The fella breathes football. A true encyclopedia
I will always see Roy as the big brother of the class of '92. Not sure if that's fair, but he just gives the vibe that he's proud of them and proud of having played with them.
The one on one interviews for Sir Alex are much better for a man of his age, this is no disrespect as hes still sharp but I think the pacing for him and being able to stop for an edit or 2 would be better for him rather than the off the cuff of 5 other people

Gary really does deserve all his flowers. He epitomizes putting in the work and dedication to be the best version of ones own self. His success in business, punditry, social media and football is no fluke. Keep it up Gary!!
Finally people around Neville tell him not to play down his achievements. We appreciate the humility Gary, but let's not get it twisted...you sir are a legend. Your commitment to United and the game is an incredible template for others to follow.
"You go against him - you go against all of us". Keane's words in regards of the abuse David Beckham received after 98 World Cup. It's astonishing to see he's still like this for his Teammates. He defended with passion Solskjaer, Ronaldo and every former teammate of his that he felt was being attacked. Now hearing he was annoyed by Garry's self deprecation. What a man!
Wrighty signing off so quickly and saying right lets go home, and then gets up and immediately heads to Gary to hug him. What a man. Love the camraderie on the show.
Gary is a true legend! One of my favorite players of all time. His dedication and IQ are what made him a great player for United and England. He doesn’t get the love he deserves because he jokes about his own style of play. He was the best RB in England in his era.
Hope the narrative starts to change back around with Gary Neville. Deserves all the praise for a ridiculously impressive career and I'm glad its now being highlighted. Big up Gary.
This is great. Gary deserved this - time and memory had started to make people forget how good he was and he does need to give himself more credit. Good to see.
For all the stick he gets, Gary Neville is one of the best defenders United and England have ever had, and maybe among the best of all time. Consistent & reliable, gave 100% every single match, no surprise he went on to have the career he had. United probably don’t win as much as they do without him, they sure could use someone like him now. Neat to see him in the guest seat!
Couldn’t agree with you more about one of the best Utd, England, and the premier league has very had. Among the best of all time is reaching. He doesn’t get up amongst the Cafu, Lillian Thuram, and Phillip Lahms of this world in my opinion.
Carragher telling Neville and Keane where they played in a match in 1995...amazing knowledge/memory. I actually worked at Old Trafford for 18 months in 2009/10...Gary was a gentleman on the few occasions I spoke to him. Great episode 👍🏼
Iv not seen the comments but il say it for the majority of viewers. Having Gary as the guest is a brilliant move. One of the best English right backs and one of best to play in England. Under appreciated massively and glad they pulled him up about downplaying himself. Top class getting to see him open up about himself after the amount of hardwork he does and no one gives praise.
I'm a Liverpool supporter, but when Roy held Gary up at the beginning when talking about how good he was it made my eyes water. What a captain he was and Gary was a GREAT right back.
@mh_7 Given he's 82 and suffered an aneurysm not that long ago, if it was Fergie, I'd say it's understandable if he felt he didn't have it in him. I would love him to go on this though.
GNev was so consistent and 100% knew his position inside and out. Never tried to do anything fancy. Just always disciplined performance. Very professional also very very consistent which is the key I always felt for England safe. When he was at right back I knew he would put a shift in and not make many mistakes. That's it
This interview with Gary has been so insightful and has caused me to re-evaluate him as a man of substance. I now have a huge amount of respect for his intelligence, honesty, and his all-around professionalism.
Gary was my idol and role model as a fellow RB back during my playing days. I would just watch him during games on TV to see what he does and incorporate them into my own game. Hands down the best RB in the world for me at the height of his career, and definitely a top bloke until now. Deserves all the credit he gets and more. Even until today, his work ethics and discipline should be admired. If only the current United players have even half the amount of dedication, discipline, and work ethics that GNev and his teammates had, United would be doing so much better as a whole.
As a United fan I always liked Gary, however my favourite thing about him is the side of him we've seen since he's finished. Really driven and honest about it, open to telling you how difficult it's been at parts and how focused he's had to be. He is a very impressive person and a lot of people would do well using Gary as a role model.
I love Gary’s honesty. He has the ability to be genuinely unbiased and prepared to highlight his own shortcomings and play himself down. Love what he had to say about his brother/family. Like him or not, agree with him or not…either way he comes across as a genuinely good guy
When you hear Gary talk about the legends like Nobby Styles and the ethos within united, made the class of 92 and imprinted into the club, It’s so important to get Roy Keane back at that club in some capacity it transcends the years.
Most modest and underrated player ever. Carried Becks through 2 International tournaments when Becks had niggles. There's a reason England has so many quality right backs now. That reason is Gary Neville
When Gary speaks about the world class players he’s played with and against for so many years, just proves that he was at their level. He was a rock at RB.
Enjoyed that, respect to Gary, since he retired from playing, he always took stick really well, self deprecating and that humble attitude is why nobody is disrespecting his career seriously. We all have a bit of imposter syndrome, it’s human nature. Well done Gary, this is the only football podcast/show I watch.
That was brilliant. I'm glad Gary did this. It's a great idea by Keane. When Kesne said in all seriousness, "You deserve better." Heartwarming. He's right. When he rags on Gary, it's banter, not malicious.
It’s laced with truth and that’s why it’s funny. Everyone has Literally lost their heads over Neville’s career. He was the worst player in the team… for 10 years!!
@@craigoliver8712 come on mate. He was club captain. Had a good season 06/07, then Wes brown took his place and barely played again. Stop pretending he was a good captain.
Great episode having Gary as the Guest. One of the most humble player tbf. Maybe it is his upbringing of being so down to earth. He deserve all the credits as much as all his teammates got. People still think Sir Alex will pick someone mid for what 15 years for his team's success all those years. Think again guys. Gary is brilliant.
Say all you want about Gary especially is stint at Valencia but that man's got determination and discipline in abundance, and it proves that hard work pays off ,when Ian was introducing him and saying how much trophies he's won, and the fact he didn't stop after finishing his footballing career he carried on with his life in a determined way to succeed even after his footballing career. Nothing but respect Gary, BIG UP YOURSELF MY G!!!!!
This was great. Glad to see his peers giving Gary Neville the respect he deserves. He really is one of the great right backs of the Premier League and one of the greatest English right backs of all time.
In Garys comment that he had all those great players around him, I wonder if he realises that his great skill is being great at what he does and working hard top allow those around him to shine. He does the same in his current work. He is a proper king. He allows others to flourish and so flourishes himself. Its a beautiful character trait. Top man.
Whoever no showed, thank you! This was great and allowed Neville to explain his punching down of his career and shamed Keane into giving him the praise he deserves. Great insight. Look forward to the other Grilled sessions
This is literally the greatest football show out there. This was a great concept and should definitely be done for the rest of the gang! Also, Carra’s football knowledge is INSANE.
Don't think you guys understand how great this is. The best football related content out there. Just brilliant and heartwarming. The chemistry between the 5 of you is unreal.
Another fantastic episode. When you listen to Gary speak about his thought processes and his dedication to everything he does, you can absolutely understand why he had the career he had.
It was a great move for Ian to take lead in hosting this Episode. It's true when they say Gary plays down his career. He needed that "no nonsense positivity". Even for all the jokes Roy makes, bottom line is he has a lot of respect for Gary's work ethic.
One thing, Gary was better than he says, always consistently good performance at the highest level - in one of the best teams of that era. He always gave 100% effort. Rarely had a bad game, and managers love that.
Great episode, it’s nice to see Neville getting some praise. Annoying when he puts himself down all the time it's like he's trying to please all the rivals that hate United. He's easily one of the best right backs we've seen in the league that's why he kept his place in the team so long, Sir Alex was ruthless but he always stuck with Neville
When it comes to Roy, I believe that Gary had the perfect characteristics as a teammate. Incredible work ethic, great character, good knowledge of the game and elite mentality.
Very refreshing to see a former player, of that statue, having won pretty much everything on Club level, and NOT be self-promoting, humble, sarcastic about himself and really down to earth person. A+ person
On the field and he never stopped , gave his all , after retiring very successful bloke always working pushes himself . Fair play to gary he deserves praise and earns respect in how he is and what he did and does .
Favourite episode guys, well done. Gary's a great communicator - he's not afraid to be vulnerable, honest and to show himself. There's still a lot of macho energy around football and I think that stops some ex and current players from properly talking about their experiences playing, but Nev just lays it all out there. Very admirable, a great watch
Really enjoyed this surprise interview with Gary. I have massive respect for Gary and appreciate his honesty, work ethic and genuine humble attitude. What a wonderfully entertaining, inspirational and funny show… kudos to everyone involved.
Love it! I was getting all misty eyed when Keano was giving Gary his due props about being a great player when normally he's playfully taking the p**s out of him. Great stuff guys, the best footy show Ive ever watched and I just turned 57 myself so Ive seen a few!
Really hope the guys can make this happen… would break the internet seeing Roy and Sir Alex putting aside their differences. Everyone would love to see these two legends being great friends again!
Gary says he had rio and vidic with Scholes and Keane in front of him. But they will say I didn't have to worry about play down the left cause Gary was at right back. Underrated I think.
Gary Neville was a solid right back, no mucking about he knew his role inside out that is what makes him a legend for Utd. Not many players reach that level of professionalism and consistency for so long.
Gary Neville deserves all praise he gets. I wish United use these legends to teach some lesson to the current players about work ethic, commitment and loyalty.. absolute legends

It's the quality of the friendships that make it. They clearly all really like each other. It's like hanging out with your mates. Just brilliant.
I hate the PL football elite but love this.
Don't think you guys understand how great this is. The best football related content out there. Just brilliant and heartwarming. The chemistry between the 5 of you is unreal.
Shoutout to Carragher's ball knowledge! The man is shouting out England's friendly results from 20 odd years ago lol his knowledge is top notch tbf
Agreed, although he said Liam Brady and John Charles were English last week
Really warming to see Carragher also show his kudos to Neville, class acts
Wrighty is just the best bloke. The man can’t have a single enemy or hater.
Schmiechel..
Probably the kkk
Though if anyone can win them over its Wrighty
Agreed, he is by the most likeable on this.

Another fantastic episode. When you listen to Gary speak about his thought processes and his dedication to everything he does, you can absolutely understand why he had the career he had.
Roy and Gill’s friendship is a thing of beauty.
I love what Gary has done for our city. That focus and determination is very impressive 👊🏻
"Toy Story a level above Shrek." Carragher throws shots at Rooney even before he joins the panel.
Gary is a great role model of hard work and humbleness... great to watch him and everyone else in the show...
PHIL NEEDS TO BE ON!
Love the way Wrighty addresses Neville, such a gentleman is Ian
Ian is the friend everyone needs in their life
as a gooner massive respect for gary. Wrighty reading out the accomplishments at the beginning reminds evryone what a great player Gary was
The others all need their own episode to properly talk about their careers, this episode was something special
Hot seat episodes yes 👍👍
Great episode, it’s nice to see Neville getting some praise. Annoying when he puts himself down all the time it's like he's trying to please all the rivals that hate United. He's easily one of the best right backs we've seen in the league that's why he kept his place in the team so long, Sir Alex was ruthless but he always stuck with Neville
Wrighty getting teared up about Toy Story is everything 😂
Bit gay
@MrHungryeyez can you not take a joke jeeze
@@JD_London have a bit of respect mate. Hes haaaarrrrdd.
When it comes to Roy, I believe that Gary had the perfect characteristics as a teammate. Incredible work ethic, great character, good knowledge of the game and elite mentality.
Let down by a guest, Gary steps in at short notice and they still do a great show. Love these folks.
I love Ian Wright. Such a wonderful human being and personality. Must be protected at all cost. YNWA
Finally an episode when Gary can continually speak and not feel guilty! (In all seriousness though love this series, keep it up everyone!)
Could genuinely listen to these lads all day top set of lads and down to earth my generation could never
I love how much Roy loves Ian 🤣 he can’t even hide it anymore!
Very refreshing to see a former player, of that statue, having won pretty much everything on Club level, and NOT be self-promoting, humble, sarcastic about himself and really down to earth person. A+ person
Jamie’s memory and ability to pull little nuggets of info from 20 years ago is honestly so impressive
called research
@deathbystereo- its called being a true knowledgeable football fanatic
@@deathbystereo-Nah, he always said he was crazy into football even back during his player days
I'm like that when I can pick out specific details out of moments in my past. Ask me what my dinner was yesterday and I won't remember.
@mh_7 how many times have you commented that?
On the field and he never stopped , gave his all , after retiring very successful bloke always working pushes himself . Fair play to gary he deserves praise and earns respect in how he is and what he did and does .
Jamie saying Toy Story is a level above shrek… using his football terms in all aspects of his life
Nah shrek is city toy story is Liverpool
@@michaelcarter983 Weirdo
Favourite episode guys, well done. Gary's a great communicator - he's not afraid to be vulnerable, honest and to show himself. There's still a lot of macho energy around football and I think that stops some ex and current players from properly talking about their experiences playing, but Nev just lays it all out there. Very admirable, a great watch
Really enjoyed this surprise interview with Gary. I have massive respect for Gary and appreciate his honesty, work ethic and genuine humble attitude. What a wonderfully entertaining, inspirational and funny show… kudos to everyone involved.
For his career and business ventures, he’s very humble whenever he has to talk about himself. Fair play.
Love it! I was getting all misty eyed when Keano was giving Gary his due props about being a great player when normally he's playfully taking the p**s out of him. Great stuff guys, the best footy show Ive ever watched and I just turned 57 myself so Ive seen a few!
Thanks for the support! 🤝
@@TheOverlap Roy needs more Hoodies in his life... still wearing mine haha
Really hope the guys can make this happen… would break the internet seeing Roy and Sir Alex putting aside their differences. Everyone would love to see these two legends being great friends again!
I think he can be bloody proud of what he’s done or become ! Top top bloke !
44:20 Gary on Keane, "He used to say to us, 'no is a sentence."'
That's a completely unapologetic mindset. Philosophical as well. Love it!
Gary Neville deserves all praise he gets. I wish United use these legends to teach some lesson to the current players about work ethic, commitment and loyalty.. absolute legends
That list of accolades of garys is incredible, he should be a legend in most people eyes.
