Absolutely superb 1 hour and 20 mins. Not too much interrupting, just allowing Les to speak at his own pace, a few laughs and some insightful discussion. Great show everyone 👍
Ask Les if he’s done anything to shine light on the fact the largest under represented group in the UK is working class white native majority and has been for 1000 years
This is one of, if not, the best episode so far. Sir Les is everything you hope he'd be - insightful, intelligent, fair - what a gentleman, what an interview.
ian wright barely said anything in this episode, listening and hanging on every one of Les' stories.. shows how much respect he has for Les being a director of football... this is why its important.
He was only with us at Newcastle for a couple of years and he's a legend up here.. 50 goals in 84 games.. was my favourite toon player growing up in the mid 90s, powerhouse in the air,, what an era for football

I never knew much about Les Ferdinand unfortunately but after watching this, what an amazing person. Comes across so well and tons of experience. Could listen to his stories all day. Excellent episode
Do you think it's possible that since he's missed another week that he might actually have some other commitment and it's not really about the manc utd thing?
One of the most insightful interviews I’ve watched offering some light on the realities of running a football club and dealing with the many and diverse challenges that entails. Superb and big thanks to Les.
What a gentleman Les is. forgot what a genuine character he is. Great show all. That insight about how difficult it is to discipline players today shows how whats wrong with a lot not all of modern footballers. Too much power
Such a great human is Sir Les. He was only at NUFC two years but he's still a legend and everyone loves him. He gave everything on the pitch and remains a real gentleman
Roy: I can’t remember what I put on my instagram last week - my memory is shocking. Gary: Do you remember our defensive corner routine from one game in 1995?
Les Ferdinand comes across as articulate and sensible especially when talking about his role as a DoF for QPR. Some great insight and another great episode
Ask Les if he’s done anything to shine light on the fact the largest under represented group in the UK is working class white native majority and has been for 1000 years
Brilliant show, brilliant guest. I can't believe Les isn't currently working in football, he's smart, intelligent, he's insightful, knows the game on the pitch, in the boardroom & has bags of charisma. And only the MLS have been in contact with him? It's unbelievable that he's not working.
Really insightful what Les shared about his experience at QPR. From not knowing what was going on, I was glad to hear from him and understand the circumstances he was under, which sounded, tough. He grew up 2 doors down from my cousin in Ladbroke Grove. Really nice person.
Was gunna go to sleep... but I guess it can wait an hour and 30 minutes. Just finished the episode and very glad I stayed up to watch it. Les Ferdinand is just pure class. He is so well spoken and thoughtful. Really enjoyed this episode.
As many have said, this is possibly my favourite episode so far! Absolute class, honesty, humour, respect, and just general good vibes mixed with insight. Such a joy to watch that was!
Fascinating insight. One of the best sit down interviews in a long time. Always liked Les and he's right he always gave his everything wherever he was. Fantastic again
One of the best Overlaps ever made, nothing but pure insight throughout. Sent me off on a rabbit hole to find out about his time at Besiktas. And it was no wonder it was nearly an hour before Gary got a question in - it could’ve been a 3hr show.
I’ve watched this three times now and Les is fantastic. So articulate, intelligent and personable. Great bloke and top top interview. They all ask him the right questions, gotta give it Gary he knows his onions. Best podcast by a country mile.
What an absolute legend Les Ferdiband is. He comes across as such an intelligent, insightful guy. I could listen to him all day long. Fascinating stuff.
I played against Cole at schoolboy level for Forest and Notts schoolboys . His finishing was unreal at 15 ,16 … could finish with both feet with ease and remember our manager coming in and saying young lad up front had just signed for Arsenal !!😮😮😮
Les is so straight forward and honest, its really great to see. The results he achieved in keeping QPR in business not just in the championship is remarkable.
Best interview with a guest so far. Was fantastic listening to Les about the insight of running a football club. Could have listened for another hour easily.
I have to say that was the most captivating interview you guys have put up there. You had my undivided attention for over an hour. Les; what a man; a real gent.
Great show and a brilliant insight, being a sporting director, it opened up my eyes. Les is a true gent and one of the best guests thats been on the show 🙂
Incredible insight into his recruiting process at QPR and not looking at the names and just the CV's and if it meets the job spec to eradicate any form of prejudice. I think a lot of businesses could take a leaf out of his book. Absolute top bloke Les, thanks for another belting episode boys x
Brilliant interview and what a gent of a person. What a player Les was but I have a new found respect for him, he was excellent on the show and funny 👍
Very good episode. I just love listening to former footballers talk proper football. I can't imagine how it's going to be in 20 years time though. Media training has taken the soul out of modern footballers and the way they talk.
