regarding that question about countries' footballing strength, corruption is also a big part of it, whether that's at the federation level or the grassroots level. people siphoning money away from the places where the money should be spent and putting it in their own pockets prevents the infrastructure from developing properly, and corruption is unfortunately quite deep-rooted in indian society (as it is in many other developing countries)

My experience with Indian parents and children is similar to Micah's. Most of all they want their children to be succesful, and the idea of a career in football is seen as too much of a long shot to even pursue
To be successful in football you need to have supportive parents and be tactically knowledgeable.
I don't see many Indians watching bundesliga serie A la liga etc etc which the best players did growing up

Mal Benning was the only Indian player I've met, sat next to his family at the league 2 playoff final (which he scored in, and we won, Port Vale) and they all went mental and I got a kiss off one of his cousins they were that excited lol.

Spurs have just signed a link up with development team/squad in India - no idea of first team to do it but I’d imagine that’s what will help growth their is clubs and shoe companies investing money in training and bringing over the best players to train in Europe

The story Gary told about his mom saying she doesn't want his money, that's golden. I can relate.
What's more concerning is that Gary Lineker was given extra money by his employer to hand to his mother for feeding him but he was happy eating the food and pocketing the extra money for himself.
Anyone with half a moral compass would have refused the food unless their mother accepted the money....
Micah's story about the books is very relatable! I remember going to the Isle of White for a football tournament aged 16, and coming back to find out my Mum had 'sorted out' my book shelf above the bed. Why she felt any need to rearrange or tidy it I'll never know, but I still think about whether she saw a certain magazine tucked into my 'Greek Mythology' book. What made it worse was the material was very hardcore milf stuff.

He's clearly lost them on the thing with Sancho, which is 100% his fault and shows how he's very limited as a manager. The problem with United fans is that after 20+ years of despotic rule by a tyrannical bastard they don't understand that a harsh uncaring disciplinarian style of management is totally unviable in the modern game.

India has a similar competition in cricket i.e. (Indian premier league) which offers a great platform to build sports as a career...Other sports have suffered investment deficit.

As a Sheff Utd fan Hecky did a good job overall and yes the poundland prince has cleared the clubs debts and setup to got straight back down with only spending £35mish this season but its the performances that is Unacceptable !! I genuinely don’t rate ten hag and I honestly don’t think he’s the one to take United to the next level if I’m honest, that being said, it seems it’s either the glazers or the manager that gets the blame before any player gets the blame. How many of them players were there forcing ole, rangnick, mourinho, van gaal etc. managers have come on gone but the spine of it is really the players who have stayed over years at a Top level club and simply are not good enough but believe they are

With all the rumours about Manchester United players downing tools and having a toxic dressing room over a number of years wouldnt bringing back the old school YTS and apprenticeship days on £80 a week ground todays young players and hopefully stamp out the bad behaviour and teach them a little bit of respect?
