Just finished doing this along with replacing the catalytic converter in order to pass CA smog. This method is way easier than removing the whole valve cover and saved me a lot of time. I’m definitely not a mechanic and I was able to do it. Just take your time and make sure you don’t drop any bolts. Especially the one that holds the sensor in place because it will go straight down into the oil pan. I took a rag and blocked the gap under the sensor bolt off just in case the bolt slips because it’s going to be a tight squeeze to get your hands in there especially if you have an EX model with ABS.

Did you also loosen the 5 valve cover bolts? Or just the 4 coil packs nuts as shown on video?
Yes, the valve cover (5)bolts need to be loosened to rise up the valve cover just a little to get the cam shaft cover off.
