I have a 2002 honda Civic with 123,000 miles on it. Replaced the timing belt and crank sensor 2 months ago. Car was running great till this morning, now no start .. cranks and cranks. The tach is not registering at all, when I crank the engine, I rechecked the belt and it is fine. I understand the tach should should show 250 rpms on cranking , but it doesnt. Leads me to believe the cam sensor is no good. I replaced the cam sensor with a autozone duralast, still cranks and no start..... Has anyone else experienced bad sensors from autozone??? Someone said only go OEM like Denso...... Should I get an OBD code reader to verify the problem? I am only guessing right now.... HELP!!!
Yes its posible you got a bad part from part store. Yes try to get a code reader to pull the codes from the ecm and to be sure of what kind of problem you dealing with!
My brother in law and his merchanic friend is at a lost ! My mom drove the car to work in the morning with no problem but the car won't start at 7 pm and she was stranded for a while .. poor mom . The car crank but won't start. We drove to her job. We put new fuel pump, new ignition coils new spark plugs, cleaned the ground wires . The car just crank but won't start !! Please shed some light and help a poor brother out !!
@@gabomsga3543 no the key symbol is not blinking when I tried to start the car- it crank but won't start. The dome light , the radio clock, the blinker lights works . I recorded a vid on my phone , let see if i can post it on youtube.
@@MikeJones-in3uk to make sure the fuel pump is working you would need brake cleaner and spray some in the throttle body. You would have to remove the hose spray and reattach the hose, than crank the car and see how long does stay on. Just do 2 ro 3 medium spray if you over do it you would get a back fire do not over spray!

It couldbe the crank sensor also camshaft sensor or the fuel pump.
Haynes manual says take off undertray and undo 2 10mm nuts and that's it????

JLuis Isaula not cranking! Check code then did the test on crank sensor and come back negative! Replace sensor car start right up!

Now make sure your antidefth light its not blinking or staying on!
Camshaft sensor
A crank sensor wouldn't stop your vehicle from starting a camshaft sensor however would make your car just not turn over

Look at the speedometer when you trying to start the car make sure the key symbol its not blinking!
