Krillin was too thirsty. He wanted that robo V. The whole dialog about she was just a victim of Dr. Gero was kind of weak. Goku and Vegeta are going to Saiyan that's not out of character. But the willingness to just use the dragonballs to bring everyone back at the end of an arc could just be used to bring his cybergirl back, too. How it should have went down. Krillin blows her up. Cell is stuck in second form. Eventually Cell gets killed by someone. They hunt down the dragonballs and wish everyone back again.
Trunks may well be the biggest dumbass in the Cell Saga. He's seen how horrible his future is due to the cyborgs; he may not know a great deal about Cell, but he knows enough; he's in the best position to beat Semi-Perfect Cell - why did he hold back!? He's willing to kill Vegeta to save the future, but not willing to bruise his ego? Even if Grade 3 was too slow to hit this form of Cell, Trunks could have smacked him around, worn him down, and THEN used Grade 3 to clap his biomechanical cheeks.
Bulma was thinking with her emotions, when your emotion get pulled into situations, a lot of times logic can get thrown through the window, and this was around the time when yamcha was cheating on her, which made her more emotional, which further pushed logic out of the window.
1:27 Goku grabbed Hercule and dende because they needed dende for the dragon balls and he can heal them if you want to argue about saving people vegeta could have easily picked up someone as well but didn’t
