I’ve seen people cover and breakdown the sagas and arcs of DBZ so many times, but I’ve never seen someone break down the manga version and show images. Walking you step by step through the story! Most people cover the show and the show only, which I love, but this is the way toriyama told the story. Thank you Justin! Can’t wait to see the full story completed

This will forever be my favorite saga of all time. When I was a kid I watched the episode where gohan turns ssj2 and that was my first experience with dbz. From there i decided to read everything from the beginning. I read and watched all of db up until now. It will forver be my favorite series of all time and these videos are absolutely phenomenal 🙏

Wow! The manga is really different from the anime. In the anime, Gohan had to die for Trunks to break his ceiling into SuperSaiyan, but here he is in the manga, training with Gohan as a Super Saiyan

As a kid I related to gohan and it was amazing to see him finally have his moment beating cell. After being forced into so many life and death battles his whole life fighting against planet-destroying aliens, gohan absolutely deserved the win. It makes sense that goku would eventually pass the torch to gohan but I hate that gohan didn’t stay the hero.
Having a horrible day at work but I got you in my ear and it’s made it better. The Cell Saga was my favorite as Cell is my favorite DBZ villain. Thank you for making my work day go by a bit quicker and better.

Namek saga was the best. Of course Cell saga was almost as good as Namek, but Buu saga was also amazing. GT and Super were much much worse, but still I’m happy there was a continuation even though these two were much worse :)

This still stands as one of my favorite arcs in all of anime and Z instantly hooked me as a anime and manga fan. The awesome battles and astonishing looking panels makes everything stand out so beautifully,now they do cheap cash grabs and stories that seem like cheap remakes especially callbacks to previous iconic moments. Like the Warp Kamehameha here during Goku’s battle with Cell later in Super being used during his fight with Moro,which didn’t have that much intensity like it did in the Bio Androids battle with earth’s greatest defender.

Easily my favorite Saga, too. It puts a bow on so many countless moments in DB history, pays off so many interactions, and brings so many character arcs full circle that they literally had to make characters regress in the next arc, and esp in Super, just to allow them to re-attain the closure they'd already achieved by the time this arc ended. I truly believe that, with the benefit of hindsight, the original DB canon should be considered finished here, with Buu, Battle of Gods thru Ressurection F treated as its own bridge between the first canon and the new canon, essentially splitting the story's 2nd and 3rd chapters at Buu, not _after_ him.
This is great. Its a perfect summary. I dont get much time to read the manga or watch the show these days, so being able to work on my own graphic novels with this playing away in the background is a great way to relive the story.

I watched the TV version back in 2001, they way you have composed the manga version is very impressive, surprised you haven't become accented Saiyan by now 😅, unfortunately this was the last saga I watched before my father stopped paying for cable, your video has ignited a renewed interest 22 years later. Throughout this saga, everyone has some kind of helpful role to play. Yamcha is with Goku, Krillin has 18 and the detonator and kills cell in the lab, Piccolo fuses with Kami and has his fight with 17. Tien and Choutzou really don't do anything besides the imperfect cell scene. It would have been cool to have them spend the days leading up to the tournament meditating and collecting energy for Goku to use for a spirit bomb to use against Cell. The visual of their added energy reserves increasing the size of the spirit bomb would be sweet and show a visual level of how much the side characters were able to help in unconventional ways.
Love your videos, they are the best recaps of anime arcs anyone will find, especially since you use the manga as the primary content, whihc just reminded me of something I completely forgot LOL I remember the History of Trunks special very vividly, and remember that what sparked Trunks' SS transformation was Gohan dying. It's one of the saddest scenes in all of DBZ. I completely forgot that that isnt how it happened in the manga LOL Trunks already transformed in the manga right before thay fight that killed Gohan, thats why he wanted to go so badly to help 😳 I completely forgot this cuz i havent read the DBZ manga in a very long time, and I didn't go through all of it cover to cover.
