To me I always just thought that like Cell, Vegeta, Gohan, and Goku, the reason why they keep delaying the battles instead of ending them if they have the power to do so is due to their inherent genes as saiyans. Warriors who are usually prideful in showing off their strength to their opponents for the sake of their love for fighting. It happened when Cell convinced SSJG2 Vegeta to allow him to absorb 18 to provide a new challenge and test his strength. It happened when SSJ2 Teen Gohan took his time making Cell suffer instead of ending it quickly. It happened when Goku gave Cell a senzu bean under the mistaken belief that his son enjoys fighting just like him. It happened with Cell when he hosted the tournament instead of killing everyone right now before giving them 10-days to train (because of those same Saiyan genes he’s inherited when he was created). It happened with Cell when he allowed Vegeta to charge up his Final Flash. It happened when they didn’t kill Dr. Gero before he built the androids. It’s not unique for saiyans to be prideful to the point where they delay fights instead of ending them if they can, but it sure is common if not also a cultural thing in their race. Future Trunks is the exception to this rule because he’s seen what happens when you don’t have the power to stop horrific forces from happening if they are stronger than you. In the saiyan saga everyone mattered, Piccolo having to kill Goku and even Gohan played his part. At that point Krillin and Yajirobi were still of use to some degree. There were 0 shock moments in the cell saga, like a battle was either completely one sided or a complete slaughter, compare that to the z warriors facing off against Frieza's different forms. Gohan, Piccolo and even Krillin had some moments during that time. Hell even Vegeta had a bit of a shot at Frieza's base form. Even in the saiyan saga when everyone is getting beat up Krillin would have cut Nappa in half if Vegeta didn't warn him about the move. The cell saga is basically plot twist after plot twist to the point where nothing is a twist, it's like Toriyama got bored of his own story. We got some cool stuff like the androids and Gohan but the saga as a whole was boring, especially after Trunks made that epic entrance and beats Frieza and his dad. From there you have a new most powerful warrior like every other episode and none of it ends up mattering. EDIT: Forgot to add Vegeta also faced Zarbon, that's a classic 2 battle showdown, and the ginyu force, especially captain Ginyu, he had a unique power, there were all these cool mini villains in between. The cell saga doesn't come close and the buu saga even less so. If any fans of the series haven't watched the OG 1986 dragonball go watch that and then you'll see why the saiyan and namek saga is where the series peaks completely and then plateaus by the cell saga. It's a wild ride and will give you some perspective on why the cell and buu saga are so boring overall despite introducing some cool new characters and transformations.
The only thing I hate when people talk about the cell saga is that Vegeta was out of character because it’s not true. He has been letting opponents power up to his fullest since the sayain saga when he let Goku use kaioken or when he let Zarbon and Frieza transform. If anything, he became more arrogant when he became super sayain. Besides that, the plot twist is probably the main reason why the Cell saga is my favorite arc in dbz.
@@amari648huh? Vegeta didn’t lift a finger until his fight with Goku….. he did kill one of the Saibamen so technically he helped the Z-Fighters there lol
@@RuanAntunes7 yeah and then smacked tf outta krillin, beat up gohan while throwing him next to an almost dead Goku and punched yajirobe once in the nose and he was out cold. And that was after the fact he tanked an entire spirit bomb.
Future Vegeta also just abandoned his kid as it is heavily implied that Trunks ended up being born because Bulma decided to do the thing for fun with a serial killer.
If goku would’ve told gohan that he was gonna fight cell, it would’ve caused gohan to doubt himself and the training wouldn’t have been as successful. Gohan isn’t a confident fighter who believed he was on his fathers level.
I agree with the time chamber take. Any one who does combat sports says that they take time to rest up enough before a big fight. They drive themselves into the ground and then after the way in need to rehydrate, rest and get nutrients back in the body. Also with weight lifting if you do not rest between workouts muscle will not grow efficiently. Some will grow, b ut you will ruin the gains you could have maximized on.
Frieza made a mistake of toying with his food until it got out of control and he had to resort to blowing the planet up, Vegeta and Goku always wanting a better fight and letting his opponent power up, Cell was made from all their cells, he didn’t NEED to host a tournament yet he did, he could’ve one shotted Gohan but pushed him to SSJ2, he didnt need to do a beam clash against Gohan but he wanted to break Gohans spirit completely (what Goku does to Frieza after beating him at 100%). The cell saga has a lot of flaws and it’s like our heroes are idiots until you realise the main character is made from the DNA of these idiots and also messes up.
my favoirite is the android saga. I love how something as bad as the introduction of hyperbolic time chamber, is stil the best training arc in the whole franchise in my opinion. development and evolution was so fucking good between the characters
I personally have it in my top 3, as the third, Behind Freeza saga and Sayian saga, but I certainly don't believe it's completely wrong for Cell saga to sit outside the top 3, another reasonable contender for the 3rd spot is the demon king Piccolo arc, the 23rd tenkaichi budokai is also a reasonable option. Additionally, there's also the possibility of someone in general preferring the light hearted, whimsical and comedic nature of the less-serious, early classic dragon ball arcs. Having emperor pilaf arc, red ribbon arc, or the 22nd and 23rd tenkaichi arc all in the top 3 just means they have a different taste. Although while potentially egregious, Buu saga could also be held as a valid option. Personally, I think with the Buu saga, it did the most things right, but simultaneously the most things wrong which negated it's positives... making the introductory slice of life, great sayiaman arc my favourite arc in the Buu saga. Overall making Buu outside top 3 for me. But that's just my opinion.
So I get being frustrated with the characters' bad decisions, cuz they definitely ARE bad. But hear me out: how does this saga end? Goku choosing to stay dead, because of all the things from his past putting lives in harm's way. One of the biggest themes of this arc is one's mistakes, or even just your past in a broad sense, coming back to bite you. Goku's realization of this is what the arc is building toward. And god damn, does (almost) every single one of these mistakes come back to bite the person that made them. Keep it goin Sage, I love these videos man
Everyone that says Dragon Ball is nothing but a brain dead slugfest have no idea what they’re talking about. Quality content like this makes me appreciate the series even more
13:45 didn't Goku basically explain that going in a second time wouldn't do anything for them, basically pointing out the time chamber loses it's effectiveness the more you use it. I mean feel like it makes sense as even the difference in leaps in power Vegeta and Trunks make in comparison. To the second time Vegeta went in it didn't do much, the leap in power wasn't as great. Which is what I think Goku was referring too.
"didn't Goku basically explain that going in a second time wouldn't do anything for them, basically pointing out the time chamber loses it's effectiveness the more you use it." Vaguely Goku basically says them Torturing there bodies won't help them Grow but this is a pretty weak argument from Goku as Saiyan's Specifically grow from doing exactly that. "I mean feel like it makes sense as even the difference in leaps in power Vegeta and Trunks make in comparison. To the second time Vegeta went in it didn't do much, the leap in power wasn't as great. Which is what I think Goku was referring too." Well it wasn't small either when Pre Second Trip Vegeta was floored at Goku's 50% power when he exits his second trip he is confident he can beat that Goku.
@@SRVaris See for the first one though, I was saw as Goku not necessarily pointing out that physically it’s useless. More so in the sense that if you don’t have the right idea of how to ascend, then it’s pointless torture. Take Vegeta’s second trip in for an example, despite being smart enough to understand Goku and Gohan’s training. Using super saiyan as their base form, so they can reduce stamina drain and power up even further. Even though he’s basically explaining to trunks how ingenious it is, when he goes back in he doesn’t follow that already proven strategy for power. Be it Vegeta’s pride that probably explains that, Goku’s point still stands. Vegeta went in tortured his body for results, all while forgoing the strategy he recognized as effective. Second one I agree with you, but kinda don’t want to because then it kind of ruins the special of strategic training. If Goku and Gohan went and basically came out with a form that faaaar surpassed what Vegeta and Trunks got, by Goku being Goku and figuring out the best way to ascend. The super saiyan training, and Vegeta closes that gap by doing nothing different. Then what was the point of that, I feel like it loses its impact. If Vegeta just says yeah fuck that and goes in same style of training. And surpasses that Goku, especially since the narrative didn’t point out anything special about his training. What was the point of giving us so much awwwwe pertaining to the method, both Goku and Gohan used to ascend.
In the kinda defense for krillin there was NO WAY he didn’t sense vegeta and trunks which probably could’ve also encouraged him to not do it. And considering he had seen the androids pull a goku by sparing them despite everyone else wanting them dead and them disregarding killing goku once cell showed up I can somewhat understand him not wanting to just kill her or thinking that the dragon balls couldn’t wish back an android but at the end of the day he still sold by breaking the remote instead of saving it or maybe even trying to use it on cell since he had 17 inside him 🤷
Honestly just realized 18 could've just picked 16 up like it was nothing and noped out of there. They can't be detected anyway so them flying won't be an issue
Answer: yes. Of course it is. It’s my personal favorite arc in the series. Even though multiple characters make mistakes, there are great character moments for literally everyone and great battles all over the place in this part of the story, and Cell is a great force to show said fuck ups and growth
I think it could be fixed simply by the warriors actually locating & destroying gero's lab earlier but what they didn't know is that his remaining creations 16, 17 & 18 weren't in the lab because he made himself multiple hideouts & the dragon only located his recent location only.
I mean the problem is trunks thought 17 and 18 were created, but in reality they were modified humans much like Gero himself, so going to the lab early wouldnt help since they were deactivated, they would have just lost to a pre turned off 17 and 18
9:05 The line he references has more to do with the dumb decisions these characters make but when he brought up TFS at this point in the story, the line I thought of was the response whenever someone (usually 16) tells the twins they're making a bad choice. "Maybe, but it's mine to make". DBZA 17 and 18 know they to some extent aren't making optimal choices but they're satisfied with being able to make that choice after all this time. Now this doesn't remove their collective stupidity to not get out of there at any point before absorbtion (and the fact this line isn't in the OG text). I just really like the line.
12:00 Wow, I never thought of it but yeah, if only 2 of these 3 stooges failed Cell would be dead. As for who screwed up the hardest, Vegeta made the biggest mistake but like Sage said, Vegeta should *never* be trusted to get things done on his own at this point. Krillin's hard on for 18 should not distract bro from getting the job done. Him bagging her afterward is not a good argument because there was no garuntee. Girl could be a 15/10, promise not to hurt anyone and be into me. If she plans on not leaving the island by herself, I'm choosing the world.
another thing of note, in the manga Trunks never let the androids go, its entirely Vegeta, 18 and Krillin After Cell notices 18, trunks go straight for Cell, the problem was Vegeta, once Cell gets Vegeta to hold off Trunks for just a moment he uses Solar Flare and absorbs 18, there is no moment where Trunks isnt on business, once Vegeta stops fighting Cell Trunks goes for the kill and Cell gets Vegeta to protect him
Personally cell saga is my favorite. I just love that everyone got a role to play in it. Feels like the last arc where it really was “The Z fighters” you know.
I think going into the hyperbolic time chamber Goku had every intention of him and him alone fighting Cell. When they did that flashback of them training and gohan flashed super saiyan 2 with him in the chamber. Thats when the plan changed..... that being said he still should have told him lol
Lowkey letting Gero wake up 17 and 18 was a good thing in the end. If he didn’t then we could have wound up with an out of nowhere perfect cell before Vegeta gets out of the time chamber
honestly trunks' biggest accomplishment is in the super manga, where he learns how to use ss2 in a way that it had almost the same power as ss3, but none of the stamina drain. unfortunately it didnt matter, cause god.
16:15 they mean kaioken ssj could've beaten cell, ssj2 is 2x kaioken ssj is theoretically the same exact power as ssj, but gohan did have a higher power in base ssj grade 4 than goku so i think kaioken x2 would've worked and for ascended perfect cell a kaioken x4 since perfect cell is ssj and ascended perfect cell is ssj2
I like the idea of using this arc to show the characters flaws and mistakes, but I feel like it suffers from a bad case of Idiot Plot to the point where it feels incredibly annoying
Krillin worse in my opinion. due to knowing vegeta I sadly expect him to pull some crap like that (dedoria, frieza, android 18, etc) seen him do things that got him caught up because he was cocky. Krillin however bro this feels like a weird decision out of him when we seen him make smart plays in the past. Especially the reason you did it was for sum robot cush, same person who was designed to Kill your best friend. Crazy work to me. Also he had an easier job than vegeta, button vs fighting someone (even though vegeta was washing cell)
Cell arc has a lot of of potholes and contrivences. It's still really good but Freeza arc has much tighter writing and is Z's peak imo. Freeza arc 5/5 Cell arc 4/5 Buu arc 3/5
Can someone explain how bulma figured out time travel in the future trunks timeline? For a while ive been arguing about rhis with people and people just either skerrt past the fact or just chalk it up to "it makes sense to build a time machine because everything is fucked, in that timeline"
To me the bad parts of cell saga was when cell revealed his origins i feel like it could be postponed for bigger effect and the fact that he didnt know piccolo could regenerate despite being made from piccolos cells and footage
Honestly the only reason why I give Vegeta more shit than Krillin is the fact that he makes an *active effort* to let Cell reach perfection while ignoring everything else. And if I'm not mistaken, everyone trained, Vegeta included, if he wanted a challenge then why train so hard just to let him power up beyond what you thought he was capable of? At that point its worse than Krillin not killing off 18 because there's at least some moral implications no matter how flimsy, Vegeta went full dickhead and made sure Cell got what he wanted, even taking Trunks out of the equation just for a moment of stroking his ego.
I always thought….if Cell could use EVERY ability Goku could….what if bro used KaioKen vs Gohan😭😭😭 literally just a kaioken x2 would’ve been it…he did everything else but not kaioken😭
Tbh the Cell saga is my least favorite arc in DBZ, but even then it’s still such a great arc. It’s honestly a miracle how good it turned out with how many times the story changed courses and all the mistakes that made every Z fighter (except for Tien) look stupid
The Cell Saga was born from the Z-Fighters being bored. They helped Cell go stronger while going, “oh nooo! I’m stuck in the washing machine step bro”.
Hot take: Cell Saga is the best arc in Dbz. I’m gonna be honest for most of Namek it was just aight. The Ginyu Force was wasted because they were threats for 2 seconds ( Guldo doesn’t need inclusion) until they weren’t. Frieza for a good while absolutely CARRIED tf out of it. Super Saiyan was the greatest moment in anime history ( also carried the arc ) and Vegetas death. Outside of these few things there’s nothing else that special about Namek that makes it greater than Cell Saga.
Guldo had hax and would've killed Gohan and Krillin if Vegeta didn't jump in. Recoome pulled a Nappa and solo'd the cast until Goku showed up. Ginyu body snatched Goku and left him in his damaged old body, where he could've killed him if he wanted. He then got a whole second boss fight where Goku got injured some more and Vegeta almost got snatched were it not for Goku coming in clutch with that frog throw. And that fight out Goku out of commission, which thankfully let Goku obtain Zenkai so he could fight Frieza. The Ginyu Force was most definitely not a "threat for 2 seconds".
I will say as much as buu saga gave us vegito, ssj3, fusion and potential unleashed gohan, cell saga is better. Ssj2, cell, the androids, trunks, mecha frieza. It’s just better
I kinda sympathize with Krillin’s mistake. If 18 blew up then there’s no reviving her. No dragon balls at the moment and even once Dende became Kami no one is gonna let Krillin bring her back.
My thing is that Goku Vegeta keep getting the same recycled ideas Goku unlocks a new form and can’t control it’s ki and Goku regressing as a character relearning everything he’s already learned like meditation is just as important as exercise
The Cell saga was never very good but many of the reasons stated aren’t the reasons it’s bad. Say Trunks (or Bulma for that matter) gives Goku the cure and explains the android threat. They go and stop the Androids. In that timeline crisis averted. In Future Trunks’ timeline everything the same so that’s not helpful. Of all the villains in DB not only was Cell the most generic he was the most cowardly. Vegeta v androids bluffs and then needs a senzu Cell bluffs and gets a senzu. Vegeta wants a challenge and helps Cell get stronger Cell wants a challenge and helps Gohan get stronger. It’s amazing Toriyama made a cohesive story but the villain is weak and it makes sense given he was made on the fly. But let’s not forget Gohan Turing SSJ I mean SSJ2 the same way his dad did but without the emotional impact of someone he cared about. Nope an android he met 10 minutes who wanted to end his father was the one that hit him there. Not his friends and family getting the mess beat out of them. Now he’s a pacifist. He never brought this up in those three years of training or in the RoSaT but here we are.
Fr the whole why didnt Trunks mastered super saiyan. Is almost like people forget the abyss of experience Goku and Vegeta have on literally everyone else that hasnt been alive for milennia. Or counting that whatever the saiyans believed about potential was obviously wrong and you probably should call Goku a late bloomer and not a freaking low class warrior because that mf is a genius that man is constantly lapping geniuses, beings millions of years old, demons, gods, aliens, robots, spirits name it. Saiyans are op but best believe Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and Broly are such big outlayers that you should call them mutants fck that
i just started watching DB/DBZ 2 years ago. Cell Saga was the one that made me the most pissed. Everybody was stupid, useless, and illogical the whole saga
Cell beat every z fighter ass in the one's and said I could destroy this planet but imma give everyone 10 years to train to fuck with me and they still couldn't before Gohan gave into his emotions put some respect on Cell name
A LOT of ppl brush over that Vegeta not saving Trunks and Bulma scene💀💀💀💀 literally saw what was about to happen and verbatim “why would I care” gOkU bad DaD tho
I hate the cell saga I hate stupid so it pissed me off. I liked it up until the island because it was so suspenseful and felt like a sci-fi horror at times. then I hated it when Cell became perfect and I hated that we had to watch Gohan suffer PTSD to go super saiyan the adults should’ve trained more idc 😂. Gohan probably would’ve reached that level if they weren’t so cocky and left early. but they are saiyans at the end of the day just thinking about fighting
"Cell is trying to absorb the androids!" Goku, who can literally just teleport 18 to another planet because, CELL CANNOT travel through space, or sense androids bro
@@sdbzfan1 I said travel, it would take him along time to even get to another planet light years away, and plus. He can't sense an android so what then?
lol like freeza wasn't Vegeta telling Freeza to transform, Piccolo sitting there and doing nothing, Goku gambling the fate of everyone on Freeza not just destroying Namek...
Vegeta was a terrible person initially. He wasn’t always a better father than Goku, no one is saying that. You’re highlighting his character growth moments. But in Super he is just blatantly a better father than Goku.
They're both bad dads in Super. At least Goku can say he died saving his son's life twice and motivated him to do great things when he really needed that confidence boost. The only time Vegeta does something like that for Trunks is AFTER he's screwed up or something really bad happens to him.
@@espurrseyes42 Vegeta was a terrible person initially, him being a bad dad was an extension of that, and very much expected based on his personality. The reason Goku catches so much flak is because he is a good person, so his flaws seem much worse by comparison. Also not sure why you think Vegeta was a bad dad in super. Can't remeber specifically what it was, but I remember Vegeta refusing Goku's request because he had to be present when Bulla was born. He actually recognised the importance of his presence in those moments, unlike Goku who would still leave for months or years at a team, abandoning Chichi and Goten.
@@young_raymond47 That's one moment. Not counting him taking Trunks to an amusement park on account of wanting to keep a promise he made before his sacrifice and then leaving partly through it out of frustration to go train since he's still on Goku's dick. That's one good thing he's done for his kids as a father.

@@amari648 I agree! Not true at all, if anything vegeta was in character, cell saga was peak vegeta for me ngl even with all the L’s he took
So mistakes are good only when in cell arc ? That’s the most dumbest thing I ever heard
Man the Cell saga is like that Cell as a villain was just like that and seeing Gohan step up and become truly him was a great moment.
It’s definitely a good arc, probably second right after namek
Not better than the Saiyan Saga

Cell Saga because the Z fighters constantly SELL
Hey I argued that Vegeta is a better dad than Goku NOW not back then, this Vegeta had been a father for less than a year.
It’s definitely my favorite arc
I agree with the time chamber take. Any one who does combat sports says that they take time to rest up enough before a big fight. They drive themselves into the ground and then after the way in need to rehydrate, rest and get nutrients back in the body. Also with weight lifting if you do not rest between workouts muscle will not grow efficiently. Some will grow, b ut you will ruin the gains you could have maximized on.
Cell Saga is the best saga of all dbz
In all DB in general
Agreed
saiyan saga + frieza saga both clear
@@florg5418 na but theyre all 10/10 arcs
@@florg5418 No, cry about it. But they're best arcs After Cell Saga
Fire video🔥
Its definitely second best arc in all of DB anything less than top 3 is pure yap
The only other arc is the buu and that is unarguably the worst. By default it’s 3 but everything went downhill after freiza
The Cell saga was great but The Saiyan Saga & Namek Saga was far better.
Ive always said people let krillin off way to easy in this saga only because he got with 18 in the end
2:21 that's so funny to think about
it's like how yajirobe and cui randomly had final villain strength before they got power cliff'd
Ayy another great video I can't wait to listen to this at work
So I get being frustrated with the characters' bad decisions, cuz they definitely ARE bad.
"didn't Goku basically explain that going in a second time wouldn't do anything for them, basically pointing out the time chamber loses it's effectiveness the more you use it."
Vaguely Goku basically says them Torturing there bodies won't help them Grow but this is a pretty weak argument from Goku as Saiyan's Specifically grow from doing exactly that.
"I mean feel like it makes sense as even the difference in leaps in power Vegeta and Trunks make in comparison. To the second time Vegeta went in it didn't do much, the leap in power wasn't as great. Which is what I think Goku was referring too."
Well it wasn't small either when Pre Second Trip Vegeta was floored at Goku's 50% power when he exits his second trip he is confident he can beat that Goku.
@@SRVaris confident yes, but once he sees Goku and Cell at full power he realizes no one besides Gohan is even on their level
In the kinda defense for krillin there was NO WAY he didn’t sense vegeta and trunks which probably could’ve also encouraged him to not do it. And considering he had seen the androids pull a goku by sparing them despite everyone else wanting them dead and them disregarding killing goku once cell showed up I can somewhat understand him not wanting to just kill her or thinking that the dragon balls couldn’t wish back an android but at the end of the day he still sold by breaking the remote instead of saving it or maybe even trying to use it on cell since he had 17 inside him 🤷
The best part is that every mistake made is 100% in character and that’s what makes them ok
Great commentary
Definitely need you to react to more of my Guy here

Carthu X Sage... The collab we now need
I mean the problem is trunks thought 17 and 18 were created, but in reality they were modified humans much like Gero himself, so going to the lab early wouldnt help since they were deactivated, they would have just lost to a pre turned off 17 and 18
honestly that ending is such a good through line
14:26 so that's why goten gets early access to ssj
10:46 My glorious goat Trunks tried his best, he was just surrounded by idiots
another thing of note, in the manga Trunks never let the androids go, its entirely Vegeta, 18 and Krillin
After Cell notices 18, trunks go straight for Cell, the problem was Vegeta, once Cell gets Vegeta to hold off Trunks for just a moment he uses Solar Flare and absorbs 18, there is no moment where Trunks isnt on business, once Vegeta stops fighting Cell Trunks goes for the kill and Cell gets Vegeta to protect him
THANK YOU SAGE Ive been saying krillen deserved more credit for the bullshit that happen on that island
My 2 favorite DBZ channel
Lowkey letting Gero wake up 17 and 18 was a good thing in the end.
If he didn’t then we could have wound up with an out of nowhere perfect cell before Vegeta gets out of the time chamber
And if they deal with that guy somehow... the one in the secreter lab would wake up eventually and do it then.
honestly trunks' biggest accomplishment is in the super manga, where he learns how to use ss2 in a way that it had almost the same power as ss3, but none of the stamina drain. unfortunately it didnt matter, cause god.
Love ❤️ the Cell Games saga
16:15 they mean kaioken ssj could've beaten cell, ssj2 is 2x kaioken ssj is theoretically the same exact power as ssj, but gohan did have a higher power in base ssj grade 4 than goku so i think kaioken x2 would've worked and for ascended perfect cell a kaioken x4 since perfect cell is ssj and ascended perfect cell is ssj2
There is a reason why carthu is a legend in the DB Fandom
Krillin: Destroys 18 then wishes her back to life once cell is killed, use Bulma to remove the bomb.
Freeza arc 5/5
Cell arc 4/5
Buu arc 3/5

Can someone explain how bulma figured out time travel in the future trunks timeline? For a while ive been arguing about rhis with people and people just either skerrt past the fact or just chalk it up to "it makes sense to build a time machine because everything is fucked, in that timeline"
Isn't the namek arc also all on the cast, too? They didn't drop off vegeta, and they went to namek unprepared? Idk
Y he playing that intense ass dbz music😂😂😂
I ain’t even watch the video yet but hell yes cell saga is a very good saga for me I love cell (Saiyan saga is my favorite)
I’m going to be that guy, but the great saiyaman arc is my favorite arc.
Androids/Cell is the best arc
I always thought….if Cell could use EVERY ability Goku could….what if bro used KaioKen vs Gohan😭😭😭 literally just a kaioken x2 would’ve been it…he did everything else but not kaioken😭
A lot of the “problems” were characters mistakes that made the arc great imo
Tbh the Cell saga is my least favorite arc in DBZ, but even then it’s still such a great arc. It’s honestly a miracle how good it turned out with how many times the story changed courses and all the mistakes that made every Z fighter (except for Tien) look stupid
11:17 Is Krillin not Master Roshi’s student? You literally HAD to be freaky to get Roshi to teach you.
One could say piccolo fucked everyone over by not killing cell at that first interaction. He was stormger but instead wanted intel on cell
The Cell Saga was born from the Z-Fighters being bored. They helped Cell go stronger while going, “oh nooo! I’m stuck in the washing machine step bro”.
You need to review the db multiverse tournament on mondo cool
Second best arc
Carthu is a dragon ball scholar
I will say as much as buu saga gave us vegito, ssj3, fusion and potential unleashed gohan, cell saga is better. Ssj2, cell, the androids, trunks, mecha frieza. It’s just better
Wait there's people really arguing that Vegeta's a better dad??? Carthu a 🐐 btw 😤🔥
Me personally my lest favorite arc in z not that’s its bad
Cell saga is hella imperfect.
It was all about the z fighters hubris.
Piccolo can’t sense #20 so he probably took the attack to see his lvl. Maybe
Cell saga is the embodiment of plot induced stupidity still goated tho
Don’t be fooled, Cell arc alone is great when we got Cell Games and to my defense, Goku was dumb for giving Cell a bean
Cell literally had 2 INFINITE ENERGY ANDROIDS inside him. The bean was more of a morale thing than a regenerating cell thing

King Vegeta better father than Bardock💯
@@young_raymond47
That's one moment. Not counting him taking Trunks to an amusement park on account of wanting to keep a promise he made before his sacrifice and then leaving partly through it out of frustration to go train since he's still on Goku's dick. That's one good thing he's done for his kids as a father.
