Wow this is a fantastically detailed comparison, excellent for those of us cross shopping both of these. I'd love to splurge for the LC, but at nearly 20K less here in Canada I can get one of the lower trim Bronco's with Sasquatch package. It may not be as refined or as perfectly reliable as an LC, but the 20K is a big difference.
I got an Everglades and love it. No regrets and nothing like it on the road. They made it for two years as a special order and yes it is special due to all the upgrades for the price. 🎉
David, Ford certainly took a lot of time to get the Bronco back in production. Their market analysis determined it was worthwhile to offer 2 and 4 door models as well as automatic and manual transmissions across a wide price range. I wonder if this will inspire Toyota to do the same. 🤔
part of why bronco material is plastic and vinyl (not saying they aren’t cheap) is for ease of cleaning and preventing water damage when doors and roof are off
If i was gonna do some rock crawling with the guys, id use the Bronco. If i was taking the family on a offroad trail adventure then definitely the Land Cruiser
Had two Jeep TJs, one base model 4 cyl and a 6 cyl Sport with a 2” lift, that were my daily drivers and offroaded on weekends and at Jeep Jamborees. Also owned 4Runners. Just bought a 2023 4Runner TRD OR but considered a Tacoma. Saw a Trailhunter at the dealer and IMO it’s over-content, over-priced, and impractical. I think it was designed by Toyota marketing, not Toyota engineering. I rarely saw a truck with a snorkel on the trail, and although I made a few stream crossings, streams are for fish, not trucks. The 6 ft bed makes for a very long truck not well suited for the city, and the cramped back seat means less secure dry, space for gear and passengers. If you think the turbo whine is bad, wait ‘til you have people in the back seat. The “triangular” plates in the bed may look cool but I wouldn’t use them since I’d buy a canopy to keep dust and rain off my gear. The suspension is great but the $85k MSRP is breathtaking, the quality marginal, and the durability unknown. Toyota should get back to value and durability, and remove unnecessary content and complexity that jacks up cost.
I much prefer the drive-train in Toyota's 95% of the time, but the form factor of the Bronco is hard to beat. Sadly, you can't always have your cake and eat it too unless you build something from scratch it feels like. Also for the record, Im a sucker for the nostalgic Landcruiser-ness that is the Landcruiser.
Waterproof snorkels should be standard. Its so disappointing when other manufacturers like Land Rover and the new Grenadier don't seal the snorkel so it only helps getting cleaner air with reduced dust
Can you elaborate on a fuel consumption please? You need an extra budget to feed these beasts. Why can’t they put a diesel in there either 35mpg rating? Is it do hard to do?
I presume the LC is more in it's element on trails. It's appearance ain't so appealing on the freeway. The Lexus GX 550 does however appear striking in the city and highways and also probably more so off roading. Just waiting for the hybrid GX.
Hi david! Have you heard of any rumors of new dedicated off-roaders coming to the USA? Lc300? Y61 patrol? (Obviously not those two but I looooove the Y61, and I know Nissans needs an off-roader!) Also how do you feel about the new armada pro-4x as it would naturally be Lc300s competition?
After doing weeks of shopping, the Bronco chosen is not a balanced comparison to the Land Cruiser. There are other models, like the Outer Banks, that would be a more balanced comparison. Bronco is option heavy though so if you add the Sasquatch package it will change the suspension, tires, wheels and overall ride. Ford offers 2.3 4-cyl, 2.7 6-cyl and 3.0 6-cyl. Each having turbo. After doing much business in and around Toyota dealerships in my past life I'm typically pro-Toyota but the approach they've taken with their current offerings are a little bland to me.
The 2025 Toyota Land Cruisers I think are made in Toyota City, Japan. You can't beat their QDR and build quality... You pay for what you get. Just do your LOFs every 6-8K miles.
LC is my choice. Still better reliability than any Ford. Better resale than any Ford. Better Fuel economy. Will go anywhere the bronco or rubicon will go if set up similar. And the Bronco has the worst crash results ive ever seen on any vehicle. The smash up like a paper bag
You tell such a "BIG LIE," please produce the facts! The 2024 Ford Bronco received the following crash test ratings: Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS): Good rating in all crashworthiness tests. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA): Four stars in the frontal crash test and three stars in the rollover test1. Ford Bronco Sport: Five stars in front- and side-impact crash tests, and four stars in the rollover test2.
It’s an automatic transmission why do I need a giant shifter in the center console taking up space when I can instead have a column shifter on the steering wheel or buttons on the dash
I am sorry to break the heart of many land cruiser fans but in my opinion latest 300 and 250 land cruisers are a step backwards in terms of quality. I loved the 200 landcruiser with the V8 but now i would pick the Nissan Patrol in a heartbeat.
This has been proven untrue by The Care Care Nut. Watch his video on the new Land Cruiser and you will be surprised by how well it's built and by the good design choices.
I wouldn't buy a car made by Nissan right now. Their parent company Stellantis is in deep trouble and their stock is tanking. It is uncertain where that company will go next year. And remember, Nissan almost went bankrupt four years ago.
I’d take the Bronco and solely for the reason of Toyota trying to shove battery powered vehicles on us. We want options. My current and previous truck are Toyotas so I’m not a trolling hater.
The first Land Cruiser I bought was a 1975 two door cab with a timber flat deck behind!!!! The dashboard was a copy of a 1930’s dodge fire truck!!!! The only air conditioning was a flap in the footwell!!!! You kicked the flap open with your foot!!!! And for the next five minutes you couldn’t see a thing due to all the dust in the cabin!!! Also one could fill the petrol tank while sitting in the car!!! The fuel tank was under the driver’s seat and the fuel cap was within easy reach from the driver’s seat!!! One could unbolt the roof on the car and then drop the windscreen down and go on safari!!!! Well maybe not in Wellington New Zealand!!!! But I got wise and traded up to the best 4x4 in the universe!!!! Since 1986 I have been driving Range Rover’s!!! Brill video!!!! Yuletide felicitations 🎄 Regards Ian 👨🎤🇳🇿🎄🍸🍸
If you want a real off roader get the Bronco, or better yet, get a Wrangler. The Land Cruiser is a lightweight poser better suited for grocery shopping in inclement weather.
I'm so sorry for the audio issue we had on this specific video. Somehow the microphone wasn't working that day....
👍
No worries…

I think Ford is missing some serious sales numbers here in North America by not importing or building a left hand drive Ford Everest SUV

Any update on Landcruiser FJ pls?
Land cruiser all the way 🙌
I like the interior of the Land Cruiser much, much better.
Me too, the Bronco interior looks like it really wants to be muscular.
That first edition starts at around $75k...so, yeah, you should like the interior better 😂.
part of why bronco material is plastic and vinyl (not saying they aren’t cheap) is for ease of cleaning and preventing water damage when doors and roof are off
would be fun to revisit these 2 cars... these 2 specific cars, in 10 years and see which one fared better...

LC all day
Don’t forget twice on Sunday
Hi David 😊greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
They are both nice but I would take the Bronco for the fact the top and doors are removable.
I also love the classic Bronco design.
Another great video! Toyota all day vs. Ford
I love the look of the tire/wheel package. Can you tell me what the actual tire size and offset is?
Traded my 24 Bronco Raptor for a Heritage Blue First Edition. For me, Raptor was extremely overkill. No regrets! Love the LC!
fair review TY!
The Bronco has a removable top and it's why the interior is using harder plastics for durability and ease of cleaning.
Hello, sir. Would you mind sharing your tire size and wheel offset? Thank you.

did your landcruiser tire stick out with a spacer ?
It's because I chose a very aggressive offset...
GX 550 Overtrail makes the most sense to me. Best value per dollar IMHO.
This ^! For the price of a top line LandCruiser I would get the GX550 Overtrail also.
Thank you! I just purchased a 1958 today. What wheel and tire combo did you buy, stock has to go! From San Antonio happy holidays.
Maximum height increase with stock suspension 255/80R17 or 275/70R18.
The interior of the Bronco is meant to get dirty and easy to clean
This is a good comparison but I would like to see the Badlands Bronco with the 2.7L V6 compared to the LC.
I was going to buy the Land Cruiser but instead I got the Ranger Raptor best decision I’ve ever made
With Toyota quality suffering and voiding Corolla gr warranty the decision between the two is much harder
Did you lose gas mileage with those tires?
V6 Bronco Outer Banks seems like a good value if you aren’t doing a ton of off-roading

love my bronco but I also want a gx550 for the luxury and comfort.
Seems like something with the audio is off
This one’s easy, LC.
My GX 550 all day over a cheesy LC.
@@xeroxboy01my LX 570 all day over the cheesy GX. 😉
The bronco is more capable offroad and Toyota no longer has the reliability badge. Their vehicles have just as much problems as their competitors
😂😂😂😂
Completely agreed
Love your content but the audio quality is terrible. Please improve your audio recording. Thanks
Yes I am aware of the audio issue we had on this video.. .the mic wasn't working that day. Sorry about that!

Never thought of the day a Toyota Land Cruiser can potentially be compared or loose to a ford bronco. Toyota is on the way down and fast.
Did you lift the land cruiser.
You'd think an offroad vehicle would have thick paint - especially where mother nature is likely to hand out pinstripes.
Toyota really needs to put better tire's on their Truck's and SUV's. We have a pay 80-90K for an off-roader with crap tire's.
Reliability is number 1 for me not gadgets LC

Nissans are junk

I have both a Rubicon and a new LC. Different vehicles for different conditions.
Bronco all day. Keep the land cruiser
Toyota fell off man, I'm glad I got the ultra reliable 2023 4Runner.
