Motorola Moto E7i Power | Unboxing & Full Tour

  • Unboxing the Motorola Moto E7i Power, one of the cheapest budget smartphones of 2021 with a £79 UK asking price. While the camera is basic and the performance is limited, the Moto E7i Power does boast long battery life and can even handle light gaming on PubG/CODM. For under £100, impressive stuff even if it's old Android 10.
    If you like this unboxing, check out my reviews of other affordable phones including my 'best of' round ups.
    Motorola is rather prolific when it comes to launching fresh handsets, with this blower coming hot on the heels of the Moto G10. However, the Moto E7i Power is even more budget-friendly, while still offering a 6.5-inch HD screen, 5000mAh battery and a headphone jack. The 13MP primary camera is very simple, as you'll see from my quick test, but I was surprised that the smartphone could handle some CODM action, albeit on low settings.

    No smartphone from Lenovo, Sony, Google, Samsung, Oppo, ZTE, Sony, HTC, Honor, etc comes close to Moto smartphones for me. The price-performance ratio can hardly be beaten. I use the Moto G10, my girlfriend just this E7i-Power. The storage in the E7i-Power alone, which can be expanded by up to 1 TB via microSD card, is an absolute hit, because my girlfriend loves taking pictures and needs a lot of space for the resulting pictures. The performance of our phones is (for me) not worse than that of other, much too overpriced smartphones. Thanks for this very good video!

    • @Adenom100
      @Adenom100 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@henrybirks7752 Yes, I know. You are also right about that. With the acquisition of Motorola, Lenovo took over the better know-how for manufacturing cell phones. Motorola continues to be an independent brand. Now they are also the best smartphones again, because I had a pure Lenovo smartphone in the meantime and it was nowhere near the ones from Moto.

    Do you know what…for the asking price this is not bad at all. The specs, software and feature are all decent and fairly well calibrated for this entry level type of device. This would be a good smartphone for younger kids or perhaps elderly parents/relatives, if you consider purchasing one for them.

    • @abcun17
      @abcun17 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Arctic Fancy yeah no thanks. Tried the Redmi devices and they are pure crap. Sound good on paper, suck in practice. Terrible hardware and software. Not worth spending money on.

    • @abcun17
      @abcun17 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@gabbycyber9917 I am not recommending any brand. Because everyone has different experiences with different brands. For me Nokia devices with the Android One programme have been the best. But that is just for me. All these Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Redmi, One Plus always sound good on paper. The price, the features, specs etc., sound too good to be true, and in everyday use for many of them that is the case. Like that saying, "not everything that glitters is gold". Especially during prolonged usage. I've tested some (I'm not a tech expert by any means all I can speak to is what I've experienced and seen), had friends who owned these devices and most ended up replacing them quite fast after experiencing a slew of issues, poor battery life, hardware malfunctioning (especially screen problems, overheating), poor software and security patch updates etc. Most of them went on to buy Samsungs, iPhones, Pixels and yes Motorolas etc. No device is ever perfect in any way shape or form. All have issues and problems, even expensive flagships, but also all other price levels and ranges. However it seems as if these particular OEMs have more issues/problems than most. But to each his own. If you like Redmi and you've had a good experience with that brand, well then that is fine. After all it is your money your choice. To each his own.

    I was looking for a phone that wasn’t too expensive and all singing and dancing. I saw this at Tesco and watched this video. I was really impressed with your review, and I purchased this (in the blue) yesterday. It cost £89.99 with free triple credit. So a £60 phone. Many thanks for your review. Really appreciated. The only downer was..taking a video or pic when you expect it to click very quickly took longer than expected. Nothing else seems to be a problem. The phone on display above this was a Samsung something or other at £700. Very happy with the purchase.

      @Arctic Fancy I wouldn’t get this phone for myself and I wouldn’t buy a little kid a Xiaomi because of the amount of bugs you get on it. My own kids (teenagers) have an Oppo, a Huawei and an iPhone. I’m an iPhone 12 and Poco F3 user.

    Was a great phone in the first 6 months, now it lags, is unresponsive, and apps on any sdcard will not work at all. ..All previous entry level motoralla phones I have purchased in the past were all gems.

    I have a Moto power 8 that has already updated to 11. So this sounds like a step down, no sale.

      You actually have an SD 636 in there too. Not the same price bracket to be fair.

      Thing is that Android 10 works very well. For what that phone is, Android 10 is plenty good. The software is still supported, the apps are still being updated. You don't always have to have the latest software version for a phone to work or be useful. Especially at that price range.

    Yes there may be a market for this type of super budget phones but Motorola should not have wasted resources to build this, even if it was $50, it would cause more to recycle for the time it will be used. Classic example of dumping if the UnisocSoC chips

    love how its almost bashed for being such a basic phone but for most people, especially over 50.. even me I don't know or even use about 80% of the added bullshit like this pay that pay, double tripple 170hz 8k w67 display. its so basic and simple I think I'm buying two of these one for my mom and one for a burner for me.

    Despite the fact that Motorola seem to bring out a new phone every week I never, and I mean NEVER see anyone with one. It's Sammy or iPhone, and an occasional Xiaomi. Who's buying them?
