Look, I'm balls-deep in tech shit but I had a revelation about smart watches. They're all bollocks. I had a Galaxy Watch 3 back in the day and I had a Venu and then Venu 2. All good whatever. But here's the thing. You don't need all that shit. My Venu 2 connected to the kit at the gym I go to. You could connect to treadmills and bikes and whatever. But it's all shit data unless you're an athlete. If you're a regular person you don't need all that. You need, at most, the time, steps and heart rate. With that in mind I got a 90 quid Fossil hybrid. It looks good, does the basics I need and you charge it once a month. All that other stuff is nonsense. Sleep trackers? Fuck off! You know when you went to bed and you know when you woke up. It's all shite.
I agree with you.. but I'd like you to consider my present predicament; I'd like to keep tabs on my heart rate and daily steps especially as a motivation but I'm also a music person; especially for walks and runs that I can't/won't bring my Expensive Samsung Fold to. I have seriously wanted to purchase the Garmin Instinct Crossover or Fossil hybrid but been held back by a lack of music storage.. I also have the Withings Horizon with which I have practiced the non-smartwatch life but left unsatisfied. In my summation, I have no option but to use a Galaxy Watch6 which can both act as a dress watch with an appropriate analog watchface (Messa) but also switch to a G-Shock-Like sports watch with music on board when I insert it into a Spigen Pro Case. As an added bonus, I can remotely receive calls and messages when on said runs (without my phone on me) and the screen can turn into a torchlight when/if I need it to. These are non-missable features for me.
For me it's the opposite. I've never worn a watch in my life, that only changed with smartwatches. I'm not a big athlete and I don't need a lot of functions at all. But I still love my Galaxy Watch. In meetings I switch on the Always On Display so I can look at the watch discreetly. I can quickly set a timer, pay, open my door lock without looking for the keycard. On the go, I don't need to take the phone out of my pocket to control the music or podcast. And I also like the alarm clock. Instead of being jolted out of sleep by my smartphone in the morning, it just vibrates gently on my wrist. That's enough to wake me up. I also find it quite nice to see my daily steps. Two years ago I woke up in the night and had severe cardiac arrhythmia and heart fluttering. I didn't want to wake anyone up and wondered if there was really something wrong or if I was just getting worked up. These watches aren't very accurate, of course, but it was enough to make me think that I better call the ambulance.
I agree with most of what you're saying. But sleep tracking, blood pressure, stress levels.. Those are great. Had a fitbit previously and loved it, but it broke because of shit quality connection to the band. I'm not an athlete. But I was working fulltime and doing fulltime studies. So using it to optimize my sleep, checking in on my stress levels and seeing what helped me improve those over a longer period of time was great. Yes, checking everyday wont give much and can sometimes just give some positive/negative placebo. But checking patterns over a longer span of time was helpful and I could analyze the data to understand the underlying reasons to why my stress level was high or low, why I got better sleep in february compared to march etc. It helped me focus on behaviors that moved the needle in the right direction and ignore the ones that didn't have much of an effect

Interesting. I just purchased the GTS 4 (square) and now it's my fav. Seriously thinking of the GTR 4 and expecting it to rival my GW Pro 5 and GW 6 Classic. Weird these watches were left out of the review although Fossil watch was included.

Huawei Watch GT will forever be the best smart watch ever literally unless you have an iPhone then your best choice is unfortunately the apple watch. Even the first ever Watch GT is still great. I've been using mine since 2019, only upgraded to the 4 this week. And yes, all the features that it's missing are, in my opinion, are unnecessary and ruin the battery.
I’m an iPhone user and sadly I’ve recently decided to change my AW SE (1st gen) for another smartwatch. This due to very poor battery life, to me not liking the rectangular watch case as I used to do, and overall cause it still got a too much casual look (don’t like wearing it on formal/semi-formal occasions). Now, my priorities in a smartwatch have changed a bit and I’ve been reading and watching reviews about the GT4. I know that for iPhone users the best option on the market is the AW, still I don’t wanna spend too much on a smartwatch (like the AW9 or Ultra) to upgrade my SE. Which will be pointless since there weren’t that many new features. But from what I’ve seen, apart from the ability to reply to notifications, to play music without the phone and other small things, the GT4 works fine on iOS phones too. Plus I always wanted a smartwatch that resembled mechanical/analog watches’ design, and I love its silver watch case.
For best battery life, throw your smart watch in the trash can and find your old Casio or Iron Man watches. Those get 2 years on a full charged battery. !!
The best option for me was a solar charge for battery solution. Currently garmin, tissot and seiko have that option. So far i am on the original charge since 2 months ago.
i've bought multiple GT4s for my family. ( the gold, with the mesh stap ) looks amazing on a females hand . And not a single complaint from any of the gift takers always recommend gt4

I'm a Pixel user and I've never had a smart watch before but I can currently get the 1st gen pixel watch for £129. How does it compare to others on this list especially the Pixel watch 2 at that price?
I like how you constantly hate on Bixby 😂. The problem is you have expectations, for some things related to phone and app control it's much better than Google assistant ❤. It has its usage in my life. That said I get it people don't want to bother their lives like that, we're not willing to invest even a few minutes in learning about product features and we want the product to just revolve around us - which is a sensible approach too I guess.

Mobvoi are crap as well, I have the pro 5, great watch, light and cracking battery life, but-the software support is utter pants and that is a shame as it would probably be my daily if it was supported like other manufacturers, never mind :(
😂😂"Battery life is rather a toilet"
The Nothing watch is the best one here, I like the Huawei Fit as well its less expensive and has longer battery life
Not a single Amazfit? I'd definitely add Amazfit Balance here.
Love you too Uncle Spurt
I'm a Pixel user and I've never had a smart watch before but I can currently get the 1st gen pixel watch for £129.
How does it compare to others on this list especially the Pixel watch 2 at that price?
OnePlus Watch 2 ❤ TicWatch Pro 5 ❤ only 2 watches I would buy. Incredible performance and value for money. They also look 😊 incredible.
Have both Ur correct 💯, concur
Some of these are huge it's like they're compensating for something lol I might as well wear a 12 inch TV on my arm little too big for me.
Where is amazfit series
heart rate and ekg or no buy, samsung is no buy cause thay limit this function to samsung phones :(
Great review! Been looking for a watch to buy my Dad, currently considering the Samsung and Huawei Watches you just shown!
The Huawei 4 pro looks like an amazfit balance
Do you
recommend Huawei 4 pro?
@@Malekismygoat Got an Amazfit Gtr 3 Pro through a comp 2 years ago. Love it, but like the look of the Balance more though. Very pleased with the Gtr3 pro. I don't want all the bells and whistles. Track me working out, tell the time and that's about it. Wish we could use it to store data on like a mini USB drive.
Never buy a Mobvoi, their software support is close to non-existent
Had a Mobvoi watch a few years ago. Absolute crap.
My body truly is a "fleshy prison"😢
0:00 didn’t skip😂
I still have hauwie watch 3 pro
The fact that you didn't include a single garmin watch is absurd.
If they don't have 2 week battery life then forget about them
I like how bro always puts one of the quintessential quintuplets on his watches and phones 😭💀
Bro is definitely Nino enjoyer😭
Nice video
Garmin for life. If not a Garmin though my favorite smart watch was oddly enough the Pixel Watch 2.nice design, really great haptics and super smooth software.
Garmin always👌
Garmin isn’t a smart watch, it’s more of a fitness tracker.
@@superiortoall22not true. My Venu 3 is more like a smartwatch. It has contactless payments and full notification support (including the ability to type replies to messages). It also has a microphone and speaker for making/taking calls.
@@superiortoall22 it's got smart watch features and pretty much the same ones I use on any watch. I very rarely respond to texts or answer the phone through my watch. The fitness features are the most important to me. As long as I get my notifications I'm good
@@superiortoall22 Smart watch + fitness tracker...actually all of these are gadgets 😁
Great Video brother i liked the nino wallpapers on the watch😂
Was seeing if someone recognized😂
@@imjusttoobored 😂😂😂😂😂😂
