Today I will be providing you with a brief summary of everything it takes to ls swap a 91 S10. I show all the additional relays, wires and special fitting required to complete the ls swap in a 91 S10. Enjoy!
great video i have 2 s10s and my 91 is ready for a v8 ill be rewatching this video a lot for its simplisity in explaining things thanks for making it man 100
hey my 2.8 is a peppy lil fucker lmao but i cant wait to put a 5.3 in it. Just looking around to see what problems and all people may have ran into. Cool video, definitely learned a few things.
@@aidanb6137 nice, earl had a 2.8l with about 600k miles or more. Im actually swapping put the 5.3l in that video for a 6.0l should make a few more horses.
I got a 1991 s10 for my 15 birthday a few months ago. With all red interior and original red bench seat an the first thing I thought of was LS swap . How much was the total build?
I was able to do it for under $3k but I did all the work myself and used old parts when I could. The only parts that are expensive are the motor and trans the rest you can get over a period of time and it wont seem like you spent 3k
@@jaesonmcdonald9915 i knew basic engine repair and had to learn a lot as I went. It sounds as though you will do just fine. The hardest part is starting.
@@tysmendoza5788 alternative: you can swap in a 3.4l from a v6 camaro. It bolts right in. As for not having a garage I did my ls swap the first time in a shit hole trailer under a tree. The videos are there just way back dont let not having a garage stop you. Sure you may have to do some extra stuff to protect things and you will want most if not all the swap before you start.
Nice work! Question, would you happen to have a link for the headers you used? The drivers side header currently on my s10 is digging a grove into the metal steering shaft.
So the one I got doesnt show up but I wish I had got this one because these s10s need that shroud. So I will be getting this one in a few day/weeks. www.ebay.com/itm/3-Row-Aluminum-Radiator-Shroud-Fan-for-1996-2005-Chevy-S10-LS-Swap-SS-ZR2-4-3-V6-/193869705159?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0

Hey, bud. Can u use the 4.3 manual 5spd trans with that 5.3?
Negative the 4.3l uses a different bellhousing bolt pattern.
