    This is possibly the best Terminator X install video out there. I learned as much from your mistakes as I did from your successes. Great camera work, especially on the oil pressure sender. Having your car’s wiring exposed like you have really made it easy to see where the wires went. Thanks again.

      Yeah I had originally gone very detailed into that part of the dual fan setup but the video got too long, plus that wiring harness wasn’t technically part of the Terminator X kit either so I cut it out. As for the alternator, I briefly mention that there are 11 pages included in the manual regarding how to hook up your alternator and I explain it as well as I can, to include the resistor.

    • @rustysausage69

      None of your gauge cluster would work other than maybe fuel level. With an auto transmission, you can have the holley control that and the handheld screen will display all of that, but its small. Its expensive but Dakota Digital makes gauges that would replace the stock gauges and interfaces off of the holley giving you all the readouts your old dash has. Highly recommend but its like $1K+ i think.

    • @rustysausage69

      N/A--1 bar MAP sensor. DO NOT USE A MAP SENSOR OTHER THAN 1 BAR FOR N/A. There isn't a 1 bar that plugs into the terminator harness without a conversion pigtail, I use a LS3 1 bar sensor with the pigtail.
      If you're boosted, each roughly 10 PSI of boost requires 1 bar of sensor capability. So 2bar is good to 20, 3bar to 30, 4bar to 40, etc. etc. There is a 2 bar sensor (cobalt SS if I'm not mistaken) that plugs right into it.

    • @SpyderGarage
      @SpyderGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As long as you have the stock Bosch EV1 injectors, then yes, the 550-916 is the correct part #. And yes, you will need to purchase a separate injector harness for those style injectors. It doesn’t come with the Terminator kit because injector choice varies so much between cars that Holley keeps the kits separate.

    At idle if the engine is turning 800-1000 rpm, are you sure the tps should be zero? At idle I would expect to see 15% roughly. Maybe the Holley is different than GM.

    • @SpyderGarage
      @SpyderGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We’ve since learned that a cold start will run a little rich AFR-wise and idle will be a couple hundred rpm higher. Once it’s warmed up it all goes back to normal where we set it.

    • @KCadbyRacing
      @KCadbyRacing ปีที่แล้ว

      The TPS on Stand alone ECUs (not just Holley) is always calibrated to 0% at idle and Holley EFI specifically says to recalibrate the TPS if/when the throttle itself has been reset IE throttle/idle screw turned in/out. That's because the Holley IAC (Idle Air Control) goes to it's "Hold Position" above 2% TPS.
      Quote from Holley Instructions -> Important note: "The TPS sensor must read less than 2% for IAC idle control to be enabled.
      If it is above 2%, the IAC will be forced to its “IAC Hold Position”...

      We used the ‘actual’ injector part # using the laptop software instead of the CAN. It’s not super hard to find the injector on/off times online if you look, but I had a tuner verify my graduated on/off scale just be sure. 👍🏻

    Wait so that green wire for the fuel pump powers the fuel pump?

    • @SpyderGarage
      @SpyderGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol. Umm… yes, but I mention it because it’s a choice you have to make. You can use it so long as you’re using a stock style fuel pump that doesn’t require more than 15 amps. (Also, run it to the “grey” wire and not the purple as I incorrectly did the first time)!😉

    Can you still use the terminator x max wiring and have it still plug into dash? For example if you have oil pressure hooked up to the terminator x max but you don’t use the terminator x gauge thing can you still have it going to a different dash?

    • @SpyderGarage
      @SpyderGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      If I’m understanding the question, yes, you can install a T-fitting for a mechanical gauge underneath the Holley pressure transducer that feeds the CAN (handheld) or you can splice the wires and feed a separate electronic oil pressure gauge. But doing that will void Holley’s warranty.

      @@SpyderGarage gotcha. Just asking because I got a neat little cluster and would like to be able to reuse the stuff like coolant temp, mph, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel %. It’s a jegs electric dash cluster thing. Also wouldn’t a T fitting cause it to read oil pressure half of what it is or just off? Might just have to deal with it lol or just not hook up oil pressure to the terminator. Rather see it on my cluster than in the data log imo
