To be honest, the supra seems slower because of the start. I wonder what would happen if the drag race was a rolling start...

@@qc-sunbro3066 it would still loose, the 2jz in stock is low power compared to the GTR RB engine, the supra is not a sports car is a Grand Tourer and people often confuse those terms

Absolutely not! Nissan design the RB26 for Attesa AWD if they want to do RWD they would but RB30 on it to be fair comparison but they focus on the championship races not street races with a SUPRA

@@rbbb2657 yep, in usa evo are monstrous, sometimes supra driver worst nightmare when they were in a highway is the meeting with lan evo, 4g63 is no joke. 500hp evo with a right set up transmission and gear ratio it can achieve 320+kmh (my senior colleague has this car)

Come on guys gtr was proper race car for Nissan which was built to dominate but Supra Toyota didn't even use the engine for racing because it was too heavy and you have to hit the too early to exit a corner
wtf are you on about? 2JZGTE block is WAY lighter than RB26 block, AND it's stronger!!! This is entirely down to extra power + ATTESA of R33, in addition to a piss poor performance by Supra driver.

El R33 no fue muy innovador... era un R32 con un lavado de diseño... a diferencia del R34 que fue muy innovador... caja manual de 6 marchas, una computadora que muestra datos y ajustes mediante una pantalla LED, uno de los mejores diseño de carrocería, etc...

This is laughable. A Supra should be doing 1/4 miles in mid to high 13s.
Nonetheless, a GT-R clearly performs better than Supras in just about anything but top speed, and it makes sense. After all, Supras, 300ZX, and my favourite JDM of them all, the GTO (which I own), are comfortable grand tourers, and while they are fairly decent performers, they should not be compared to more pure sports cars like GT-R's, RX-7's or NSX. A possible exception to this may be a GTO MR and in 1/4 mile tests specifically, in which it can even match a R33 when launched properly, as its torque figure is just as massive as Supra's, but with AWD.
BOI!! 13 Secs a supra!? Dude stop exaggerating the supras power, the toyota supra is not a fast car when stock and is even more bad when people call it a sport car when in reality is a GT or Grand Tourer for that matter
@@tobiasrenner3498 Yes, I know Supras are GT cars, just like the 3000GT and 300ZX, both of which I prefer btw (Supras are not my cup of tea, I don't fancy overly hyped cars), but that doesn't mean it can't do the 1/4 mile in 13.5-13.7s @105-108 mph in proper hands. Do some research.

Dude. The R33 GTRs stock Top speed is 280kmh. 285 for V specs and 305 for the 400R.The Supra tops out just over 250kmh. The Supra will never catch the GTR anywhere really . Once they both launch the GTR will stay ahead infinitely. The R34 gaps the MK4 Supra even more.
@@danielvivastejuelo8168 You are right. The Supra is at best a 13.7 car. Before the 320hp update for the US and Europe. After that it went 13.3 which is after 1997 I believe till 2002.

In real life the Toyota Supra has 340 horsepower. That's what a lot of places say. It had the same horsepower as a Camaro and firebird
There are two versions of the jza80, the one you say is the American twin turbo 330hp version and the supra that appears in the video is the Japanese one that did not have a turbo, it was a naturally aspirated 2jz with 280hp
@@Edagr_fujiwarathey are all available w turbo. the eu version got 320hp because of a different turbo iirc and the us also got 320hp but japan got 276 due to the gentleman’s agreement.
