I could not speak for a year. But took leap of faith cuz I thought I took Science program : they EXPLAIN “how to watch TV”, n they DEBUNK d myth” Black d better” . 😅by funniest Fluke, at same time as I was taking Busienss high level Marketing , Business PROFESSOR --THROUGHLY pick SONY TV entire business model apart.
IF u pay attention, that Samsung S90C, Hisense U7K, TCL Q7, they are all Good value even tho they are NOT Flagship. BUT SONY once NOT Flagship(X95L, A95L) almost nothing , the A80L is NOT even QD-OLED. The X95L only came in Nov n only in 85” n $4000. SONY use Flagship to PROMOTE the Prestige ,, but they know most consumers 99% buy tier down. So they do NOT awnt most ppl buy their Flagship. Cuz they LOSE money by selling Flagship. (F they offer flagship slightly cheaper A95L, or X95L in 65”) Ppl will NOT buy Tier down, they will NOT upgrade in 2 yrs. They wil use FUTURE Flagship to LURE ppl to buy more tier down, rinse repeat. It’s d---ppl buy X90L, A80L , A75L X93L X85L that Make SONY all the money, they LOSE money by selling A95L n X95L. But they make it for show. Meanwhile those Samsung HIsnse TCL are significantly nicer than those over priced SONY mid range @ or below the same price level 😮. But with successful Advertising , those ppl RATHER get a “WORSE looking Mid range SONY” than looking else where.
In Marketing --“once u are used to use SAME shampoo, u dont care whats better out there” , OUR brain does its trick associate “familiarity as SAFETY” in Marketing==sway shopping habit. Keeping consumers buying Lower tier SONY can also Groom them to develop Cult like habit.
Consumers turn blind eyes to better innovation. So if competition go out of door, SONY doesn’t need to show MUCH in “flagship “ each year, ppl will flock to buy anyway. So yeah. I know my voice sucks. But if I can find better way to Speak. Maybe i can Help ppl.
