      Health Coach Kait Can someone with high cholesterol do this diet ? The test result for my husband shows total cholesterol 254 . Can he do this diet to lose weight? Thank you 🙏🏽 so much

      I'd like to follow it, but too many of my favorite seasonings, like garlic powder and thyme and parsely, dont come from animals, and I have fewer kitchen fires from plant based oils than butter, as does my wife. Being married to someone who blindly panicked and threw water onto a grease fire and burned down half her kitchen 8n the resulting conflaguration, this is an especially hard sell. I am already trying to follow a subsistence-based diet, free of ritualistic or recreational eating, but I dont know if I can give up herbs and spices. I certainly get antagonized at every turn by hoosiers for my spartan regimen, as it is. This may be an excellent idea in it's entirety, but I am not brave enough to attempt it. Kudos, to anyone who does, though. May you not be hounded by everyone and their Mom, like I am. Peer "pressure," to use a gross understatement, "SUCKS."

      Admittedly, I have several type 3 lgG allergies to several things I would have to give up, so it would be an uphill battle, there, too.

    Fatty beef gives me my Macronutrients fat and protein and eggs and liver give me my micronutrients simply put. Bacon provides me joy

    Hi Kait. This is my Carnivore meal plan. I also eat from 2pm to 6pm. But I do drink black coffee in the morning. Okay here goes.
    1. 4 oz. Beef liver.
    2. 10 whole eggs.
    3. 16oz chicken breast.
    5. 5 slices of thick cut bacon
    6. 1 8oz Hamburger patty
    7. 2 sasauge links. 4oz each.
    8. 1 4 oz pork chop.
    9. 8oz steak.
    I am 50. 6ft 3in. 195lbs. I'm told I look 30. I lift weights 3 x a week. Cardio 3 x a week. I have more stamina then most men my age. And my Labido is incredible. No help needed there. My BF% is 16%. NUTRITION is the key to EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

    Oh my!! Thank you so much!! I’ve been doing this all wrong. Always needed a larger breakfast (my main meal) but was never (satisfied-full). Knowing 4-6 eggs is not excessive will make a huge difference!!

    These cereal eaters at a mining exploration camp asked why I got up so early, and I told them it was to cook breakfast. They asked what had. When I told them thick cut rump steak 1 kg, 10 eggs, and 8 whole rashers of bacon with eyes and a big mug of black tea, they were very taken a back.

    I’m a type 1 diabetic. I’ve been doing it for 6 days now. I’m literally taking a small fraction of insulin that I used to take. This feels too good to be true.

    Get your butcher to mince/ground some liver up for you and mix with your hamburger patties or mince.

      ive asked about ten different butchers to do that for me , they all said no , it will ruin their mincer they say . so i just chop it up real nice and add to mince myself , you can barely taste the liver .

    I was actually brought up eating liver. Love it. I also love eating chicken hearts and chicken gizzard 😊 I think I may have missed the electrolyte supplement as I been feeling fatigued.

    I have always cooked two eggs only, for thirty years. At cafes in Australia and the UK, it is always only two eggs with your bacon, never one or three. How interesting that is the same where you are.

    What is Coach Kait's opinion of Macadamia nuts given the high amounts of oleic acid (omega-9), palmitoleic acid (omega-7), perfect Omega-3:6 balance and it being very high in saturated fat; which keeps it from going rancid when roasted?

    Great video for beginners, very simple. Awesome! But I would encourage you to look into the subject regarding whether or not organ meats are unnecessary on this diet. There’s some interesting information regarding how lions at a zoo were being fed raw steaks, and they all got sick until organ meats were introduced into their diet. Dr. Paul Saladino has some amazing information on this. Good call on letting people know that there are liver tablets for supplements, though! I don’t know if you caught this, but the link that you gave people has a liver supplement with kelp in it. I don’t think there’s any problem with adding that, but I just thought I would let you know.

    For breakfast I do 4 eggs 2 ribeyes for lunch I do beef liver or salmon and I don’t eat dinner often but if I do it’s just more steak or fish

    I'm slowly transitioning into eating more and more carnivore and i'm feeling so good on it. I think i may be consuming a liiiittle bit too much dairy though, as I enjoy my coffee very creamy... I'll tackle that if I feel the need to :P

    I still think certain veggies that are mostly for taste are good, like onions, caprice, fermented red beats, salty fermented cucumbers... things one use in raw beef / beef tartar recipes... but I will not lots of raw veggies or cook them... but things that are simply there to make the meat recipes tastier I find good :)

    What are you supposed do if you don't get hungry? Pretty much all my life I haven't except in the most extreme situations felt hungry. Therefore I don't find eat when your hungry works any suggestions?

    for a man on the lower end of the healthy weight spectrum, am i going to need to force feed a bit to avoid losing weight? Or do I just need to make sure I'm eating fatty cuts? losing weight def wouldn't be my goal. also, something i've been wondering. is this a healthy diet for ppl with a sedentary lifestyle or at least ppl who aren't physically active? obviously that's unhealthy anyway, but would you advise this diet to someone who probably wasn't going to get much exercise at the same time?

    I had gastric bypass. Really don't have hunger per say. Just get weak. Also I can only eat 1 cup of food at a time. I am active so the surgeon recommended 90 grams protein a day minimum. Thoughts and advice?

      Lunch meat is ok. Cheese is good but worth cutting out if you have weight loss goals.

    I can do a 3 day water fast easily, even a 3 day dry fast. For some reason the first 3 days on the carnivore diet has been rough. Hopefully your video will help me to stay on it. Thanks

    I’m curious about this approach. So fat loss is out the window if you’re not tracking your meals? Overeating can put you in a Calorie surplus which will make you gain weight regardless of diet approach.

    Hi Kait, just recently discovered your channel & am very interested in the carnivore diet, especially having never cared much for vegetables anyway, having forced myself to eat them. Question; I take a number of vitamin supplements, including C, D-3 , Magnesium, Potassium, Fish oil & B-100. Is there any downside to taking them on the carnivore, or ok to continue with them?

      No harm, but as John said fish oil quality can be pretty iffy. Cod liver or krill are a safer bet. I have a video comparing the 3 🙂

      @@HealthCoachKait - Thanks! You guys may be right on most supplements, but my potassium is prescription to prevent kidney stones I'm prone to, and magnesium was also recommended by my doctor. I'm going through all your videos now, but wasn't sure if you can get all vitamins needed from meats.

      You could probably replace the B vitamin with liver and eggs on this diet honestly. And you will be getting more fat soluble nutrients from meat as well. It would be a great compliment to an already good supplement stack. Only thing I would add is vitamin K2. Myoxcience has a D3 and K2 vitamin I take. It’s 5000 iu vit D and 90mcg of K2 which is really good amounts for the price in my opinion.

      TheGoodwolfe come to think of it, K2 might help the kidney stones as well, it helps minerals go to your bones instead of soft tissues. Just a conjecture, I am not an expert.

    Hi, I love your videos, they're really helpful! I started carnivore about a week ago and so far so good. The only problem I have is a loss of appetite. Sometimes, my body just doesn't want any food - even the thought of eating repulses me, even though I feel I'm really hungry. If I wait it out, I just get sick from being hungry but I still can't eat. It's pretty unpleasant and I don't know what to do about it. I don't want to lose weight either, I'm a normally skinny girl. Any ideas?

      What are you eating? Maybe mix it up a bit more, fish instead of steak when you're feeling like that. Do you tolerate dairy? Adding some cheese to your meals will help keep calories up.

      Yep! Unfortunately all the salmon roe in Australia is from farmed salmon so I can't get it easily 😭

      The Wanderer Of Wessex I think honey is a good sugar substitute. Black tea with milk is ok. And (in my opinion) spices and herbs are ok (I’m not sure though)

      @@klaudia711 What I love about eating one meal a day diet (Which I have been doing for a while now) is that it's much easier to restrict yourself eating and eat what you like once a day instead of restricting what you eat a few times a day. I don't want to be a puritan when it comes to diet because there are just too many foods I do love to eat, and I find certain diets make you quite anti-social when it comes to eating with friends and family etc

    Help me please, I am on a carnivore diet and I need a cup of coffee every morning and normal British type tea throughout the day but I put milk in it, I can't have it without milk and I use Half fat semi skimmed milk, how many grams of carbs per day can I have to stay in ketosis.

    Ok you got my attention. I would like to try this diet. the problem with me is that I had a liver transplant about 8 years ago. I need to lose a little weight and doctors say I'm pre diabetic. I need to do something to fix this. also have high cholesterol. I wouldn't know where to start on this diet or if I need to cook in an over or can I fry the meat? if I can fry my steaks what kind of oil do I use ect. So many questions but can't find answers.

    I often are not hungry in the evening but I eat anyway. I found out if I don´t eat then I wake up after two hours sleep and are really hungry. That I avoind with Eating dinner. So I eat three meals a day

    I disagree with the snacking bit. I eat until I'm full, and I already eat 60-99% animal based every day, but between meals I get very hungry, and might snack. Beef jerky or bacon are my favorites though. But still, my metabolism is insane, and I feel like I'm constantly hungry and I try to eat between 3,000 to 6,000 calories a day (depends on what I eat exactly).

    I’ve been doing this for about two months. I already had reached my goal weight when I started this my issue is I am so tired all the time I’m doing 80 ounces of water a day I do electrolytes every day I do magnesium potassium D3, fish oil it has helped my arthritis I am 80 it has helped with an issue I had with mucus constantly coughing it up that has subsided by 90%, it has stopped a cough that I’ve had forever and no one could figure out why I have gotten some good results. It’s just I don’t understand why I’m so tired I’m not exercising I don’t care if I ever leave my house and that’s not who I was I do a steak every day or hamburger I do eggs I do cheese I do butter my snacks are already cooked up bacon bits that I did myself, can anybody help what am I missing before this? I was riding 75 miles a week on my bike I kayak I do the treadmill I do some Pilates and it’s like everything‘s come to a dead halt. I’ve been watching stuff and trying to read, but every time they talk about tired it’s because you don’t get enough water or electrolytes, both of which I know I’m doing just fine and I know I’m getting plenty to eat help

    Weird thing for me, since i started eating liver everyday, eggs aren't sitting that well for me anymore.
    Maybe I'm just too used to how steak sits after I eat that sucker.
    One week in, and I am just about to up my portion size of liver.

      I love liver but have been warned off eating it every day as it’s so high in Vitamin A which is toxic in large amounts. Is this a consideration for you?

      Nope, I doubt you can get enough with diet.
      I have been on 3-5 x the rda before decades ago to help with skin back then.
      That was for 3 months solid.
      You'll never get that much on liver, really who will eat more than 100-150 grams in a sitting, no need.

    I need an idea for coffee for my 70 year old mom who I have gotten to give carnivore/keto a try. Her coffee which consists of coffeemate creamer and truvia artificial sweetener is the issue she can’t go without. I guess almond milk for creamer would work, but I need an approved sweetener that won’t do any harm and in my opinion they all pretty much suck , any ideas ?

    My plan currently involves 6 extra large eggs, 3 cans of sardines (almost 9oz) and some tipe of meat (cured ham, ground beef, etc) every day. I'll start eating steak as soon as I get an air fryer 🤤🥩

      ​@@dorsetboronia4551 Ninja is a good brand. I could get the Ninja Foodi on Amazon but I'm waiting for the Instant Pot Duo Crisp to be available in my country. Both are pressure cookers with multiple cooking options - air fry, bake, broil, roast, sear, steam, sautée, dehydrate, slow cook and pressure cook, but the Instant Pot is cheaper, lighter, consumes less energy and has a stainless steel inner pot

      @Sylphadora Ummmm! I didn’t realise they were combined with pressure cooker feature. That doesn’t thrill me at all, frankly. I was given one for a wedding present. Everything ended up on the ceiling. Ha! Ha! Treat pressure cookers with deep suspicion. So will look out for a deep fryer only. I have a Sunbeam slow cooker for my bone broth. I love that. All it does is slow cook. I am in Australia. (Btw love your name Sylphadora. - Very clever)

      @@dorsetboronia4551 The Ninja Foodi is a multi cooker, but Ninja has another appliance called the Ninja Foodi *Grill* and that's just an air fryer. I think it's the one Kait has. Instant Pot also has an appliance called the Vortex Plus that's just an air fryer, so you can get just the air fryer 😉
      I think the multi cooker is safe enough, though. I haven't heard of anyone ever having an accident with the Instant Pot or the Ninja Foodi

      As far as I am aware, the only reported cases of vit A toxicity were from supplementation.

      You will have to monitor your blood sugar very closely because your need for insulin will decrease as soon as you cut the carbs.
