*I lost 120 pounds in 2018 on a Carnivore Diet, I maintained that in 2019. In 2020 I struggled with some weight gain and then lost it again in 2021. For the last few years I have been maintaining a healthy weight. In December 2022 I had skin removal surgery (tummy tuck). This channel just documents all of that journey and how our family lives normal lives and eats a meat based diet.

Tried this little no… did n😅t work
Wow stupid people
As a seasoned strict carnivore, I still find so much joy and practical tips in your cooking videos. You are probably one of the very few famous/established carnivore channels whose cooking and grocery prep videos I follow loyally. Thank you and your family for being such a bright light for the carnivore community.
❤️❤️ thank you!!
I couldn't agree more!!!
Do U speak Spanish?
I think it’s interesting that people look for Carnivore recipes to taste just like the foods they leave behind. Laura gets tips and fresh ideas on foods that are intended to be included in the Carnivore diet.
I’m down 195 pounds doing the carnivore diet! I’m at a good weight now! Took a little over a year
That's a lot to lose in a year!! Awesome job!!
That is incredible! Good for you.
That’s very impressive. How did you do it?? I would like to lose weight, but I’m confused on what to eat and when!!!
that's like my wife + child you lost in weight!
@@paulettejackson1767 eating right and sticking to the diet and going to the gym everyday
I feel like the thin sliced rounds of provolone will work fine. Just stack them all up and place in mini skillet. So jealous of a place that has mostly clean ingredients. Just real food. Can't even imagine.
It is so infuriating that the US food supply is so crappy. I've been to many European countries and everything is fresh and clean. There isn't a bunch of junk in their foods. It is so hard finding things that are not adulterated here in the US. We have so much land and the ability to farm healthy, yet Europe does it so much better and clean and local. Grrrrrrr.
yah, well they did as currently they are under attack by the EU woke lot demanding farmers are destroyed re CO2 Bullshit plandemic of hunger coming for all of us if we don't fight the bastards.
It isn't "better." It isn't that the US is incompetent or doesn't know how to do it, or that Europe figured something out no one else is aware of. It is with INTENT that they do this in the US. It is big food companies, industrial farming companies, and pharmaceutical companies aligned with the FDA, the USDA, and the CDC. They all scratch each other's backs with campaign donations, private investments, exclusive contracts and kickbacks to pump us full of poison and keep us sick.
Europe is facing food shortages and it's about to get massively worse, so I wouldn't glorify what they are doing. Starving their people isn't better than poisoning them. Decide which way you want to be screwed, I guess. They also have power shortages all over the country because of (bad) green policies, as well as being subservient to Russia to supple their power.
It isn't a conspiracy theory, it's just a conspiracy. The idea is to make people so starved and/or so sick, combined with a massive economic crisis (and another COVID type scare) that everything becomes a regional-globalist-model dependency state. Climate change is one of the ways they are going to create shortages of red meat, and taking away land ownership rights will keep people from herding privately.
Traveled to Sweden and when we got off the plane we were shocked by the 7-11 in the airport. The salad bar was incredible and plenty of fresh fruit and healthy drinks!!
They try hard to ruin our food too. I saw once "vegan ice cream" it's so much sh*t inside! But in Poland we still like meat. I hope it will not change a lot because of "vegan children" ;)
Right? Ugh. Plus eggs and dairy and even meat and most foods don’t like me but so much better quality there 😮
There's nothing better than cooking and eating as a family. Cherish one another. Salud.
They don’t refrigerate eggs in a lot of other countries because they don’t remove the bloom from the egg. The bloom or cuticle covers the egg naturally when it’s laid by the chicken. If you remove that bloom by washing the eggs, you will have to refrigerate the eggs as they will spoil. Regarding the milk, some countries use a different pasteurization process than the U.S. does. This allows them to store milk at room temperature.
Fascinating!
Exactly. I had to tell my husband this when he tried to convince me our Sam's Club (in the US) bought eggs didn't really need to be refrigerated because his friends keep their eggs (fresh from their own chickens) just on their counter.
If you wash the eggs, you create an expiration date. It's all about the money in the US. They actually put an expiration date on food that is a natural preservative like tomato juice.
Thats interesting, good to know.
We are in Texas and have never refrigerated our eggs OR butter.
You can make ‘ravioli’ from slices of provolone! Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; place cheese slices on the pan and fill with a spoonful of pre cooked/hot ground beef or other finely diced meat, fold over so edges meet and pinch to seal, place in 325° F oven just long enough for cheese to soften (not quite melted). Oh my!!! I’ll have to try your melted version!
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing your Spanish adventure with us!!!
I have been watching different videos about the Carnivore diet.
I am 425 pounds and need to lose weight, and I have a bad hip because of my weight. I am frustrated because I can't even exercise because of my hip. They say I need surgery, but I have to lose weight to do so. In my mind, I feel that if I lose weight, I will be able to walk normally again, maybe even run.
I appreciate this video and maybe consider going on this carnivore diet.
Thank you
I’m leaving Spain in a few hours. Been here on the Camino. Can’t wait to get home for a great ribeye. The food here is so clean as you said. But I’m ready to get back to carnivore cooking. I even miss fried eggs and bacon. Keep enjoying your time here
Married to an Argentinian. For Provoleta in the USA, your deli or supermarket may look at you funny when you ask for the ultra thick cut of provolone, but they will eventually do it. Typical seasonings include dried parsley, red and black pepper, and sometimes oregano. Throw it in the broiler for a few minutes until it's bubbling and gets lightly browned on top is all it takes.
I’m new to carnivore and your videos are so helpful ❤
What an opportunity....enjoy to your fullest. Thanks for thinking of us back in the US and sharing your experience.
Us egg yokes that are almost orange are pasture raised, where they can pick on the grass and scratch up bugs and worms to eat
This 💯. The depth and “saturation” of the orange 🍊 that a yolk shows is what betrays or bolsters its ill/good repute.
You have to be careful with that assumption because there is stuff they sometimes put into the chickens food that causes the yolk to be orange as well. I have seen cheap eggs that said ‚fed with soy‘ and their yolks were so orange reddish it looked fake.
I have also bought eggs from a farm that had the chickens roam free and their yolks were sometimes more orange sometimes just yellow but never as orange as these supermarket eggs that I previously mentioned.
I ordered from LMNT a few months ago and the other day a sample of their new seltzers showed up. They are so kind. My husband really likes the seltzers for mixed drinks. ❤❤❤
I’m just having my second one. The cherry lime was FANTASTIC!! Now I’m having watermelon and I’m surprised at how well I like it (I don’t care for the taste of the watermelon LMNT packet).
@@MightyMeatyHealth I got the seltzers also...yes the cherry lime is FANTASTIC!
Where can you buy the Seltzers?@@MightyMeatyHealth
Instead of buying meat from the supermarket, try to find a local butcher. It will be about the same price but you'll get a lot more for your money and you get a lot of bonuses if you're a regular!
We keep our fresh eggs from our chickens out on the counter at room temperature as well (south Texas).
So much fun seeing what you discover to eat in Spain!! And how awesome that your whole family is able to join you there. What an amazing homeschool opportunity!!!
So happy for you and your family having this great experience in Spain 😊
Thank you so much for this helpful information. And for filming in Spain! I loved the tip about using a piece of your beef fat to cook your chicken. I don't have an air fryer or plan on getting one. However, I am adapting your recipes!
I lived in Madrid for over 1 year. I loved to see Parque de El Retiro. Enjoy your stay, love from FLORIDA
Very beautiful and delicious video! Thank you! & For Your time'
Love these beautiful meals. Hoping to go There one day myself and experience eating healthier.
Yes, we do see orange-yellow yolks here in the US. But only if they're pasture raised. I buy my organic, pasture raised eggs at Sam's. They're less than $5 for 18. 😊😊😊
Great idea with the provolone and ribeye or hamburger patty.
Hi Laura! Glad to see you & your family are adjusting so well! If you like feta, try it in your scrambled eggs...so yummy! Many blessings to you all ❤🇨🇦
Am sooo super happy for you and your family to be together in Madrid!! Enjoy its a once in a lifetime opportunity.. grocery shopping is a challenge at best but you’re learning the ins/outs.. wish I could be there..my honey traveled internationally, he loved Barcelona then Malta… I wasn’t able to go with him but pictures just didn’t do Justice.. love that daughter is in the kitchen now learning.. will last her a life time.. soon Chris needs to have son cooking as well. Sorry you don’t have a grill outside..I do love the grill as well. I can’t tolerate the smoke.. ❤❤❤❤
Loved all the incredible meals. What a wonderful opportunity for your precious family!
You look like you and your family have acclimated well 😊. That cheese dish looks scrumptious. The milk and eggs on a rack would be quite a surprise!
Great video Laura. I’m glad you guys are really enjoying your time in Spain. I’m really looking forward to our trip there in September. We will try Restaurant Botin in Madrid! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍👍
What a great video! Very well done. Nice production. Very interesting to see you adapting to Madrid and the variety of foods there. Thank you.
Me encantó este episodio, Laura. I am from Barcelona, but I have family in Madrid. Your comments are funny about the kitchen and other idiosincracies.
Thank you for sharing this information
Enjoy your trip ❤ Your information is very helpful to me since I have just been on this program for a week.
Thanks for the good ideas. Good to know you’re on locals.
I just learned from one of the carnivore podcasters @big Man, Alaska that, you can make soft boiled eggs or hard boiled eggs in an air fryer.
I have a small air and I put 2 eggs in it on 250 for 10 minutes and honestly they tasted better than boiling water on the stove and dropping them in it . Soooo goood. We haven’t had a stove for about three months because we remodeling our kitchen, living room and second bedroom. So we’ve been living out of the master bedroom for that long .
These were the instructions that were given for about 20 eggs, but I have a small air fryer so I just made 2 eggs,…one for my dog and one for myself. And it was so delicious..
I make my own butter with one stick of regular butter that melts down to a half cup and 1/2 cup of carrington Farms, refined coconut oil. It has less of a coconut flavor and it mixes well with the butter. And then a half teaspoon of Redmond salt..
So everything is in halves
1 stick of butter 1/2cup
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 tsp. Redmonds salt .
Mix and refrigerate till hardened.
Soooo good
It appears that you and your family have transitioned well. I bet you miss Spain once you go home. I lived in Germany for 3 years once, and it changed my perspective on life for the better.
It is awesome to be able to revisit Madrid with you! I stayed in the Rastro area for a couple months last fall. My apartment overlooked the street market every Saturday. Thanks for sharing.......and yes......the eggs there as well as most other countries are far better and never refrigerated.
Laura, I love your channel. I lived in Spain 12 years, I’m from the uk. I’d recommend you to visit Barcelona, amazing history and culture. Granada, and the Alhambra palace, Amazing history and Gibraltar, a little bit of England in the south of Europe, incredible especially the rock xxx
So great to see your experiences in Spain! What an adventure. Cheers!
That provolone cheese in the oven looked wonderful. I don’t think I caught what temperature you cooked it on. please share as I’m eager to make some for my husband and myself
❤ I very much enjoyed watching all the differences between USA & Spain! The food looks delicious & your whole family has this healthy glow to your skin!
I have purchased one of those thermometers and am going to try my first airfryer steak. I can't find chuck steak here though so need to find out what it's called here.
Thank you for sharing your life with us! I really appreciate your no-nonsense way of cooking a healthy lifestyle for your family.
How exciting and a great experience for your family. ❤😊
Thank you for sharing your life with us I love watching you plan your meals and cook them. You inspire me to continue this way of eating. Your daughter is so pretty❤
Always love watching your videos. Wish I was there - looks wonderful ❤. You look so refreshed too. It must be good for you :)
I love your cooking videos! It is such a treat to see what you are able to find in the grocery store in Spain. The view from your balcony is lovely. Chris’s New York strip and the marbled pork look amazing!
I love how simple everything is. This way of eating is for me!
Thanks for the youtube vid! I've missed you! Hope you're all having a great time.
what a fun "travelog" accompanying your carnivore recipes. The last time I was in Madrid was 1968
All your stuff looks great. I like beef almost raw so I dont have a crust. Which I guess is probably good.
🤩 Thank you, Laura. So enjoy your videos and your cooking videos
Everything looks sooo delicious!!!😋 ❤
Welcome to Spain!! We are living in Malaga!’
Great ideas for dinners. We fulltime RV traveled for 2 years and that tiny kitchen brought back memories of having to move lots of stuff around to cook every meal.It surprises me that you're getting your meat at a grocery store. I have never been to Europe but I have this image in my head of local markets and buying straight from the butcher. Did you ever find any of those spots while you were there?
Really enjoyed that video ….it almost makes you want to live in Spain or overseas!! Europe is well known for not having all the chemical preservatives that America uses. Italy is especially famous for such clean, original made meats, cheeses, eggs, dairy, etc. I think that’s why they don’t get so fat in Italy. I’m sure Spain is the same. By the way, the green and white top at the very beginning of your video. Looks really good on you! Color looks really good on you, those dinners look delicious
I use my air fryer to cook my steaks and I freeze them first and cook on grill 245 degrees for 6 minutes per side. Love it! So happy to see you thriving in Madrid. Try Lidl for fatty ribeyes, in the uk they are the fattiest you can find.
Provoleta recipe for the oven, please!! 😊 ❤️ ❤️
You are rockin’ it girl! I find it very interesting to see the different meat selections available and I imaging there was a bit of a learning curve to it! Tsmfs be safe
Awesome video Laura! I was wondering if you could make a video about the cost of living in Spain as an american, specially focusing on the food cost.
I'm moving to Spain with my family and I haven't found any carnivores in Spain other than you guys. I would like some insight to budget accordingly. Thanks for the awesome content!
Loved this video so much I watched it through twice!! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!!
Loved all the local scenes!! Thanks
I remember in one you tube where you commented that golden yolks were possibly because ranchers fed their chickens marigolds and you were not going to pay extra for that and therefore bought standard eggs as opposed to pasture raised! I always buy pasture raised eggs here in the USA and we always enjoy dark golden egg yolks.
That's funny.😂 Marigolds! Lol! Alfalfa and other greens give my chicken's eggs a nice rich color.
Spain, like the majority of the world, uses Daylight Savings Time. Since Arizona does not, you're used to earlier sunsets. It's very typical for the sun to set around 9pm this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere. 😊
AZ doesn't need or want daylight savings time
Hello from Australia. So the reason the eggs are kept in the fridge in some countries is because they wash them. Eggs naturally have a membrane on the outside of the shell which allows them to be kept out of the fridge however if they are washed the membrane is removed which makes the shell porous so then they have to be kept in the fridge. :) Love your content Laura.
All of those meals looked DELICIOUS!! Love the cheese idea! I’m doing Keto right now but I like watching these carnivore videos and seeing how creative cooking meat can get.
Adobo is such a great seasoning! Im half Puerto Rican so that was a staple in our pantry growing up and still is! Have you tried Sazon? Another great seasoning 😁
The black Iberian pigs graze on acorns free range…a very large portion of the pork in Spain is imported from Portugal!
You make everything look so easy and delicious…what an adventure you and your beautiful family are having! Happy Mothers Day
Such an awesome video, Laura. And, what a wonderful experience for your family. ❤❤
No doubt its much more effort making videos over there with all thats going on at once. Special thanks for giving us this view into life there. Oh, and for big orange egg yolks, when you get home go find some fresh duck eggs. Besides the color, they are larger and quite tasty. Here in the Midwest, they are quite available.
Oh man, so jealous of the quality of products there compared to here! Going to have to take a trip to Spain.
It's pretty amazing how you guys have adapted to all the changes/challenges of not being home. I'm surprised you haven't found Goya products in Spain. Also, the beautiful color of the eggs was the first thing I noticed. You only find that color here in farm eggs and eggs from pastured raised chickens. I purchased "cage free" eggs for the first time in a million years for cost reason and I must say, that pale yellow yolk was a huge disappointment. And yes, I'm aware "cage free" means absolutely nothing. Looking forward to more "from Spain" videos. It's absolutely beautiful there.
The color is from marigold flowers, it doesn't necessarily make the eggs any healthier. As long as the chickens are farm or pasture raised free range chickens, you are getting the best eggs (marigold included in their diet or not).
Always buy pasture raised and you won’t be disappointed in the color of the yolks.
@@matthewmitchell5721 As someone who has raised chickens, I can tell you that our lovely orange yolks were not from marigolds, it was because our chickens were free to roam and eat fresh grass along with whatever bugs they found.
Lamb loin chops from frozen in the air fryer are my goto .... from frozen it slows the centre from overcooking, while the air fryer has time to crust up the outside. Works well with frozen T-bone also
Life in Madrid looks pretty wonderful and the scenery is beautiful. Thank you for the cooking tips - definitely will try getting 1/2" cut of Provolone. Check your Adobo label for MSG.... some have it. Thank you for sharing, Laura!
As a newly carnivore, I really appreciate these videos! Thank you for the great ideas. Now I want to buy some thick provolone 😋
I do too want to purchase some . I want their clean food items as well here in the US . What a fine experience to be residing in Spain ❤🎉🎉
I'm pretty sure you put the milk in the fridge once opened. That's how it is in brasil anyway.
Yes! Once opened it must be refrigerated!
Blessings blessings always
When I was listening to the CATG podcast you were not a fan of air fryer steak. lol. I can hear Judy laughing. I am so glad the transition is going well.
Wow, I now feel like I’ve (almost) been to Spain. Thanks for these yummy recipes. 😃❤️
I know Laura and her family are a gift .
Oh, it so much fun watching you from Spain‼
Oh, I have very aged 🇨🇦provolone in the fridge….thank you for the inspiration….I will bake it and melt it, too!
What are your Spanish meat prices, even in 💶Euros⁉
You are enjoying the trip of a lifetime‼Enjoy‼
Gladys🇨🇦Toronto🇨🇦Canada🇨🇦
Lovely video! Gracias
Thank you for taking us on this great adventure. Love seeing the food. Can you tell us the prices for the food?
I would be interested in seeing a shopping trip in Madrid. And their prices compared to ours!
Thank you for this look at how you do the carnivore diet. The differences between US and Spain re what is allowed re food products is very interesting.
Loved this video! Love seeing your city surroundings and different meat cuts. Would love to see a trip to local markets, meatshop, tappas bar.
Hiya I'm in Malaga in a small village called Alcaucin. The butcher's opened 3 time's a week and there's only a few local shops no big stores.
What I would like to know is what do you have to drink with your meals and during the day. I'm on alot of medication 💊 28 tablets a day so I need to drink plenty fluids.
When we lived in Spain, my favorite meat was pork chops. So much better there than in the USA. I would go to the market and have them cut fresh at the meat counter, bring them home and fry them in a skillet with olive oil and seasoned with salt, pepper and oregano. You are right, their food is so much cleaner than in the states! I had a hard time transitioning back to the food when we returned to the USA after a couple of years. And yes, it does stay light much later there. In June you will notice that it's still light after 10:30pm.
Have a fabulous time in Madrid!!
Leaving eggs at room temp is ok for unwashed eggs. They will last for weeks that way. Grocery store eggs in the US have the bloom washed off, and they will spoil quickly at room temp.
Im loving the Spain videos. Can t wait for the next one.
Thanks for sharing!! Loved it!!😍
Laura I’ve watched you and many others and I can’t stay in the mindset. Is there any tips for that?
Thank you so much for sharing these… I live in Mexico and it’s hard to deal with meat that’s so different. I’d appreciate knowing the names of these cuts of meat next time bc they sell a lot of meat from Spain over here. But I don’t understand the names of the cuts even though I’m very fluent in Spanish. LOVE this!!
Love to see the kids and teaching us how you cook. I am so new at learning how to cook all this meat. Even burned bacon last night….lol
I'd love to know how the prices for meat in Spain generally compare to prices in your home city in the US. Great video - thanks for all the helpful and delicious ideas!
What about hot dogs??
I need to lose some "pandemic" & "divorce" weight I am carryin' around.
I'm binge watching some of your videos with my dad.
Thank you my goodness those cuts of meat look fabulous! Enjoy your time in Spain! Cheers
Hey Laura first of All great content ! Is there any Chance you share your Thermometer brand etc? Thanks and enjoy europe
In Portugal they don’t typically age their meat. So, it is a bit different in flavor.
Laura, I love watching your videos. For one dinner you mentioned cooking chicken drumsticks at 400F. I’ve never cooked drumsticks at that high a temperature. How long do you cook them for? And by the way, eggs don’t have to be refrigerated if they’re not washed because they have a protective coating. They have to be refrigerated in the US because the coating is washed off. Oh and that oven cooked provolone looks amazing! I think I have the perfect little pan to try it in.
I usually don't eat pork, except for the "secreto iberico" that I found tasty. In Spain you have to try lamb, cordero, which is quite popular. I agree that generally here in Spain, Europe, the ingredients list are cleaner than in the US due to the EU regulations
