On New Year's Day 2025 I will be on American Airlines Premium Economy between London Heathrow and Miami - 10 hours. I opted for Premium Economy rather than Business Class because this is a daytime flight and I won't need the flat bed experience. I am looking forward to comparing my trip with yours. Thanks for your review, I enjoyed it.

I love your channel! I also have food allergies which makes traveling a struggle. Can you talk about how you travel with allergies and dietary restrictions? Interested in learning how y’all communicate in non-English speaking countries (or even in the US 😅).

Yes!! Sorry you deal with it too. It’s really tough.
For non English speaking countries, writing out a word for word translation in the language explaining the severity of the allergy and keeping it in the notes app to share with servers is very helpful! We only had to pull it out once when they were unsure! Otherwise, they were very accommodating and understanding!

You can fill out food allergy information when you book your flights! If you’re paying for premium economy or higher you can preselect from different meal options so that you can avoid your allergy

The ONLY true benefit of paying for AA Premium Economy is the space. Period. Everything else is the same as economy. That said, a long flight is worth paying the extra money for those seats.

I totally agree, the subtle other differences don’t move the needle but the seats themselves are honestly great!

I doubt if the headphone sare noise cancelling that cost about $ 450.00. They are probably noise defeating that are drastically less effective that are worth about $50.00 . Noise defeating is like a set of home stereo sound system headphones that you buy at Walmart . Noise canceling totally block out noise with advanced technologies. Most pilots use noise cancelling headsets with a microphone that cost about $1,300,00.

Honestly such a good point. they did canceled some noise but maybe not all of it. good call out!

Not sure the extra $1000 bones are worth the upgrade.

I feel that. We payed with points and it cost us 30,000 points each if I'm remembering right. When the Basic Economy tickets would have cost us 15,000 points. It's kinda hard to give advice as far as a dollar amount goes for when it becomes worth it to upgrade. In general the premium Economy upgrade was very with it for us!

@@LuandChan I flew AA economy aisle seat from Frankfurt to Atlanta (10 hrs) a few years ago had no issues with the seat or size of it. Only braindead thing I did was not figure out there were more than 3-5 shows to watch on the seatback entertainment center. 🤣

Uhm... you literally start the video with eating a freaking tree nut... where do you think chocolate comes from?

I’m not allergic to chocolate but I do have a severe tree nut allergy.
