    I just found your channel and I’m super impressed with your knowledge and how well you talk through your builds. Thanks

    Definitely do a track bar and steering video

      Will do, after I finish up the coilover tower video I’m working on right now.

      I’m gonna try to work on one soon I’m getting a video going on doing hydro assist and will probably do it after I am done 🤙🏻

    My man, where did you get the “shear bracket” that you used on top of the heim joints on the steering knuckle ?

    • @KBWheelin
      @KBWheelin  ปีที่แล้ว

      They come with the high steer arms from beyond precise. They guy is pretty cool give home a call you might be able to buy just the shear bracket but there not to hard to make

    Good video.
    Question I'm building semi traingulated 4 link on front axle on my samurai do i need track bar or not.

    • @KBWheelin
      @KBWheelin  ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as you have 40 degrees minimum of total triangulation. Then no need for a track bar.

      @@KBWheelin How to calculate 40 degrees minimum of total triangulation.
      any example.

      I have actually had a few people ask me that. I’m gonna make a video and post it today or tomorrow

    instead of using the offset hiem joint, could you not move it to the front hole on the high steer bracket? I have this same bracket and building my steering and have it in the front hole is the reason for the question

    • @KBWheelin
      @KBWheelin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I can’t. The distances from the ball joint to the hole needs to match the length of the pitman arm. If the hole father out was used it would cause issues like loss of steering radius or not being able to turn all the way to one side. Using the offset heim doesn’t change the pivot point so it has no effect on the steering geometry. What are you building? It’s possible you might be fine with the outer hole but it comes down to the pitman arm you are using.

    Also another thing people don’t mention and I don’t know because I e never owned a triangulated set-up is, if you drive your rig to the trails on the highway how well does a triangulated set-up work/act in normal street driving situations. Does it act and perform as well as a track bar set-up?

    • @KBWheelin
      @KBWheelin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In all honesty triangulated 4 links should preform better but it all comes back to the anti squat/dive as well as roll center. The design in a three link vs a 4 link isn’t much different and both when done wrong can give bad handling characteristics.

      @@KBWheelin thank you I have 3 link front and rear on mine may look into triangulated 4 link if I can package it

    • @KBWheelin
      @KBWheelin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The rear usually isn’t a problem for a 4 link and if a dual triangulated four like will fit it would be even better. But the front is usually were there is issues with packaging a 4 link with a factory chassis
