I have multiple library cards too and ran into the same issue on my Kobo. I made an overdrive account, associated all my cards, and logged into each card individually on my Kobo. I check out my books on Libby and, more often than not, they do show up on my Kobo. Maybe that will work for you? Great review! So refreshing to see e-reader reviews that aren’t for kindles.
Such a fun review! Thanks for sharing!! I have the samsung zfold and i bought it exclusively for the dream of it being both my phone and ereader and its been magical haha 🥰
The Poke5 is exactly the size and type I'm looking for but I'd also like to write and use it for productivity things. not a laptop level of productivity but just managing the calendar, note writing, check lists and things like that. Its hard to tell how well it will work but having google store at least measn I can access info on multiple devices, so i'm really leaning toward this one even if its underpowered compared to others.
Thanks for the review. Have you messed with the optimation of fonts app to app? Makes a mountain of difference in regard to enjoyment when you curate each app, especially turning off that awful bold font on the regular settings on apps. Always appreicate perspectives from different types of users/readers. You can shut off apps, wifi, bluetooth and you'll likely get much more time out of it.
I think my favorite thing about the Boox is how open it is. I have so many apps on there, like Google docs and bible study, and that's not something you can do with most ereaders
Thanks - Your setup was helpful to see, though you may want to cover your e-mail address. It sounds like your not the typical e-book reader just using Kobo, Nook or Kindle. I had never heard of Netgalley arc before. I never use highlighting, footnotes and notes.
May 2024. I was already sold on getting this and then the colored e- readers started blowing up. Now, I'm waiting to hear any news if Boox will be making a colored version of Poke 5. 😫
Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see. I don’t know if color would add anything to my personal reading experience but I can see how it would be great for manga and comic fans!
That’s almost the setup I currently have! (I also have a Libra H2O). I love both readers and I think deciding between the two really depends on how you want to use it. The Libra is quite a bit larger and doesn’t fit in my purse or Fanny pack the way the Poke does. The Libra works great with overdrive if you get ebooks from the library, but the poke is better if you get books from lots of different sources. The Libra is waterproof, but the poke has extendable storage. Let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you for this great review My Poke5 has a big problem Battery draining. When I don’t use it for a week , the battery percentage decreases from 90% to 10%. Something that is much less battery draining on my boox note air2 And on my Kindle devices (Oasis , Basic , Scribe and specifically on paperwhite ) never seen. I hope this battery issue be fixed by a new firmware update. How about yours? 🙏🙏🫡🫡🫡
I am not unfortunately. This model doesn’t have speakers, but I believe some of the kobo models have Bluetooth to connect to speakers and headphones and they work well with Libby!
I just received my brand new poke 5 today and these videos have been critical in helping me navigate the google play issue in particular. Thank you!
I’m glad it helped! I definitely needed video help setting up mine too. 😂😂

The SD card slot that the Poke5 has but Kobo doesn't have is what makes it not waterproof. Anyway, great review.

I love that!

Great review. Very comprehensive. I only heard of this brand today and I'm shopping around.
I need to know that bottle with staw is at the bottom corner at the 6 week check in, thank you 😍
It’s a yeti!

I use the Google Books app with the Poke 3 which is my favorite reading app and I haven't used anything else since.
thank you for your insightful review about this e-reader )
I own an ereader and still end up reading my ebooks on my phone 🤡 thanks for reviewing!
lol, I hate reading on my phone, but I also have the iPhone mini so it’s a v small screen 😂
Thank you for the vídeo! I was thinking about this purchase, and now I'm gonna wait a little more 😂
Oooh! I got the Boox Poke4 recently
I've also found that the Kindle app usually works better for ebooks than Libby, so that's how I've been sending my Libby ebooks to Kindle as well

Good tip! I’ll have to try that!
Great review! Thanks
Does it have dark mode?

Fhsnk you for the thorough review! Definitely covered all my questions :)
Happy to help, thanks for watching!

I’m thinking either getting the libra 2 or this boox 5. Which one would you choose if you had to choose?

I just ordered the Boox Palma. It’s the size of my iPhone.
How does the hoopla app works?
I've used Hoopla on a Boox Poke4 and it worked about as well as the hoopla app works on my phone
hey adriana, ure so pretty
Hi! Does anyone know if poke 5 admit Bluetooth keyboard? So we can make notes with it
Thank you for this great review

I’m just wondering if it has online translation to any language?
Does it work with Hoopla?
@@HeatherVelpula you can download the hoopla app on it, yes!
Are you located in Canada? I’m looking for an e reader that’s comparable with Libby audiobooks

Another ereader I've never heard of lol
Gosh, the "background" music is terrible! I'm sure this is an interesting review but can't continue watching (listening to) it.
It's a tablet, not an eReader, simples.
it is an eink tablet
@@dasugo Yes, a tablet, so we agree 👍
Awesome!
