29:14 I think that actually kinda flows well into the next scene. Even though more room to breathe would’ve helped, the whole “…but it has to be on my terms.” Quote works because maybe what you said might be true.
I saw MOS when it first came to the cinema and thought it was-GREAT !!! LOVED it. LOL. It gave me everything I wanted in a-SUPES-film and more. Zod is one of my favorite super villians ( Thanos is 2nd ) he went mad at the destruction of his home planet. You can understand his motivation, just not his methods ( turning Earth into a new Krypton ) Zod actually could've done this to any another planet in our solar system tho, but, then no final fight with Superman. Which the destruction is straight from a comicbook, but, shows the reality of 2 TITANS battling one another in an occupied city. This is easily the best Superman movie ever made, for me. IMHO. Oh,I forgot to mention the-AWESOME-sound-track. I listen to it almost every day.
I have similar feelings. I liked it very much back in the day, but the passage of time has been rough, and overall I don't think it has aged as well. My main issue with this movie has a name: Jonathan Kent. Despite it's understandable his overprotective attitude towards Clark, there's something that feels off. He seems so... detached, as if he saw Clark more like a burden rather than his son. Did he ever thought about Clark's mental sanity? Had he let everyone in the bus drown, Clark would be guilt-ridden and perhaps he would grow bitter and resentful. You just don't want a kid to carry that kind of guilt. Again, I understand Jonathan's fears, which were very plausible, but the infamous "maybe" was such a poor response. Instead, if he said something like "No, no. I want to make clear that you did the right thing, and your mom and I are very proud. But you must also understand that people... (proceeds to show the space pod and what it entails)" it would't feel as cynical and selfish. Clark didn't know Jor-El until he was an adult, so all the heroics he did before becoming Superman were thanks to his upbringing. But the way Jonathan was written doesn't seem to quite fit with it.
I liked this movie on release. I was 13 and a huge fan of the original Superman movie from the 70s. Even with all its flaws I will never forget the childlike wonder and excitement of seeing a new generation Superman adaptation on the big screen
you say this cause you're an MCU Fan boy. Dude I LOVE Batman v superman and Zack Snyder's Justice league and i ain't wrong for that. also Film is subjective
At last, the true directorial creative vision is upon us

Making Superman an allegory for Jesus is so corny to me💀
