@Virtualblueart I have to disagree, I spent a good 40%(not even Exaggerating, I was CONSTANTLY trying to kill claptrap💯💯💯) of playing borderlands shooting claptrap in the face. And it doesn't even do anything to him. He's just sooooo annoying that you hope maybe, just maybe, the 22848574737th bullet will somehow shut him up for good. And to the guy who made the video, this is one of those times you probably should have played the game, or at minimum, watch some play throughs💯💯💯.
Claptrap wasn't that bad in the first game, at least until the DLC, but it does feel like he's become increasingly more annoying with each game. Part of the problem is the over-reliance on bathos and thus has the Marvel problem of not taking anything seriously, which makes it difficult for the player to care about anything in the story.
Unfortunately Claptrap is the most accurate character to the source material, the whole point is that he's annoying and him getting shit on is comic relief.
That scene at 0:16 seconds, which is in the trailer is exactly why I hate modern trailers. Oh my God! A giant plant monster! And it’s going to swallow them! How in the hell are they going to get out of- oh never mind. They’re fine.
Game: There is no prophecy, there is no chosen one. Just a stubborn rumour about something amazing and valuable in a hidden alien vault opened by 3 artifacts. Plot: Everybody wants it, but the planet has gone completely nuts. Maybe because the presence of the artifacts drives people crazy (look at Tanis) or because the mega corps experimented on the entire population. Said Megacorps are as clueless as everybody else to where the vault is and so evil in their attempts to get to it that it's comedic by itself. Our dudes are trying their luck finding the vault but get embroiled in all kinds of shenanigans along the way meeting lots of memorable crazies. Lots of people die very, very, violently. In a cool comic book style. The movie has none of that.
AVI ARAD has ruined so far... * Borderlands * Daredevil (2003) * The Punisher (2004) * Elektra (2005) * Fantastic Four (2005) * X-Men: The Last Stand * Spider-Man 3 * Bratz (2007) * Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance * The Amazing Spider-Man 2 * Ghost in the Shell (2017) * Venom: Let There Be Carnage * Uncharted (2022) * Morbius And now he's gonna ruin... * Kraven the Hunter * Venom: The Last Dance * Legend of Zelda * Naruto As long Arad lives, there's no hope
hoo-WEE you were right, this was dreadful. Felt like they tried to go for a Guardians of the Galaxy / Mad Max: Fury Road compilation movie but the characters have no charisma and the world is a cheap, derivative wasteland with no flair to it. I've never seen anyone who wanted less to be in a movie than Jamie Lee Curtis in this lmao ...that being said the little interactions between Tina and Kreig were pretty wholesome and it was the only modicum of joy I felt throughout this
scarlet Johansson would of been a better fit for lillith... she's done a great job with that type of character as black widow and looks good with short red hair so the fact they didn't go with her as Lillith is a dissapointment
Subbed, you should DEFINITELY play BL 2 & 3,(with all the DLC and season passes with it), it's a fun experience that I think you'll enjoy WAY more than the film, the games and the lore is so fun to discover, and it's actually got beart, and it's entertaining. 💯🙂
I'd suggest 2 first, then one to fill in the original vaulties, but certainly play tales to fill in some much needed backstory on who they will meet in 3.
This is such a shame 😢. I love the games so much. When I heard the rumors of a movie coming out I was kinda excited. Then I saw the actors that were playing characters, and I lost all faith in this shit. How the fuck did they come up with Kevin Heart as Roland? None of these actors feel like the characters. I may hate the movie but I love watching all these videos shitting on it lol it deserves it.
Eh I liked it. I feel bad for fans tho, they waited years for this regurgitated stuff? It’s clear lionsgate knew this was a flop and wanted this out and to wash their hands of it. I also see that Eli took the money and ran back to make Thanksgiving. His best film.
unfortunately the level of quality you see in the Borderlands movie is comparable to the recent games. they haven't made anything good since Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Tales from the Borderlands. this was 10 years ago!
It was so forgettable I even forgot that Tiny Tina's Wonderlands came out only 2 years ago. Movies with long troubled production problems rarely turn out well and this is a movie that came out at least 5-6 years too late. As for the games I feel what made Borderlands successful in the late 2000's and early 2010's was the fact that co-op video games were few and far between at the time so it filled a needed niche but there are a lot more options now both in indie gaming and AAA gaming.
I await a few weeks from now when the internet finds a new "worst movie ever" to get mad at and forgets all about this, only to do the same on loop because we are not original. NOTE: the preceeding statement does not involve me defending Borderlands as a film.
Yes heaven forbid an actress act. I’m not defending the casting, but your reasoning for why it was bad is ludicrously off point. Can’t expect much cognitive ability from a furry of course but still.
While I feel the casting could have ideally been better I'll agree that many actors and actresses don't enjoy being typecast, and apparently a lot of the cast enjoyed getting to act outside the regular roles they tend to get. It would be interesting to see what the movie was like before the reshoots and heavy post-production edits as those likely played the biggest role in the movie's flop.
6:10 Sorry to say but you guessed wrong, claptrap being excessively annoying is extremely faithful to the source material.
At least unlike the movie he's annoying AND funny most of the time.
And can be ignored on most occasions.
😭😭😭

@@isaac_marcus why not follow it up with a Unrated Sly Cooper movie 😜

Do I love the Borderlands games? Yes
Will I ever see the movie? Never
Will I still watch this review? Grab me the popcorn and soda please.
I refuse to watch the movie, so instead I watch reviews lol
It’s okay, the bad movie is over.
You can go and play cult of the lamb to forget about it ^w^
Great work as always! I can and will be DMing you with a lore dump about Hammerlock and Jakobs! You cannot stop nor prevent this!! :D

love the two gay (honestly this gay is redundant. historically cowboys were gay af) space cowboy goobers

No it is not a disgrace. It is a tax write-off. The producer knew what he was doing. Read the IRS code on movie production losses. Then do your tube!
Clap trap is in fact the most annoying character in all of fiction. I was at his birthday party, i know.
I made the mistake of going to see this movie,I was bored to death.
the acolyte was only bad for people who haven't consumed any Star Wars media than the original trilogy

Play BL3 with the dialogue turned off or with the mod that removes every main story mission
It almost makes the Monster Hunter movie passable.
