Very nice. Just made this and it turned out great. I was glad you addressed the lining being tacked down since I wasn't liking the idea it wasn't sewn into the seams. But it was nice not to have to bind the seams inside. So fair trade! I really appreciate people like you that take the time to do these tutorials. Thank you.
I like the way your boxy bag is made because of the way that the outside and inside are seperate and then combined. I always have had problems getting the sides done completely with other patterns when doing them together. Cant wait to try this out! Also added the Sew Versa Table, and Grid Glider and even the quilt guide to my wish lists!
I need to ask you two questions please first I got a coupon but not sure how to use it to get he free pattern. 2nd. My son asks for very little. He asked me for this kind of bag 13” high by all 13” long and 3” deep. The zipper goes down on the sides and top of course. Silly me. . I just can’t figure how to make the calculations. Thank you.
Thank you for your amazing video tutorial. I signed up for your newsletters and entered the discount code I received for signing up and to buy this pdf pattern. However, it didn't go through. It states that "this discount code was already used" I don't understand it. It was my 1st time using the discount code. What did I do wrong? Thanks you for your response.
Hi Rosa, It looks like you download this pattern on February 4 You might wanna check your email from February 4 or do a search on your hard drive. I always recommend that you save your downloads to your hard drive so you can access them later.
Hi! Thanks for the tutorial. Can you clarify the size of the box corners template? On the pdf it says 2" x 2", but on the video it looked like you were doing 2" x 2.5". Is that because of the 1/2" seam allowance? Thanks!
why not sew the lining directly together on the outside? and why are you topstitch from the back? 🤔 I find this method unnecessarily long and complicated. moreover, with this construction, the lining will remain limp inside
I agree tho. This seems much more complicated than how I learned to make bags. Sewing the lining in at the end? That is wayyyy too much fidgeting for me under the presser foot. Good explaining on the video tho. But too much extra work for me. 😊

This method uses the drop in lining method. Many people prefer this method as opposed to the message you were referring to.
wow Peggy, This is simply another way of doing a lining. Many High End Bags have Drop in Linings.
