Please help me with the boxing of the corners. They never come out Even. I have to keep redoing them, so the bag is not lopsided. What is the trick to doing them right and easy. Thank you.

Margaret Bachmeier OH my goodness I just left a comment with the exact same issues I’m having making this bag. I made one tonight and it’s very uneven. The zipper also doesn’t close right. Please help me too.

@@margaretbachmeier5299 It might be easier to think of the corner like.........when you fold it to the point, right down the middle seam measure 1/2" down and draw you line across. it is the same as the other method, but instead of trying to keep a 1" on each side,. you just measure Down 1/2" and mark across. maybe that will help.

I knew there had to be a better way of boxing those corners. I made a small bag earlier, same design but from another channel. I got totally flustered when she cut the corners *before* stitching. I like this way much better. I think the key is to use thin lining fabric so those corners aren't too bulky.

I'm starting a small sewing/knitting/needlecraft class for the local community at Hope St, my local social services joint. Needless to say, there isn't much $$$ for fabric, so this tutorial and many others on your channel are a godsend for me as they don't use much fabric and I can source them from scraps from Hope St's op-shop. Indeed, your tutorials are travelling from your place, to my place, and into the hands of the homeless and disenfranchised at Hope St in Woolloomooloo, Sydney Australia - so, thanks a million, Jess! And please keep the scrappy projects coming! ;-)

omg thank you so much for this tutorial...I have been trying to get into sewing to help relax and you videos are really very well explained and thorough. I was finally able to make something. I have attempted to quilt and that is just daunting...this was the perfect project and the way you explain things in the video made me feel like it was something I could accomplish and I did....the little bag is so darn cute too...thanks again.

Tripped across your Boxy Bag tutorial late last year and decided to give it a try. Loved it so much turned it into the project of month for my girlfriends get together crafting day. Then the itty bitty boxy bag tutorial came out and I knew I had to make it for when I travel. Unfortunately all travel came to halt but enjoyed the pattern and added some travel phrases on them with my Cricut Joy and Cricut Easy Press. My friend who is a teacher loved this pattern so much she used them as prizes which she mailed to her math students to encourage them while teaching online. Thank You for your wonderful tutorials and looking forward to trying additional ones.

I’m so glad I found your channel. Your videos are the best. No needless yakking, just great directions. I also appreciate the timestamps. But I just realized that if you click on the time you can go directly to that portion of the video (I have been sliding across at the bottom of the video). Thanks again!

I love these itty bitties. I have made several and gifted them to my granddaughers who use them on their back packs and sport bags. I make mine from left over quilt blocks. I have a box of rogue blocks and if a block isn't quite big enough I just add some borders to it.
