    I didn’t want to have to take a course on washing machines just to do laundry 😭 this is too complicated 😭 ………..UPDATE 2 years later = 😂 didn’t actually need any instructions 🤣 if you just pay attention to the settings, it’s all right there, and seriously, if you choose something wrong, just stop and restart. 🤗 Once you get started and just do it, it’s simple as can be. 😁

    I had a Hoover belt drive for 20 years and used consistently daily the only reason I opted for an LG direct drive was because of the quietness in spin plus it was Time to upgrade however saying that my Hoover washing machine was in perfect condition after 20 years, I was told I might get 10 years out of my new LG Direct drive and 7 years out of a new belt drive in Constant use.. oh how times have changed..

    Just moved into a new place that has one of these, brand new. Put my clothes in and it didn’t clean them at all. Wet them, sure. But they’re still dirty. So I put them in again and now my red clothes are a faded orange/peach and the white bits on everything else have turned pink. Not too mad about it as it was mostly hand towels and socks, but I still need clean clothes. This is my first time living away from my parents so please don’t judge too harshly. 😬
    Any advice please? I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I never had any problems with the previous washing machine at my parents house, but this one eludes me.

    Hi. Thanks for the videos. We just bought a new LG 9kg front loader washing machine. After the machine has run right through its cycle, the blue conditioner tray is still full of water. The guy in the store suggested that I should adjust the feet so that the whole machine is about 6mm higher at the front. This hasn’t made any difference. Would you have any suggestions? Thanks

    • @askmrwashywashy
      @askmrwashywashy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Welcome glad you found them useful. You need to remove the detergent tray and clean the hole under the conditioner tray. When you remove it you can look into the tray and you’ll see the hole that releases the conditioner into the washer. Here is a short video on how to remove the tray th-cam.com/users/shortsLVBCmn3LfN0?feature=share

    What's the catch with energy savings on LG machines? When I wash at 40°C it's like barely warm. When you turn 60°C degrees, it's more like 35°C. When you put it to 95°C, it's nowhere near that temperature! And if program duration is like 2 hours, it's warm for like 30 minutes, half of the time you can hold your hand on the glass...
    This is like LG's way of achieving A+++ rating?! :D

    I have ordered 2021 model for 9 kg just yesterday and expecting the delivery the next week. At the same time I'm still finding many complains about these models regarding electronics controls failure, problems with spinning with half loaded drum - the machine can't spread the cloth evenly to start the spinning process, enormous and unpredictable washing time leading to increased electricity bills , counterweights disbalancing, etc. Have you had any of those symptoms as well?
    If yes how was LG service support?
    Good luck with your device! :)

    I bought a 10kg black one today from Harvey. The shop attendant told me that the weight quoted is for dry clothes not wet. I didn't cross-check this against the manual.
    Also you advise against washing duvets but this machine itself has a duvet setting. You can read it when you show the controls on your video.
    Great video by the way.

    • @garyarmstrong9530
      @garyarmstrong9530 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      After checking other sites on the net, I find everyone else refers to the Maximum capacity of washing machines being measured in DRY weight - either Kg's or lb's . Its only Dryers that are are measured in wet (damp) weight. Your shop attendant would appear to be correct Ricardo.

    • @riclusmac
      @riclusmac 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@garyarmstrong9530 Actually I also reached out to LG's customer service online chat and the chat rep was adamant that the weight quoted is for wet clothes. I pointed out to her that then I have 2 official LG communication channels with conflicting info, the manual and the chat, both representing LG. There must be some internal training screw up and communication screw up within LG because its so large. I think the manual is right [dry] and the chat red is wrong [wet], because we can't know the weight of the wet clothes when they're dry, before becoming wet. Also consumers would look at the manual, and not resort to the online chat. The point that you made about dryers using wet weight makes perfect sense.
      By the way about this LG washer: I saw a review from a guy saying that the machine hammers the water back into the piping and its true. He mentioned it damaged his house's piping. In my apartment it hammers, but I haven't seen any damage. It hammers right before start the cycle, it kicks back the water quite strongly, that I can hear it.
      And another review about the spinning at 1400rpm, i use it only once, because it was so noisy and it vibrated so much that I felt like I had a train inside my tiny apartment. I didn't get any complaints, but I'm sure it would be audible outside of my apartment. I never ran it in 1400 again, I manually set it to 800rpm every time.

    No washer should be complicated enough to warrant a video explaining how to use it.

    Why doesn’t it wash with a good amount of water? I feel like there isn’t enough water.

    I have LG F1495BDS9. I come to reflect that I think LG makes selecting cycles confusing.
    The 'basic' wash cycle is cotton 60°C intensive, however I have never known this from the start.
    The most efficient half load cycle is 'Intensive 60' - not eco - whereas the most efficient full load cycle is instead cotton+eco. LG shouldn't quiz us, imo.

    I have had my LG for years. All of a sudden, it is not spinning my clothes dry on 800 rpm. I then have to do a rinse and spin to dry my clothes enough to hang on the line

    Bought one of these. Pain in the ass. Still can't work out how to simply set a wash for 2 hours at 40 degrees. The longest pre-programmed cycle is 52 mins. My clothes come out stinking after only 52 mins. So I have to wash everything twice.
