    I am glad I have seen this now as I just purchased a brand new LG slate grey washer/dryer combo as had a hotpoint 1 about 4 5 years ago 2nd hand and loved it till it died on me.
    Was so convenient when you live alone I found 💯
    Unfortunately couldn’t of happened a worse time with vet bills to, but my LG FH4U2 range been making a electrical noise since before Christmas so I took the back panel off had a look the other day
    and all the element connections are rusting and water is leaking out the back of the drum from behind the DD motor on to live wires, and also making a rubber squeaking noise when washing on and off and turning by hand and there nothing stuck been told bearing seal has broken or breached and will need replacing but no worn bearing noise or movement yet? but been told it will soon😑
    So got the LG 10/6kg 2in1 fwy706GBTN1 coming in 10 day’s and confident it will be great
    After watching this 😊
    Was on sale but still expensive at £673.00p and £15.00p delivery 😩
    Hope it’s worth it but do love my 2018 one that’s dying slowly.

    I'm in the market for a replacement, my first LG washer dryer has lasted 11 years but has finally died, it was like a family member, LG products are so well made and with the DD they are really quiet

    Had one for a year.
    My partner and I love it.
    She left a tissue in a pocket a few times.
    The tissue came out fully intact.
    That really impressed me. In our old washer dryer we would be picking it out from the machine.

  • @_davidfoster_
    @_davidfoster_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    Went ahead and got the 9kg/6kg version.
    VERY quiet, very efficient and the ‘AI’ part is very intuitive by gauging the weight of you washing against wash time required.
    I thought id got the WiFi version but only came with audible fault finding feature ( via the app)
    Great range in temperature and spin speeds.
    If you want a complete wash/dry cycle then you can only put a max of 6kg wash load in as the max drying load is 6kg.
    The quality of the chassis and the drum action sets this machine way above any machine we’ve owned. (Previous was a zanussi 6kg washer, bottom of the range which, though adequate, left a few things to be desired)
    Recommended !

      Odd question, I got the same machine today and I've noticed a piece of polystyrene that sits rather firmly in place underneath the machine, after it has been installed (around 9cm in from the front edge). Is this the same on your machine or have my installers accidentally left packaging on the underside of the machine...

    • @_davidfoster_
      @_davidfoster_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JordanLn Nope, no polystyrene should be there (ISTBC😳)
      None under my machine anyways………

    • @JordanLn
      @JordanLn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@_davidfoster_ thanks for the reply, I don't actually think it's polystyrene but a spongy white material... It's fairly stuck on and I had it in my head that this was for sound deadening. Expecting a call back from the installers tomorrow :D

    • @JordanLn
      @JordanLn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As I figured in the end, LG got in touch and said this is not polystyrene and is instead a white foam material for sound deafening... Happy days :D

    This was the most detailed video for my new LG combo. Thank you. I do have a question. I'm struggling to figure out how to remove clothes after a wash cycle and then return some items for drying. My settings are a bit different than the 2022 model shown in this video. I have a 2024 model but the manual states it's for 2021-2024. Any feedback would be appreciated. I bought the LG to replace a Malber combo that I had for 22 years. It was a lot simpler but a great machine. I'm hoping that this LG combo is as good. Thank you, again.

    Our Last LG Washing Machine lasted 10 years. This was our sign that we gotta get the same brand. 😂 I got the 10.5KG one. This model is so fancy. Has Wifi and everything. We got it for $730 (washer only). We prefer to get separate washer and dryer.

      That's good to hear, I almost bought a no name with similar functions for 20% less but chickened out and figured I trust LG and my last cheap brand machine always had problems. Hope this one lasts a while, it's the slightly smaller 8/6 but otherwise pretty similar.

    I have this model. As with many new washing machines and dryers, it is impossible to choose exactly the type or time of wash you want. The manufacturers are only interested in reducing water use, not in producing something user-friendly.
    You are restricted to about 12 programmes, and you have to experiment to find one that's nearest to what you want.

    Hi! Thanks for the video - can I ask what combination of settings you recommend for the fastest wash + dry for a normal load and the most economical settings for a wash and dry? Thank you!

    • @OhWanya
      @OhWanya 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello I’m not the guy but I learned ned that steam cycle as a wash is the most economical in water, even better in turbo wash , it cuts 5-15 min of a classical wash depending of the weight. If steam is not an option for you, the best downloaded cycle to use as a daily is the nocturnal cycle , it really saves the electricity since it doesn’t spin as much and the water is set to warm good enough. As a last resort there is the economical wash as a downloaded cycle but it spin a lot if your fine with that but the water is set to cold only. As the dry settings, always turbo because again it cuts 10-30 min of dry time . The time saved could be equal to electricity saved and water saved because it use water in both cycle. The variance in time really depends on the weight of your load ( I used the 4.5 cu version not this new model but it’s mostly the same)

      Late response, but going by EU energy standards for these LG machines, they use about as much in a drying cycle as in a washing cycle (50-ish L). So a combined cycle is about 100L!

    Hi, great review.
    I'm tempted by this model over the Bosch 10/5 washer dryer but I'm worried about the LG water hammer issues due to their use of the cheaper fast closing solenoid. My house had water hammer issues in the past which somehow just went away. Any experience or fixes for this with the LG?
    Otherwise how do you think the Bosch series 6 10/5kg compares?
