I have this LG washer but mine is 10.5KG model with the same cycle number and functions. Have been used it daily for about 1 year and 7 months and never encounter any issue. I only dislike the fact that the door is dark so I can't see my clothes during the wash but other than that, it's perfect.
Why would you want to see the clothes?

I noticed that the temperature, although set in 40oC, 20 minutes prior the end of washing, the 40oC index disapper.
Why's that?
Maybe because the program doesn't use hot water (40oC,) from that time on?
Just got machine yesterday so havne't done anything with it yet. Found your tutorial most helpful but do have two questions: where is button for "delay start" and why does manual give maximum load @ 2 kg. for most programes?

Please, I would like to know the programs that you use, i.e. for white, light and dark colors, and winter clothes such as wool, silk, kitchen and bathroom towels, and the appropriate temperatures for each type of washing, how many rinses, and how strong the squeeze is.

I had the washing machin one year ago. I had two problems: 1.shaking and moving when spinning.
2. Cutting my clothes.
These problems have been there for more than half a year, but now they frequent and annoying.

Those are very serious issues. considering that I wanted to buy it to replace my old LG non-direct drive machine shakes and is loud when spinning. .

Thank you that has helped me to understand the programme but When it spins it vibrates bad and it really heavy to pull out we had to put washing up liquid to get in place

It looks like most of LG washer has the same firmware bug. The temperature disappears at the end of the wash cycle and not visible at the rest of washing

That selector light is not very precise,they could have done a smaller one pointing directly to the option not straddling two options at once.
It looks better when viewed from above. The lower angle of the camera made it look worse, but it still could be clearer I agree.

1.can you please tell me the usage of child lock?
2. Can you please explain what is delay end once again. Can I keep clothes inside washer after washing is done.?
3. I am keeping my LG washer in bathroom with cover. But still feels unsafe from water. Do I need to shift that washer away from bathroom.
The child lock feature disabled all buttons except for the power button. This is useful when you have children in the house and you don't want them to operate the machine
Delay end delays the wash time by one-hour increments up to 24 hours.

I have this machine well the FH4U2TDN2S basically the same as this one. And it’s great my only complaint it doesn’t have spin only you have to put it on download wash witch is basically final rinse and spin and the Wi-Fi is complicated to set up so never used the app. But it’s great machine.
It does have a spin only, all you need to do it press Spin button without selecting any program

You should keep the aeg as it matches the dryer and its bigger and more reliable.

Why does it takes almost 4 hour in cotton mode?
Question: I once did a cotton wash and the Cotton setting was selected, but it took over 3 hours to do. What setting do I need so that I can set the wash time for less than an hour?
I don’t have this washing machine anymore. Your instruction book should list all the programmes and the time they take. If you haven’t got the instructions, Google the model number and you should find them online.

the washer uses 6 motion and its jets to soak the clothes, this is in some way better because your using less water, so your energy saving.

Hi I just purchased the LG washer dryer 10.5/7.
I just noticed than whenever I select pre-wash, the steam option is not available. And if I select the steam option, it doesn't allow pre-wash.

i think pre-wash is not a regular washing programme, so it won't need to add steam function. if you want to add steam, use one regular programme and add steam. Pre-wash is optional for some hard sheets or heavy soil clothes.

My mom has this machine and it’s horribly loud right after she presses the start button when the water is going into the machine. It literally shakes the house and we can still hear it from upstairs when we close our bedrooms doors. She bought this washer about 2 months ago and I told her today that I don’t think this noise is normal.
It shouldn’t be loud. Make sure it has been levelled properly using a spirit level and check that the transit bolts have been removed.

Hi, for this washing machine on a standard wash cycle in mixed fabric mode, can you see if the water is entered and released at least three times during the cycle.

@@siobhanpeeples9917 It does. You just have to press the spin button and select your desired spin speed, right after turning it on. Don't turn the program selector/knob though!
My machine always takes more than 1.30 hrs when in Mix mode. Is there an option by which I can reduce the time? Normally it should take 45 mints maximum. Also I don't find any option to choose only spin or rinse function. If there is any power failure and the machine will start from the beginning, though it might have come to the final stage of washing or rinse. wherein I had to re-run the entire 1.55hrs every time. This is a big headache. Other machines have option wherein you can choose whether full cycle or just rinse or spin alone. Pls help
Can set the function only for drying. clothes would not dry in 1 dry, due to bad weather
Hello Roger i quite like the look of this washing machine however i think i`m leaning more to getting one of the Samsung add wash washing machines i like the idea of it
louise stirton although I don't own the add wash model I would highly recommend Samsung! I find the cleaning power is amazing in comparison to other machines I've had and the daily wash which only takes an hour is perfect! Also has a soak function for any nasty stains which works amazing, even managed to wash duvets without any fuss or the machine ending up over the other side of the kitchen
I hope you stayed well away from samsung add wash, they are with out dought in my opinion the worst washing machines ever. If you have bought one it will give up on you eventually or start going wrong, oh they use recycled materiels especally on the drum spider. The big problem that started was uneven spins, due to the metal spider becoming faulty.
I have a brand new Bosch serie 4 and its great, I have never been happier with it.

Is this still working without problem up until now? Never had LG appliances before and I doubt with their reliability. Looking for a new one since my old 20 years old Electrolux starts producing whining and grinding noise while spinning.
hi. i am about to buy a washing machine and was considering LG 9kg direct drive . however my concern is would the w machine allow my load to soak in detergent before spinning. i have a 10kg whirpool washing machine and i sometimes leave my clothes to soak fully in detergent. at my convenience i can then press spin depending on my likings. would this allow me to leave them soaked completely. tks so much

If it’s not flushing all the powder into the machine, make sure the draw is dry before you add the powder as it can sometimes clog and not dispense into the drum. Also make sure you are putting the powder into the correct compartment.
