Since release, this is the first real world usage benefit for the Vision Pro I've seen. Great stuff.
Same
This is a perfect use case, imagine when you can superimpose various layers of a cad house design on an empty lot and walk around. Imagine if the builders were all wearing them. Crazy
With some architects building exact to spec 3D models, I'm sure it's only a matter of time until there's interactable 3D models with fade away pieces that let you move things around or dig into them further for visuals with build specs through AR. The firm I work for builds out 3D models of brick walls for instance, exactly as it's to be built. It looks like a simple 3D model of a brick wall but you can dig into it and every, single thing is modeled to spec on the inside. Same goes for everything else, brick wall is just an example since it was one of our first ones we did like that.
I just want to add, I am a flight inspector for commercial flights, and I've been using this headset with great success. It's a lot more intuitive than using an ipad when you are keeping track of multiple documents and drawings at once while walking around an airplane
@@kittycoma wow also makes sense. I wonder how many other great real life uses for work there are. Some may need some apps developed first tho.
Lol imagine seeing your inspector rock up with this on 🤣 Builders will be running off site
Laughing
They run away even without him with it on
Or the dodgy trades 😂
Old mate turns up on site looking like the terminator 😂
what a great idea thats gold
You need to rename your channel to: Inspector Gadget.
Comment of the day 😂
Lol
GIVE THIS MAN A MEDAL AND THE KEY TO HIS STATES CAPITAL CITY 👏
This one's an early contender for best comment I see all year.
Go Go Gadget Eyes 👀
Na mate
This is literally the LAST TH-cam channel I'd expect to see Apple Vision Pro. Yeah, agree with previous comments about 'choppy' video. If you were serious about using this in the future (assuming not), then apply some post-processing video stabilisation. 🙂
I love your work - sticking up for everyday Aussies. You deserve a television series.
yes he does
TV wil only FVK it up and he would get nothing
@@ovlov245 For real, stay independent
Genius of Apple to send it to someone whose job is so well suited to it and also has the smarts to use it so well for a newer way of doing the job! Awesome stuff.
Hahaha Apple sent this thing to right bloke! Who woulda thought this tech so be so useful for a site inspector, what an epic demonstration
How long til you have an overlay of the plan in 3D as you walk thru it. Someone has gotta be working on that
9:22 - "so far, so bad" LOL 🤣
No, being the house and the competence of the builder.@@grantpalmer85
This is the first 'real world' useful application of the Vision Pro I've seen. What is the weight of it like after a while? How is the eye strain?
The amount of processing power in those is really incredible.
You know you made it when you’re on top of a building site with a Vision Pro yelling out “non compliant” 😂.
Love ya work mate. Doing Gods work for sure. Keep it up.
just like the ad... you can see the floor plan right over the real vision feed, and everything!
the future is today!
Finally a review of the Apple Vision Pro that isn’t just a Proffessional technical reviewed or a content creator who only cares about how useful it is for video editing 👍🏼
That Apple VR is awesome. Just don’t get run over. 🤣👍
This is the best use for the Apple Vision Pro I've seen yet.
That apple vision is perfect for your job mate... love it..
Surprised no headsets have thought of adding stabilisation to video record mode. This stuff is a shaky headache inducing nightmare to watch watch if you're not actually wearing the headset.
it would be a waste of headset power and battery .....the shaking can be reduced in editing software after the tour before posting the video
i haven't even noticed it
I don't think the headset should do that, typically "stabilization" is just recording video as wide as possible and cropping it down to what is been looked at, and smoothing movement out, it should be a post recording edit process
Granted though the headset at time of recording would have an easier time knowing what the focus is, I wonder if that's part of the recorded video file?
@ibendover4817 they do have optical stabilization ....your head just moves a lot especially while inspecting stuff .....although I'm not sure if spatial video stabilization is different from a normal video
@@geepfish7935iphones and action cams have lenses with actuators that move the lens around to compensate shaking
looks like you could use a digital tape measure too!
It's cool, but very shaky. Not a fan.
Definitely needs video stabilisation. Anyone else feel like they are getting motion sickness while watching?
@@ProbitasMendax - a little bit.
Nope
@@ProbitasMendaxyeah it’s not great viewing for the viewer.
But for him as a tool what a winner
Absolutely. I couldn't watch the whole video.
Just subbed,
What gets me is why these guys can’t/won’t leave a nice finish on the job, let alone follow the plan requirements,
Keep up the good work
This technology is amazing in this setting.
Like a kid on christmas mate! Thanks for showing off your use case for the AVP
It has a problem recording in the darker spaces.... I would question the safety without peripheral vision.
I never even thought about how useful this technology would be for inspections.
Looks like a useful piece of kit.
But as far as the TH-cam viewer is concerned, maybe work on stabilisation.
Jumping around too much.
5 minutes in and getting motion sick.
Never seen a demo of this. Crazy!
You take Pride in your work and we LOVE IT :)
This just brought your content to a new level!
How cool are they! Love it and your work with be so much more exciting now
Amazing technology
That's a brilliant usecase for an AVP.
Lookin gud mate... nice Apple shades! PS That site with the blokes actually looked quite tidy! Finally!
Absolutely brilliant.
This is exactly what these technologies will excel at, awesome seeing it in use.
Vision pro is still a bit of an experiment for Apple. To see it being used like this is pure gold - feedback for Apple.
hahaha this is so good, great addition to the inspections
I’m not fond of our latest technology, but you sure know how to use it, now ask Apple to add a photo taking option to these goggles with zoom and you won’t need to hold your phone! Love your work bro 👍
This is the first time ive seen this thing be useful.
Top Gun Site Inspection. 👍😁
Really cool use case!
This is awesome… you can keep everything at your fingertips
That is F***king cool!!!
Do you reckon it's safer with this thing or with an ipad/paper when you're on the roof inspecting?
Just don't put your builing plans in the middle of the street obscuring traffic
It's perfectly unsafe. You could try to step close to your building plans and step off the roof and die. Or as the other commenter said, obstruct your view of traffic on the street
Extremely dangerous and non compliant to OH&S standards
Wow Tht Apple V.R headset is the business
I actually love how much you love all your tech based gadgets
Makes a boring job fun I guess.
It's nice to see the way u used the Apple vision pro and it's very helpful for you in your job. Hope all understood the benefits it brings in your job and also your yt channel. I see that you transited to this vision pro so quick and easy. Keep it up
This is great. Apple vision seems to make things easier.
love the extra information!
This is unreal mate! it’s going to be a game changer 👌
Appreciate you asking everyone if they are ok to be filmed
I’m 5 minutes in and this is the most practical example of why I need these glasses. Damn brilliant
wow next level
This guys having a blast with his new stark tech
This is amazing
You’re a legend
Ok this is pretty impressive
Hey fella hey thanks for the educational aspect my brother was an inspector in Brisbane for 20 years just retired mainly to protect himself from drugs in the work place ice rage etc
I've studied your input to look over some of the aspired creative concepts in our house noncompliant .....roofing is poor repairs underway keep the faith
I'm a mechanical engineer Mercedes benz heavy truck trained now semi retired repairing all sorts of things in my shop scrapyard to some learning bmw motorcycles might be the challenge
That's totally awesome love watching your video's now the are even better with this vision pro
loooooool I was see that builder in Preston react to you wearing this hahahaha! "OMG Bro he's like full on PRO now with high tech goggles and all!"
Thanks boss
Imagine the neighbours watching you on the roof. Fingers and hands flying in the air 😅
man this is good
amazing...!
Smart thinking man
2:35 Got that vibe🔥🔥🔥
if that image could be stabilised this is a 10\10
VR is definitely the future
Haha, that vision thing is awesome. Just gonna leave those plans on the street over there. Mental!
Is it Compliant!
💯
Cool tech but previous videos are much smoother 👍 keep up the great content man
Awesome
fantasitc -really interesting to watch
that's gotta be unsafe wearing those on a jobsite with all those dangers around 🤔
Just wow! Apple VR is a game changer
Great tool
But terrible for the viewer on TH-cam
Way to jerky
“Spatial computing” apple thinks vr and ar terms are blasphemy
Wow, that is pretty sweet. Seeing augmented 3D CAD models would be a mint usage for this. What thoughts on OH&S issues with any limited view whilst walking around a work site?
love ya work mate :D
This is a weird yet seemingly useful use case.
Though if possible you may want to look for an opacity option before you punch a wall.
Brilliantly done but you need to slow down the head movements as I was feeling dizzy lol
Robo Inspector, actually a good use case for apple vision.
Hi
Just would like to say man I can't believe the amount of short cuts some of these so called builder's are taking.
I have done a lot of trade assistance work in my time and can gladly say the company's that I worked for did have extremely high standards.
Love your attention to detail.
Finger's crossed everything crossed these faulty workmanship supplies can be a thing of the past
It's not fair that these people are paying huge budget's to get work done and not being up to basic standards.
Crazy.
Keep up the great work with your inspections.
I love it.
I like the apple VR But how about finding a house that is compliant. It would be more pleasant hearing that everything is expertly done
But you are so good at what you do
You are awesome 👍
Love the headset. It's too small when you highlight and read off for both words and words in pictures. Let's go
I think you can do live videos call with people as well. So you could have a group call and have all part members on site seeing what you are reporting without being on sites. Having screens for each person.
a proper use for apple vr
If this technology can be shrunk to fit inside a normal size pair of glasses it will be a game changer for the building inspection industry 👍
What an incredible brain you have to pick up this new technology, so quickly one wonders What other vocations you could have chosen in Life , perhaps an airline pilot or a surgeon , your memory recall is as good. In my opinion.
The job this man is doing right now to expose the corrupt construction industry is more important than having another pilot or surgeon
@@LukeEsther granted 👍
Apple are great. I receive seeded products from them and they take great care of you! I can also confidently say you're the first in the world to do a building inspection with the amazing Apple VP! (Tip: You can use post editing software to stabilise the footage a bit more)
Dont use that its making me feel like travel sick, can you steady it like the go pro?
Came into comments to say the same. Fun novelty but hard to watch for an extended period.
Way back in the day, a surgeon asked my advice about him recording an op with a head-mounted GoPro, instead of a man with a video camera. I said the head movement will drive you crazy. Fine if you stand still like a tripod and move like a ninja, otherwise not so good.
Good video editing software should be able to smooth this out a fair bit, at the loss of some resolution
@@Gomisan "should". It can't, it won't.
If you're, say, walking in a straight line with a GoPro on your head (and no in-camera stabilisation), the stabilisation software analyses the image to see where certain trackable points are moving then uses those as reference points to keep the whole image in place.
If your head is moving all over the place, the software can't tell the difference between accidental movement that must be corrected and deliberate movement that needs to be allowed. If it could tell the difference, then it wouldn't be able to stabilise it because there's no constant reference points to fix on to as your head bobs and weaves and turns.
PeoI’m le keep tryna review it instead of use it. Happy I found this vid. Hope you do more
Imagin using your drone with the ARP, now that would make you predator effects feel that much more real.
Oh yeah! Now there's a real use case. All we need is a DJI with a depth guide built in and you wouldn't need to get up on roofs.
Smart apple 🍎 sending you their unit
you could absolutely stabilise the footage through a video editing software like sony vegas or adobe after effects if you did consider doing more of this in the future. i throughly enjoyed it though i watched via my TV and didn’t think it was too hard to watch.
Very cool stuff
can wait to see you get your hands on AR contact lenses
Unfortunately I suffer from motion sickness just by watching first person videos. So as much as I like your videos and what you do, I might have to pass from now on. All the best mate
I love tech too and while this was entertaining i found it an interesting opportunity to also use tech in real time. Ie searching for then clearance requirements via voice within seconds on any old dunga phone. Google assistant immediately provided the manual. Microsoft Co-pilot (aka chat gpt 4) gave a spoken and worded summary of the requirements and also tied that to the NCC with citations and links.
Maybe if you tie cutting edge technology (dunno if you can install those things on the goggles?) that combo would be good. I would assume Siri is on the AVP but that's completely useless as is well known.
I've started using "Let's gooo" in my day to day now😂
Hey bro, did you get a headache afterwards using that?
This is hilarious but also cool
