Bro you are your own spotter when flying fpv!!! 😂😂
As how it should be
Lol 😂
People actually fly with spotters??
U NEED A SPOOTTTERERRER WITH FPV, I CRACHED a 3 meter glider my first time
@@Smokkedandslammed no. It's a silly rule that really should only apply to commercial operators
This is one of the more compelling applications for the Vision goggles I've seen. When they get better and cheaper, wow.
Agreed. This is the most useful tool in real world situation I’ve seen so far. I concur.
i hope it becomes the next big thing after smartphones 😊
This is what I was going to say. This is the first thing to make me think I wouldn’t want to wait for the third gen Vision Pro to come out…
~Trav
I wonder how Meta3 works with DJI
Seems like a much more affordable option with similar capabilities
FAA needs to rewrite their FAA-107 exam regarding spotter! HAHAHA! Man, that is totally insane! Awesome job!
Lol! Thank you!
@@billykyle 🤣
For real 😂😂😂😂
its not like he is following the FAA rules . . . why should he care about the VO requirement?
FAA will be on it at the blazing pace of at least 10 years....
That is so awesome! Now i can fly my $2,000 drone with my $3,500 glasses. Lol. You're the only one that I've seen doing this. Nice work.
hahahaha
Hahaha funny
Don’t forget the $2000 mac too
I'm pretty sure you can do everything he's doing in the video with a Quest 3 that costs $500.
@@VilleVaananenor the even cheaper dji goggles
Thanks Billy for putting this out there. I’m a technical training instructor and now I’m wondering how we could incorporate the goggles into a training scenario.
Solid write off😂
Imagine if there was a 360°, spherical video camera, capturing your surroundings and having it digitally portrayed in your virtual reality. Space.
I can’t help but think how amazing that would be . If it was semi transparent, you could be immersed in two places at once.
The prospects for this technology are mind-boggling
But why? 😅 The vision pro already HAS a set of STEREO cameras, representing the complete reality you can see without the headset. This is exactly what you can see in this video. The only limitations are the field of view the headset has right now. But covering anything beyond that does not give any benefit. The overlaying of virtual reality is possible right now as you imagine it. Although Apple prefers to use gradual opacity only where the virtual reality background ends, but this is just a software design decision for the immersive movie backgrounds right now. But if e.g. a person approaches you while you are immersed, the headset will intelligently mask out the persons face, so you can see it through a “hole” in VR in the real world.
@@MoritzWeller The drone streaming a 360° video feed, so there's no need to rotate the drone 90° to the left to see the left side; just turn your head left.
@@MoritzWeller I agree with what you are saying but I think we're misunderstanding. I think they want to blend with what the drone is seeing
then add haptic feedback gloves to the mix. Might be interesting indeed.
Its amazing but i dont think youd want to walk around whatever free space ur in to enjoy the captivating surrounding in a different space.. Sounds dangerous. You can only do so much (move around so much) unless u got a whole ass farm full of free land to urself.
He just showed us how broke we are lol
DJI , make a drone with stereo cameras and the ability to see the output thru the vision pro. Then we’ll know what it feels like to fly 😀
This looks absolutely insane!
Right 🤯
I bet you some lawyers at the FAA are already reviewing the term "within line of sight". Is it still line of sight when seen through screens? Cool video
It is not.
14 CFR 107.31 Visual line of sight aircraft operation.
(a) With vision that is unaided by any device other than corrective lenses
First thing that I was thinking when watch this !
This might be the best use case so far for Vision Pro. Full use of pass through. Better experience. 2 hour battery is way more than you will need for flying.
Yeah, and you can just feed power right back in as you use it.
Bruh this is great but that damn $3500 🙄😂😂😂
@@shermangomez1154yeah. That’s the cost of amazing tech.
Have been waiting for this! Thanks Billy for producing x from NZ
Hahahah thank you!
Thanks for this. Looking forward to the video explaining this setup so I can use my AVP with my drone fleet.
Coming soon!
Good Lord how this technology has evolved! Mind bending. To be able to monitor the camera view, the various apps that can be inserted (like perhaps a topographical map) AND the live world all at the same time is nothing short of remarkable. Keep up the great work Billy. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this. Makes my old Fat Shark tech look prehistoric.
We certainly have come a long way! Thanks for watching!
Trippy! Great job thinking outside the box man!
Thank you!
As a non drone enthusiast it's cool to see this amazing use case. Looks like the future of FPV.
Yeah I like using AR instead of VR
Wow!!!! Im going to try this with my mini 3 pro and mavic 3 classic. Just picked up a vision pro yesterday.
Thanks Billy
Cool! Have fun!
Ready Player One, great video thank you.
Right lol. Thanks!
Aside from the choppiness here and there. This looks insane!
Yeah and that will for sure be ironed out
Can you make a video where you detail how you set the whole thing up and what was needed on the laptop to make it work? Seems a pain to need a laptop in addition to the glasses and a RC-N1 plus phone. There needs to be a way to have it also work with an RC-Pro.
Billy, thanks for the idea. I will definitely be trying this way of flying my drone‘s in the future. Keep up the good work! looks like a beautiful day in Philly.
That’s dope AF, thanks for sharing 👏🙂
Thanks for watching!
Awesome!! Such a great idea. Neat to see your experience!
Thanks Andrew, it’s cool for sure!
Excellent conceptual presentation Billy! I am hoping for some future development of this to have a more streamlined process of syncing up the drone to the goggles but only time will tell if/ when that happens. Looking forward to potentially collaborating with you in the future! Keep the content flowing!
That is great. Well done. Makes me actually want a drone now.
Super cool
Billy!
Finally, a nice case for the apple vision pro..
Thx, Billy, im in the process of attempting to fly dji drones with the quest 3; i believe its possible with a work-a-around.
That is awesome! Thanks for putting that together and showing us.
Thanks for watching!
Loving my vision pros to compose shots! Resolution is incredible.
Right? It’s so badass
Wow! This is so cool. Thank you for showing us.
I NEVER thought of this! BRILLIANT!
Thanks 👀
Thank you, this has always been the use case for Vision Pro that I was very interested to see especially if you think about flying the drone for applications such as power lines inspection, solar farm etc.
That is a legitimately useful use case. Well done.
I agree! Thank you!
This is really cool Billy, thanks for sharing this with us! I could see DJI integrating an out of box solution in the future.
I hope they do! Thanks!
WOW!!! This just blew my mind. This can save the FPV world of not needing a spotter anymore.
Right!
No the good Old FAA will kill that Fun. Remember the FAA is made of “Old Manned Pilots” that don’t want their Job taken away by some 20 year old kid, that is a master with an FPV Drone linked to an Airplane. Been in aviation for 30 years now…remember this is the US government they don’t do anything that benefits you…only them.
Nice! Good job thinking forward and trying new ways that the Vision Pro will be helpful for us drone operators! Keep up the great work. Looking forward to see how you did it.
Thanks! Video dropping soon on how it’s done 💪🏼
Hey this is very neat and the video is well done. You’re showing us something different.
Thanks for watching!
This is huge! Thanks for sharing!
WOW! This is the future man, such a cool idea!
Great use of the new tech!! Amazing! Makes me want one now
Thank you! It's a pretty cool view.
So sick😮
Very cool use of the AVP! In the US, what does this mean for VLOS rules (would the FAA consider pass-thru as normal vision?) and would it necessitate a visual observer if you go this route?
I’m not sure. Grey area
this is such an important video. thank you for making it
Thanks for watching!
This is awesome. I never even considered the Vision Pro for this application. I want it even more now 🤦🏽♂️
This was the first use case I thought of!
This is absolutely amazing and time to try this bro .. I would love to see more details of this setup in the next video 🔥🔥🔥
My guess is that he is streaming the video from the phone, which is plugged into his RC, to his laptop. And then he’s using the vision pro’s computer connectivity to show the laptop screen in his Vision Pro goggles. Sort of a double-layered connection . Pretty clever!
Yup, exactly. I’ll have a video out soon on my process!
Billy, not sure if my reply go posted, but I wanted to tell you about this native Vision Pro app called Bezel ($5 one time purchase) that can stream your phone to the Vision Pro. You can then bypass the need for your laptop!
I think he might of found one of the best uses for this thing I’ve seen. Its useful
Which is nuts to think about. Continue to be creative my friend the worlds better with people like you
First use of AVP that's made me even slightly interested in it. Pretty cool.
This is my favorite use case by far
Thats crazy dude
Hi Billy, thank you for the review video of the Apple Vision Pro. I use the Epson bt-35e smart glasses to fly my camera drones. The ability to see the FPV screen while having situational awareness is the future for drone pilot flying. Used Epson bt-35e smart glasses can be purchased used for ~$500, much lower cost than the Apple Vision Pro. All one needs with the smart glasses is a controller HDMI output. The DJI RC2 can output HDMI using a usb-c to HDMI cable. Even the lowly Fimi X8 SE 2022, V2, and Pro can output HDMI using the low cost Fimi TX10 and TX10A smart controllers.
Yeah Epson has some good alternatives
This is crazy now I have to get these!
Amazing! But that price! Does it satisfy the law about having a spotter with FPV's since you can also see the drone?
Grey area
Dude, that's sick! Love it!
It's so fun!
You should try to get a hold of the developer band for the Vision Pro and it should work sort of like a usb cable so you could get an adapter to connect to the controller and see if it works
YES!!! Thank you! Could you change lens's and control settings in the goggles while flying?
yeah, this is why I bought the Apple Vision Pro but I haven’t gotten that working yet, so I’m interested in how you did it. From what I can see you have the drone transmitting to your Mac and then you have your Mac screen up on the Apple Vision Pro. I tried using the iPad app, but ran into the same issue you did and that it can’t connect to the controller.
I have a video going up tomorrow
I've been wondering how effective the apple vision pro would be as a focus screen for a camera... seems like it might work, but I'm not sure if I would also have to get a laptop involved?
There needs to be a much more streamlined connection between the devices
Thanks for sorting this out for me!
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Yooo this is crazy and futuristic
Just amazing!, wish there was a way of streaming directly from the iPhone to the AVP.
Keep up the good videos!!!
Was waiting for someone to do this!
😎
could you try if you can connect the dji controller to your vision pro using the developer strap?
Sure, it will be this kind of equipment that we will all have in the near future. It will remain to improve the latency for FPV use.
If DJI develops DJI FLY for native use this will be a must 😍
Yes! I totally agree.
You think this would help prevent or lessen motion sickness for those who are prone to ii? I had it when I first got the psvr2 especially with gran turismo 7. I ended up taking the less drowsy version of dramamine to build up vr legs for the first 2-3 weeks.
Thank you Billy I promise you I’ve been thinking this but for on the O3 air unit/Avata
That might be a good use of
This is Dopeness on so many levels.
😎😎
Wow Billy.. You did a great job with this. You give us so much info, but you're able to present it very clear and understandable.. Well done buddy.. I would love to see a collab video with Ken Heron and the Apple goggles.
Thanks for watching!
The whole thing with FPS is that you're purely immersed like you're flying. I can see this be very useful for biz applications like inspection, land surveying, etc.
Well done! Love the use case. Now we just need DJI to have a view version of the app for iPad/Vision pro. I have a Vision Pro and now I have thins to try. Thanks.
yes!
okay now this actually have a LOTS of potential!!
Yup, it will only get better!
Bout time! 😜
Bravo brother! 🤘🏼
It’s scary how crazy that’s about to get. lol
Tech blows my mind every day!
Dude... this is actually so insanely cool. Guys, for real we really are in the future. This is so amazing.
It’s pretty sweet 🤯
Thanks for sharing, great idea. It will be interesting to see how people will get creative with this new tool.
Thanks! I can't wait to see how more people use it.
Awesome video Billy!
Thank you!
Mr. Kyle. Thank you for providing a layman's introduction to the Apple goggles. Because of your video, I actually have a better understanding of how AR technology could become an accelerated productivity tool in the home as well as in military and professional settings. Keep up the great work, and thank you for being a courageous early adopter of Apple's pricey AR technology. God speed, mate.
How was it looking straight into the sun? Sometimes when I'm trying to spot my drone its sitting right in the path of the sun. Then when I look up I'm blinded by it for a few seconds.
Amazing, thx for show, great thought to use the Vision Pro as well! ¶ ; - )
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much, I truly appreciate this so much...
Thanks for sharing brother❤️👍👍
love it!!!
Great video! I can see more and more survey applications with this now. Starting to think I need to buy one myself now!
Yeah that’s going to be a game changer. Excited for the future!
This is very cool! Nice job.
Thank you!
Wow! That's really cool.
Pretty insane 🤯
So cool. I love it. We just need a way to connect the controller straight to the Vision Pro
Yes I agree
😮wow that's awesome Billy 👌
Thank you!
Great info!!
How did you see the image live simultaneously from your computer? Which app did you use?
Greetings from Germany! Super video, you are the leading edge of integrating the Apple Vision Pro with DJI drones. I am wondering how complex it was to link the Apple Vision Pro with drone and the RC controller? Do you think Apple might already have some thoughts on this integration? Regards 😅
Dude, this is a great idea!
Thanks 😎
This is unbelievable!
Looks cool, hope Apple continues this and DJI makes a native app!
Same!
Yeah, I wish that too! So we can get rid of the Macbook part!
It would be cool, but there are rumors that DJI's next-generation goggles will also feature pass-through. This makes it unlikely that DJI will develop a native app for VR headsets. Quest users have conducted similar experiments on their devices, but DJI has consistently overlooked these efforts. My assumption is that DJI wants to avoid competition for their headsets.
that is very cool
Looking forward to seeing more videos on this topic 👍🏻 Rental
I had this same thought when this came out then I fly with my Integras. Additional KILLER features of a possible AR/MR drone app: 1) put a prominent circle in your vision around your drone to help track, and 2) do the same (but other color) for OTHER aircraft. This would increase ease of tracking and safety IMMENSELY.
sound on your video it's great man .. what mic are you using ???
Thanks! The DJI Mic 2.
Says nice and smooth! It was jumpy from the first second it was being flown.
Wouldn't it also work if you connected your iPhone screen directly to the Vision Pro using, for example, the Bezelapp? Why the MacBook? Thank you and greetings from Germany
Very Interesting. Thank you Billy.
You're welcome!
This is so freaking cool
Best use case I’ve seen so far
