When I was a young child in the 1950s - 60s we moved all the time. We were a military family in the US. (I lived in 13 houses before I was 18.) Each time we moved my mother handed me a box just about the size of the box you showed. I had only that to put all my personal items in. Because of that, I tended to collect very small items, mostly handmade or repurposed by me. I certainly never owned a dollhouse, but boy, we’re those little items soooooo precious to me. I love to see you both pouring so much love onto those little items that were soooo precious to someone so long ago. Warms my heart.

In Ohio we call people who craft beautiful things like furniture from wood, woodworkers. The people who make big things like houses from wood are carpenters. 🤍 Love from Ty in Ohio. 👋😃

Kate, you were right -- woodworker is a job title, and the furniture could have been crafted by one. Your little stone bibles are carved from onyx, as they have parallel bands when you turned them in the camera. I would love to see you start on the Study next. When you come up with names for the doll houses, it would be fun to have a poll for viewers or your Patrons to vote. Loved watching this along with you -- would adore seeing more unboxing videos as you two make it so much fun with your comments and facial expressions. xx Karen

Don't have any money to give you unfortunately, so I thought I'd write you something as my way of showing appreciation for your beautiful channel. Inspired by your pudding stones episode, filmed in the woods I ran in as a child. when I was a child I walked woods of tranquility, nestled deep in the bowels of a hollowed out oak. A candle danced shadows, cast a spell on me. The wind in the branches soothing words spoke. My childhood melted along with the candle wax, dripping stalactite tears from it's shady nook.upon magic and wonder my heart contracts, upon youthful innocence simply closed the book.Keep up your fine work, each episode is a real gem.

@@sticklebacksummer Just why am I enthralled by all these events based around the Dolls House?...and I'm a bloke. Well, as a child you lived in your own world of make believe, and as you get older one thing, from your childhood, never seems to leave you, the imaginative world of make believe stays with you. I know that when Kit and Caboodler are tucked up in bed at night, this Dolls House comes alive, and Kitty-cat knows this too. Just what secrets does Kitty-cat know?, what Dolls House stories can he tell us, we will never know. The Dolls House where time stands still, yet Kitty-cat knows differently, is this why Kitty-cat is always around when the camera is running..tee-hee. Oh well, time I grew up a bit more and got real, nar' why should I for I'm enjoying myself...lol.

Hello! Your oversized bowls could indeed be laundry tubs! As a small child, I was given a bath in a galvanized laundry tub at my grandparent’s. I didn’t like it because the bottom of the laundry tub had a series of raised rings on the bottom to make the bottom stronger. Stronger yes, but comfortable, no! I had a very old lady for a neighbore once, she is probably in her 90´s by now, and she told me once, that when she was a child her dollshouse would be just out to play with while christmastime, not when ever she wanted, and every year theire would be some new bits of furniture or elektric light with real little lamps and so forth, but after the holidays the dollhouse would be gone til the next christmas . . . and I found this actually quite charming, it teaches a child to cherish what it has, to be modest in its wishes and take good care of its toys I think . . . best wishes from germany 😀😉😘

I discovered you a month ago because I am a doll collector, and I watch mudlarking videos. I love everything I’ve seen. My mother has passed and the two of you remind me of our times together.
As for the items here, I think that the red unknown is a decorative wall-hanging shelf, so that the squiggles face down. Also, all of your dolls, including little wax gum boots can be cleaned by hand washing them in oxyclean with gentle baby detergent. Test them for colour fastness with water first as I think the wee red doll may bleed. Don’t be afraid to undress the ones mad with plaster and what not. The tiny reg dolls can be washed too. Put them somewhere warm to dry through. Even outside in the summer.
Keep the videos coming. I would love to see you filming inside the antique stores if the will allow it. We have them here in Canada where I am, but very little beyond the Victorian age can be found. We also do not have much treasure on our beaches! But there are some old dump sites with bottles from the early 20th century. Oh, and am so impressed with how quickly you knitted up a tiny sweater. Peace and love to you awesome ladies. ✌️💖

I couldn’t find your Kewpie-like baby doll; I’m thinking it’s another brand because it’s not as bald. But it definitely has that saucy expression. 😁
Your bath would, traditionally, be used in the kitchen. My Mom grew up in the country (born 1928) and they used a tin one, next to the wood burning stove, where it was warm and easy to add hot water without spilling on the nice living room things. Her Dad was always first, her Mom second, and down the line in age order. With six kids, four of them boys, Mom said the water wasn’t terribly clean by the time the little ones got in. But Mom said those two were always climbing in the barn, etc., so she and her little sister were glad that they both got to bathe before them. 😁

When i was young my dad made me and my sister some large cots for our dolls, but sometimes there would be a friend in the family who would make dolls house furniture. has a hobby and gift them at christmas or birthdays, the furniture looked home made, but also not everyone had all the necessary tools,
lovely video many thanks loving the whole series its a welcome distraction from the news thank you

I would love to see unboxing of the boxes! It is like a lovely surprise that you are sharing. You two are so wonderful to watch - pleasant voices (although sometimes a bit difficult for me to hear - so soft!) and such shared enthusiasm. Finally - this may seem rather impertinent but your hair is just glorious. Nice to see such natural beauty.

For the white large-ish porcelain type dish with the two pretty flowers painted inside, as you stated it’s large & out of scale, but, for a bit of whimsey, you could buy some assorted clear glass (or plastic) assorted COLORED round ball shaped beads, and fill that ‘bowl’ & pretend that they are the marble collection belonging to one of the house occupants. To be clear, I’m referring to the children’s game of glass marbles played outdoors on the dirt ground. Earlier generations referred to the marbles as “glassies”. Usually prized possessions for all kids - we traded them amongst ourselves, plus nothing beat a game with the boys and WINNING the entire lot that was amassed from missed shots etc. Great memories! I’m 69, first sign of Spring was the snow gone & ground damp enough to set up our ‘marble’ track in the damp earth…

The trinket dish would make a cute bird bath or a sink maybe? The red plastic bit could be a shelf? Love watching this. I can't wait to watch the progress of the dollhouse

Oh! and the marble books could be a stack of suitcases maybe 💓

Hi, loved the unboxing, so exciting, each new discovery was enchanting. would like to see the other collections you have also, so more unboxing would be great. I think aspidistras and potted palms were of that era, but not sure. Happy cleaning and organising, have a wonderful week.

You cannot show too many un-boxing of doll house items! There are many of us ladies who never outgrew their dolls or their doll houses. I love the handmade cloth dolls for this house. All of this makes me want to get out all of my miniatures and find a place for them!
