When I was a young child in the 1950s - 60s we moved all the time. We were a military family in the US. (I lived in 13 houses before I was 18.) Each time we moved my mother handed me a box just about the size of the box you showed. I had only that to put all my personal items in. Because of that, I tended to collect very small items, mostly handmade or repurposed by me. I certainly never owned a dollhouse, but boy, we’re those little items soooooo precious to me. I love to see you both pouring so much love onto those little items that were soooo precious to someone so long ago. Warms my heart.
I have no idea why this video came up in my suggested but I'm glad it did. I'm a 48 year old man my children are grown and you ladies have inspired me to build a dollhouse. P.S...im a "carpenter" by trade and a "woodworker" by hobby.thank you for sharing this video.
I absolutly loved both of these videos. You are both so genuine , and happy. So many of us have lost that luster. Hold on to yours, it's beautiful. Love you both.
When I was a child my dad built and furnished a stable and corral for me it held 6 horses and accessories.I loved it so much.Im 73 so long ago.I love miniatures.Thank you oh yes my dad was a fine wood worker came from his German hertiage
Don't have any money to give you unfortunately, so I thought I'd write you something as my way of showing appreciation for your beautiful channel. Inspired by your pudding stones episode, filmed in the woods I ran in as a child. when I was a child I walked woods of tranquility, nestled deep in the bowels of a hollowed out oak. A candle danced shadows, cast a spell on me. The wind in the branches soothing words spoke. My childhood melted along with the candle wax, dripping stalactite tears from it's shady nook.upon magic and wonder my heart contracts, upon youthful innocence simply closed the book.Keep up your fine work, each episode is a real gem.
I couldn’t find your Kewpie-like baby doll; I’m thinking it’s another brand because it’s not as bald. But it definitely has that saucy expression. 😁 Your bath would, traditionally, be used in the kitchen. My Mom grew up in the country (born 1928) and they used a tin one, next to the wood burning stove, where it was warm and easy to add hot water without spilling on the nice living room things. Her Dad was always first, her Mom second, and down the line in age order. With six kids, four of them boys, Mom said the water wasn’t terribly clean by the time the little ones got in. But Mom said those two were always climbing in the barn, etc., so she and her little sister were glad that they both got to bathe before them. 😁
Hello! Your oversized bowls could indeed be laundry tubs! As a small child, I was given a bath in a galvanized laundry tub at my grandparent’s. I didn’t like it because the bottom of the laundry tub had a series of raised rings on the bottom to make the bottom stronger. Stronger yes, but comfortable, no! I’d love to see your little baby doll sitting in a laundry tub. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, I would LOVE to see ALL of the doll's house furniture that you've purchased. Also, I would love to see both Fleur's doll's house and Kate's doll's house. I just love all of the tiny things. 😁
I absolutely love watching all of your videos, on both your channels. I always wanted a dollhouse, but never had one; now, at 54, you've inspired me to create a single room out of a drawer from a old side table. I'm making a thrift (charity) shop, trying to see how much I can make myself or find smalls in our "junk draw" in our kitchen to repurpose as items in the thrift shop. It's so much fun! 😀 By the way, the picture that belongs on the wall is "Our Lady of Perpetual Help" 😇
It was my dream to have a doll house and begged my Mother for a baby doll, but we weren't allowed to have toy's,she didn't believe in them,I found dollhouses at Goodwill and decorated them for my Grandkids,I had such fun,the Christmas room is my favorite,I did a bookshelf too and each shelf was a different theme.
The very best thing about your channel is the relationship that you have between mother and daughter. I wish all families were as tight as yours obviously is. You are an inspiration.
In Ohio we call people who craft beautiful things like furniture from wood, woodworkers. The people who make big things like houses from wood are carpenters. 🤍 Love from Ty in Ohio. 👋😃
Kate, you were right -- woodworker is a job title, and the furniture could have been crafted by one. Your little stone bibles are carved from onyx, as they have parallel bands when you turned them in the camera. I would love to see you start on the Study next. When you come up with names for the doll houses, it would be fun to have a poll for viewers or your Patrons to vote. Loved watching this along with you -- would adore seeing more unboxing videos as you two make it so much fun with your comments and facial expressions. xx Karen
I had a very old lady for a neighbore once, she is probably in her 90´s by now, and she told me once, that when she was a child her dollshouse would be just out to play with while christmastime, not when ever she wanted, and every year theire would be some new bits of furniture or elektric light with real little lamps and so forth, but after the holidays the dollhouse would be gone til the next christmas . . . and I found this actually quite charming, it teaches a child to cherish what it has, to be modest in its wishes and take good care of its toys I think . . . best wishes from germany 😀😉😘
Thank you so much for sharing your unwrapping of all those wonderful, delightful and magical furnishing for your doll house. Please please show us more. These video have inspired me to have one of my own. I am 71yrs and i do believe this could evolve into a passion in my golden years.
I had a similar loss- when I married far from my childhood home, by the time we returned six months later my mother had given away all my childhood items, as well as my scrapbooks that held cards from the time I was born. My dolls house was a 1940's metal one- yes, I am elderly now (and working on creating a dolls house!)
Kate when you pulled that 1st piece of furniture out and it had bead knobs I KNEW that house and contents had been hiding and waiting in the peoples attic JUST til you both would buy it!! The little dollhouse has come to the PERFECT place to live. I would name it Serendipity Joy because thats what all you do brings me and us. Fits the house and the unboxings.
The hip bath might be celuloid - my grandma had a Halloween decoration that sounded the same when you tapped on it. It's plastic-like but very light. And I have a cut-glass salt cellar for my doll house, it's a punch bowl for holidays.
My husband just made me a greenhouse to add to my dollhouse area for my birthday and I'm so excited. It's good to step away and go to another room. I think it keeps your creativity flowing. I love all your videos. You are giving me lots of ideas.👍
Please, please show us all of the unboxing! I've loved doll houses my whole 71 years!!!! I've built them for all the kids in the family, as well as my son! I love all miniatures!!!!
Yes, Please. Show the other boxes. Each week I look forward to your youtube channels. I think you ladies are amazing. You both are extremely talented, and have great imaginations. I know making these videos are extremely time consuming. Please keep up the good work. Your hard work is helping me get through these difficult times. Thank you, Michael from Nova Scotia, Canada
Oh please, I want to play too! These pieces look like so much fun. This little girl must have loved and taken very good care of her doll house. Amazing! When I was young my sisters and I would cut people, furniture and other stuff out of the Penny and Sears catalogs, paste the furniture to the sides of little boxes nd make our own doll houses! They were just as cherished. This was such a fun video. Please stay safe and be careful! ❤❤
When i was young my dad made me and my sister some large cots for our dolls, but sometimes there would be a friend in the family who would make dolls house furniture. has a hobby and gift them at christmas or birthdays, the furniture looked home made, but also not everyone had all the necessary tools, lovely video many thanks loving the whole series its a welcome distraction from the news thank you
Was a joy to watch you both unboxing the miniature items. So much care and attention must have gone into making them all, and you are both carrying on the tradition.
Fleur, you are so knowledgeable about all the items and have shown your darling Kate much of what you know. You could easily take center stage Fleur because of that fact, but you allow your daughter to be up front, and allow her to be who she is. It's quite commendable.... a wonderful mum. Another wonderful video. I enjoyed it very much and if you have more unboxing, then by all means.... don't be selfish... SHARE IT!! We would love to see!! Thank you for allowing us all to see the amazing wonderful Miniature World of Kit & Caboodlers.
I've loved watching you unbox all these dolls house items. I always wanted a proper dolls house as a child. I eventually got one for my 50th birthday. My dear husband and son made it for me. Can't wait to see all of it! From the cleaning to rebuild, placement of items...you two did well! The tin-type photo...some years ago, they did a re-enactment of our Civil War (1860-65) and there was a photographer doing those kinds of photos. The lady that showed me her photo was in a plaid dress in the colors of pale green, pink, and yellow...her photo showed nothing of the pattern in her dress and it came out as stripes! It was fascinating! Thank you both for including us in your discoveries, looking forward to the next video. Have a lovely week.
Oh my! What a delight!!! Everything! Your man with the cap can be the gardener! Soo much fun! You definetly have your work cut out for you "designing".wow!!
Oh yes please I would love to see the unboxing and introduction of all your items that y’all find. I really enjoy this new channel. Have a blessed week ladies and gents can’t leave the men out cause now their is 3 human and 3 doll gents. Hehehe
Yes please, ii would like to see more unboxing for sure. I think the red piece looked like a shelf, the other way round. Lovely, lovely video, thank you both for sharing
Really enjoyed watching this video!! My sisters and I had a handmade dolls house when we were young girls. My Uncle Bubba made it for a wood shop project in high school (1930-ish). I found it in the attic when I was just out of high school and redid it and gave it to my sisters girls. Sadly we have lost track of it. But I cherish the memories!! This video has brought back so many!!!
Yes I would like to see the unboxing of the rest of the items!!!! I love the doll house furniture, decorations and people. You have some very special and unique items! Have fun!
A box of the most wonderful, personal and beautiful things….that picture frame, photo and mirror😮❤️. Thank you as always for showing your treasures 💛🧡🤎
Fleur your red blouse is extra cute..great color on you! Kate your dress or blouse is So you..perfect colors that you love and so pretty on you. A few videoa ago, for a brief second the cutest little girl picture was shown in a frame, she had dark curly hair..was that adorable little girl you kate? Fleur you make me laugh at both the unboxings. Several times when things are picked up and handled you say Oh they are filthy and it tickles me no end because yours and kates hands are always rubbing mud off found items and you never say that then..so it makes me laugh..lots of mud versus dust. Thanks for the chuckles! Fleur I think the little homemade doll is great too. Kate I see why that 1 is your fave because she looks like you to me..all that pretty dark hair.
I would love to see unboxing of the boxes! It is like a lovely surprise that you are sharing. You two are so wonderful to watch - pleasant voices (although sometimes a bit difficult for me to hear - so soft!) and such shared enthusiasm. Finally - this may seem rather impertinent but your hair is just glorious. Nice to see such natural beauty.

The red plastic item could be a shelf with the curly bits as brackets.Would love to see more dolls house items, lovely video
I think if it sits on the fireplace like that you could put a fancy vase between the swirls
@@jennifersauter7286 or those 3 books
@@jennifersauter7286 or a framed photo perhaps??
It could act like bookends as well
Yes!

A wonderful unboxing day. So sweet. So exciting.
The red thing can be a shelf. The bath could go in the kitchen. I love the dolls! So cute.
Yes it's a shelf, sits on the wall over the top of fireplace.
When Kate looks up to the camera she looks so angelic. Another great video
Totally agree, she is quite naturally beautiful
Would love to see what other dolls house things you have gathered!
Yes, I would LOVE to see ALL of the doll's house furniture that you've purchased. Also, I would love to see both Fleur's doll's house and Kate's doll's house. I just love all of the tiny things. 😁
I would love to see your other doll house purchases. Loved this unpacking.
You could put a clock into the red thing and make it Art Deco mantle clock perhaps. Really enjoyed the unboxing of the furniture etc x
I think the “flowers” are stamens for artificial flowers!! You’ve got some lovely finds there!😍❤️
YES, Definitely!!
Yes they are, they come in various sizes
Yes, but they are used for miniature houses. I make miniatures with kits and they always use them to make arrangements
@@glorybr Yes they are great for miniatures.
I'm so glad you're giving these treasures a new life.
The little boy with the wax wellies is no doubt a mudlarker!❤️🙌!
Enjoying the unboxing. The entry seat and mirror made me think you need an umbrella stand now😊
Oh yes, perfect 🤩

The very best thing about your channel is the relationship that you have between mother and daughter. I wish all families were as tight as yours obviously is. You are an inspiration.
Totally agree- that would have been a great childhood for many of us.
I agree with Richard a living room would be lovely.
I use those little "double ended" flowers as stamens in the paper or foamiran flowers that I make.

The same in England
Yes, please show all of the boxes of dolls’ furniture that you buy! Such wonderful, tiny treasures ♥️
How about Caboodler Manor for the name of the doll house. That gives a mage to y’all and the dolls house. Lovely furniture.
Brilliant name
