- This week we have a special film for you in which we tour my mothers dolls house before the contents is dispersed to two new antique dolls houses she has bought. Come with us and hear about and see some really beautiful miniature rooms!

Hello everyone, thank you all for the lovely comments! I just need to clarify that my mother is all well and happy. The reason this dolls house is no more is because she bought three new (well antique dolls houses) which she has divided the contents of this house in to. This house was then gifted to a little girl but with no contents. We will be showing a brief glimpse of the new houses soon and hopefully filming some more in depth tours as well. Phew that was a bit complicated to explain! Thank you all again for your support :) x

Love the tour. The world of miniatures is so fascinating. I am 61 yrs old and never had a dollhouse but remember making cardboard box ones as a child. You have inspired me to make one again. Will be using a wooden wine crate and upcycling items to construct the interior. Thanks for the inspiration.

Poor lkittle charlotte in her walnut bed with no clothes or even bed clothes I bet she is frozen. So nice to hear yuor mums restfull voice telling us all about the things. There are so many treasures in this house. Dollhouses are like memory keepers the way that each item has a story attached and a reminder of the dear person who gifted some of the treasures. The rocking horse is so wonderful and dear.
It's so cute how your mother says at the beginning that the dolls house is to show off the dolls, and then more than half the dolls are naked ... lol

Very moving. What a memory to have. I am sad I no longer have my Barbies. I had wooden box shelves in my closet as a girl and decorated 3 stories and a garage for them, using old things and cutting out pictures reusing and recycling items from my mom's things.

Here in the States, we'd call the mirrored cabinet a curio cabinet. The American piece of furniture in the kitchen is called a highboy.

Where I'm from in the US, southeastern Texas, we would call the chest of drawers you have in the dining room a highboy. I'm sure there are many other names though. What a fun video, I love seeing all the miniatures collected over the years. Fleur it's so wonderful hearing you chat with your mother and you daughter about the wonderful world of minis.

What a lovely film and a beautiful memory of how the house looked.Cant wait to see what your Mum does with her new houses hope you make videos of them too.I am a man but still hooked on miniatures and you're right there's always room for another house somewhere and no dollshouse is ever really finished.Loved all the pets in the house too especially the pig and the tortoise.I have an antique school room in cardboard that has a tortoise in a house in it so why not?Can't wait for your next video.

Fabulous cake, Fleur! Boy, what I wouldn't do to have a real fireplace in my real kitchen. How meaningful to have photographs of your real great-great grandmother inside of the house., Fleur. My grandmother's name was Fleurette, Fleur. You are a flower and she was a little flower. Was the name of the bureau a highboy? In the antique business some dealers call them "case goods," which I think comes from the fact that the top came apart from the bottom. Maybe originally cases became dressers. I need to look that up.

I was in awe of the Great Grandmother picture and they one of her Grandmother with her Sister. Amazing tributes. My very favorite was the comraderie between them 3 adored ladies. They are gems in your world. The rarest gems.
