I'm convinced people were more creative back when this dollhouse was created because their brains weren't diluted with all the technology thinking for us. The fact that 2 buttons were used to create a vase, flower holder shows the heart people put into creating things for their children.
Fleur it seems that you don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed about your doll house. Be very, VERY PROUD!!!! It's a beautiful representation of early 1900's living!!!!
Your doll house is incredible! The treasure beyond the house is listening to mother and daughter share the stories about a shared love!! You are so blessed to have a permanent record of this experience. Thank you for inviting us into your hearts💕Tracy, Pa🇺🇸
How could you be worried about showing your dollshouse when it's so very beautiful! I guess it is like revealing the things you love and cherish to the world for all to judge.I love the different scales and the fact damaged things like the dolls with no limbs etc play a part in the house and give it such character. My favourite room to do is always a nursery or child's room as you can use so many tiny things as toys and I love to have lots of children playing and having fun.Just loving all your videos.
Thank you so much for sharing you adorable doll house full of happiness for all these saved dolls. I just imagine them all so have to be out of storms that were so scary at night. I imagine them playing and talking about the adventure of when they were finally found and how you fixed them up to live in their new home. I see nothing but love when you opened those doors and all the little things you saved to bring smiles to all of us grown up girls that can still imagine playing! Thank you 🥰
MAGIC thats the only word for your dolls house Fleur, I love it. I had those plants in pots for my dolls house back in the 50's. The metal cat in the basket was bought for me by my dad and it had tiny kittens and somewhere I still have it but goodness knows where. I hope you recieved my parcel and letter? Please let me know if you got the especially the letter. Thank you. My father made my first dolls house and it was a replica of the bungalow we lived in. I still have a little glass dish of fruit that came from that house. Lots of love and wishes for some more good finds.
I really enjoyed the tour of the dolls house, I can see the love that has gone into it over the years and it's beautiful. I'm with Kate on the kitchen being the best room in any house, it's the best place to be 😀💗 x
Thank you for sharing your lovely dollhouse and beautiful memories with us! My daughter (6) and I loved the angel in the nursery and the little crochet dress on the ironing board.
It brings me great joy that you ladies love chippy, wonky, weird cast-off like I do. My whole life I have been gathering little bits and pieces for my whole life. We are kindred spirits with a big pond between us.
Hello, Kate and Fleur, I really enjoyed this week's video, the unboxing was exciting, you got some lovely old things, I think the green square one is a bird bath. Fleur your dolls house is marvellous, it's a real privilege to see something so precious to you, thank you for sharing it, Looking forward to your next video,
What a great video of your beautiful dolls house Fleur. You have no need to be shy about showing it off! It's truly beautiful. I like the way you painted the walls They look great with the birds. You are very talented I love everything about this channel!
Fleur, thank you so much for sharing a bit of your secret life as a child. Playing with your dolls house and making up stories to entertain yourself as a child, must have been great fun. Your dolls house holds precious memories of times and people gone by, but which are still fresh in your mind eye. A magic all of its own. You hope we like your dolls house, have no fear....we love it. Well all the comments I've read say they do. Xx
Dear Kindred Spirits, I loved, loved the tour of you all's or Fleur's dollhouse. And the eggs must have been dinosaur eggs. And the cake so lovely. This channel brings such warmth to my memory heart. I lived in West Germany age 6-11. Army brat. But I had a two room dollhouse. The kitchen was furniture made ala Black Forest. Oh I loved my tiny home. But I am the oldest of seven. I have one item left - a pot metal pitcher. 55 yrs old. It is in my china cabinet. Thank you so much. Bridget
You got some nice new pieces in your tiny box,it had a lot more in than you would think too..I loved the tour of the dolls house . It’s lovely to see all the small miniatures you brought as a young girl. I never had a dolls house, but always wanted one .I absolutely love seeing all the miniature pieces of furniture, and accessories that you can get for them.I used to go and look at them when Dad took the boys to see the Trains.. it costs a fortune to decorate the inside of a dolls house too.I love how you have brought things as well as made things in yours. It just makes it look more personal and special. I am looking forward to when you start working on the new house too.But what I think is so special is that you spend so much quality time with your daughter, and you make memories together every day.I lost my Mum 25 yrs agoI was in my early forties and I miss her still so much ,and those memories you make are so precious then. That’s one of the reasons I love your Chanel ,it makes me smile ..Love n Light 🥰
I make dolls houses and dioramas by hand and I make all the furnishings and accessories too. I never pay attention to scale. I just make what 'looks right' to me. I call it Imagination Scale. And I often make houses for mice families. Have you ever noticed that if a mouse stood up, it would have a very long torso and a very low waist, and really short legs. They need their own scale! But this is a collectors house. Its wonderful because you've hunted for every piece over a long period of time. I don't think scale matters here. Its charming
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your doll house!!! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful glimpse into your happy place!! Fleur, I really appreciate how nervous you were to show us, but have no fear, I enjoyed it so much!! What a labor of love finding all the special pieces over so many years to make it a treasure!!🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much, Fleur! For sharing a little piece of you - your beautiful doll's house. I adored watching. I couldnt help but think about little Kate admiring your dollhouse as a child. So cute.
What a wonderful tour of that precious real estate. The contents are so interesting in each room and, Fleur, the designs on the walls look fine. Thank you both for bringing such enjoyment. Also loved the opening pics of the flowers in the fields, so colorful. Kate, a tour of your dolls house in the near future is much anticipated.
What a wonderful unboxing of tiny treasures. I could see the gold tone fillagrie thing as Xmas tree. It just needs a stand. A gold Xmas tree. And the unusual stand could be used as a table stand. It needs a table top.. I love your dolls house 😍😍🏡
Great editing,I love that you both have this interest in all these beautiful treasures and enjoy it together, absolute perfection,a dream dollhouse come true.
This channel is such a charming and peaceful retreat in a troubled world. It has inspired,y friend to restore her old 1930’s dollshouse and me to actually finish my Beatrix Potter house I started about 15 years ago and haven’t touched for ages. (And we’re both grandmas😂, playing with dollshouses) 😂😂🇬🇧
Fleur, Your childhood dollhouse is amazing!! The vintage pieces to how you have displayed everything is pure MAGIC!! What history and traditions you have with your memories! LOVE! Thank you so very much for sharing with us and me in particular, the little girl turned older lady who always has wanted a dollhouse and still turns into a little girl when I get to enjoy one such as yours!!♥️
I ADORE this dollhouse and I’m so happy you shared it with us. I’m watching it over again already. I spend soooo many hours a week with the two of you. 💖💖💖. You feel like such dear friends that I’ve never met! 😆
I completely agree-doll houses are most definitely a reflection of yourself! I don’t understand how people can glue things down in a doll house and call it finished. Like gardens, doll houses are ever evolving. In my doll house, the only room I set up with absolute satisfaction was the kitchen, and it was indeed so easy. The other rooms never were right. You have a marvelous house full of treasures! I particularly like your tiny framed picture. And don’t feel badly, my doll house has several mice, 2 cats, and at least 6 dogs in it. I want to get fish next. You can never have too many miniature pets. Thank you for sharing!
What an amazing doll's house Fleur. 🏠 I too am in love with the kitchen. My favourite things in it were the jelly molds. I have jelly molds on the wall in my own kitchen. They're awesome!
Hello! For the unboxing items, the questionable blue stand could be the base for a table… but i think it would make for a cute bird bath! And the gold scrolly bit, looks like it could be an exterior architectural decoration for a gable. The small bag, could be the bag for the balls in the nursery 🤷♀️ and the wool scrap, could be used for a chair cushion! Ah! I feel like im there with you, getting hit with the mini ideas! Thank you for sharing your dollhouse ! I loved seeing it!
I adore your dollshouse...I love lots of things in a room, plenty to look at. I also love how you haven't stuck rigidly to scale, it's very intriguing❤
I’ve watched this video a few times. I’ve watched it on a morning with my tea and toast and it gives me a great feeling Fleur, your dolls house is delightful. I understand how you must have felt vulnerable showing something so precious to you. I’m grateful you did😊❤
Love the miniature world! I’m 65 and want a doll house. That’s kinda silly! 🤣. The sachet cloth bag could become a flour bag in the kitchen. Loved it all! 💙
I love your doll house . It makes me happy to see how much you cherish your doll houses. You have no idea how much I wanted one as a child. It gives me ideas for things to leave my grand daughter. Thank you for sharing with us all. Deb.
I don't like the doll house...I LOVE IT!! Full of character. Who cares if things aren't to scale? I think it's wonderful. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I’m so thankful you shared your dolls house with us. I adore it. That’s such a personal thing, and if it is “a little bit of” you, I believe you must be the kindest, warmest, sweetest person I’ve ever known.
Absolutely Brilliant! Not enuf good words, but I was going throught the alphabet! Creative, Delightful, Elegant, Fabulous, Gorgeous, Heartwarming, Imaginative.. ok, you get the idea, Im Jealous! Kisses and Love xo🥰
Absolutely beautiful little dolls house. I love all the little bits you have saved since you were a young girl. What a beautiful memory and family story too 😊😘🥰
It looks like you might have a mother of pearl caviar spoon there. Exciting unboxing and I'm always so grateful when people are willing to share a part of something so close to their heart. A lovely dolls house is so personal thank you Fleur for sharing. I'm in awe of the Arts and Crafts wallpaper, it's in wonderful condition. If I go on about all the little bits this will end up a book. I must say I love the babies in bath in front of the fire in both houses, so charming.
You could use the sheepskin for an animal bed with a little finishing. I would put the little circles with the trees inside on the wall as art. Maybe a wreath for a door. The dog looks like ivory. You can see vertical fine lines/striping of fibers if it's bone.
It’s lovely! My Mom was born in 1924 and she had a doll’s house that she made all the furniture for. She also wired the lights which must have run on batteries. I wish I had seen it for myself. Unfortunately, I suspect that it was given to another child, though by her, not her mother or I would never have heard the end of it. She was so upset when she came home from boarding school or university and found that all her beloved dolls, including some china-headed ones of her Aunties or even her grandmother’s, had been given to a little girl up the street. Mom was SO upset. “I didn’t think you would want them!” said her mother. Mom said to me so many times “I wanted to give then to my daughter if I had one…” She lamented that all the rest of her life. Our landlady when I was little (1958-1963) had some china-dolls that I loved to look at in a cabinet. Occasionally, she would let me hold them “…as long as you’re very careful…” I was always careful with my toys (withe the except my doll Susie who had short, bright rusty hair. I thought I would make her hair grow if I cut her bangs (fringe). She ended up with what looked like hair plugs, poor thing.
My problem would be, if I had a doll’s house, that the rooms are so small. I would have them crammed with so many things. AND, I would be wanting to add extra rooms… a larder and scullery, a library, an attic to store a lot of the excess furnishings in… when I was little, our house, as did many houses, had a kitchen AND a summer-kitchen for when it was so ungodly hot in summer. That way you didn’t heat up the house while cooking or canning. It wasn’t a luxury. It was a necessity. They would be behind the other kitchen, joined by a walkway with a roof on it. They often had two doors to allow air to blow through. On farms, it meant firld hands could eat in the summer-kitchen without tramping dirt in and out of the house. And there would be a big sink and a pump for the hands to wash up in before sitting down to eat.
Thank you for sharing, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm glad you took your time showing each room as you have so many beautiful items, I wanted to see them all!
I feel like I would loose my mind if I could see this in real life. Idk anyone in my daily life who is as crazy about crusty old things as I am. Idk it just makes things so much more precious to me. Like these rooms are just packed with treasures.
Me three… friends think I’m crazy or retreating backwards to childhood or some such… they don’t know what they’re missing! I KNOW they are definitely lacking in imagination!!
Omg! I absolutely adore this video. Those eggs 🍳 and the tiny dog….be still my heart. Now for the dolls house….I’m blown away….honestly I totally ADORE this Fleur….every detail…the connection you share together is extremely touching as well. I was mesmerised! I don’t even have a dolls house. I’d never heard of mudlarking but I find this channel fascinating, so thank you both xxx
Hi Fleur and Kate , I love your beautiful dolls house. I think if I was to pick just one item ,I think it would be the Staffordshire dogs on the mantle piece in the living room, they are amazingly detailed for something so teeny tiny. And the tiny bone dog is so cute too it reminds me of the HMV dog . I've never had a dolls house but who knows now I'm tapping on, maybe I could look out for a nice vintage dolls house and start collecting bits for it, a retirement project. Thank you for showing us your gorgeous dolls house and all the contents it was a real treat.love to all .
I absolutely love the dollhouse. Those of us who indulge in miniatures understand that sometimes scale is not important. I am so envious of this quaint lovely dollhouse.
I adore doll houses! I never had one of my own. My grown son bought me one from a thrift store for me to fix up. I need to get started on it. Thank you for sharing yours!💜
I have no idea why you would be nervous to show off your amazing dolls house! It's just beautiful, and I think it's perfect just the way it is. But I do understand wanting to rearrange it every now and again. It's fun to change things up when you find new things to add. Well that's what I do. I just love you both showing your houses and all your tiny finds. It makes me want to see more. You have inspired me to make an older dolls house and be on the hunt for finding appropriate items for it. Also to make some as well. Don't stop what your doing ever. I don't think you realize how much your channel is appreciated by someone like myself. I can't wait for your next one! Thank you for giving me something I love to look forward too!!💕
Just lovely!! What a precious lot of memories you have shared with us. So many tiny delights! And you’ve passed on your love of miniature to your sweet daughter!💕
Fleur your dollhouse is incredible! I love everything you’ve done with it. It’s an absolute treasure as well as you and Kate, and lest I forget…Sunny! Haven’t seen him in a while now…. Is he okay? By the way, that shiny metallic lacy triangular thing is known as a filigree brass stamping. They are used by jewelry crafters. In the case of the one you have, it would literally be wrapped either into a cone shape or the corners would be folded inwards. TH-cam has videos on the subject if you are curious about it. By the way…. If someone wanted to shape this flat thing into a dimensional thing, it would be rolled and bent over a wooden dowel or form to support it while it’s being shaped. Otherwise it will develop a nasty crimp while it was being bent without the support. So! Research! I do love filigree, by the way. I have quite a bit of it but I’ve never had the opportunity to sit down and try to shape it as I like to learn how to do something new in a classroom setting rather than an online course. For me it’s just not quite the same. I like the human touch! And of course it would make lovely gingerbread trim on a dollhouse peaked roofline, but you’d have to paint out the gold, I think, to white or whatever color your dollhouse exterior is for continuity’s sake. But never mind me. My biggest failing is being a perfectionist! Best wishes and keep on creating! I adore your new channel!
When I was a very young teen, I used to make dollhouses out of old cardboard boxes which were wallpapered with gift wrap then filled with odd bits and bobs of whatever I was able to scavenge and cobble together from scraps found around the house. I had so much fun playing with it and viewing your Lovely Old Doll's house, is like a trip for me down memory lane. Everything in each room holds a special place in your hearts because they have a history and a story to tell. I think it's Absolutely Charming and filled with LOVE and good memories of people, places and things so THANK YOU for sharing it with us. And little bone dog reminds me of the RCA Victor dog which "hears his master's voice" playing on a gramophone.
Oh, I used to that, too! Tables made from canister tops, and lamps using toothpaste lids, buttons and toothpicks…I would stick pictures of furniture cut from catalogues onto the walls of the boxes, because I knew I could never obtain anything so posh and a picture was better than nothing! I raided my mum’s scrap box for bits of material for curtains, with toothpicks and beads for curtain poles. I used her Aida and bits of fringe or lace for rugs, coloured with felt-tips. Looking back, I can’t think where I found the imagination! Such fond memories. I still love doll’s houses, even though I don’t have one myself…I think I feel a retirement hobby coming on!
@@frugalitystartsathome4889 It's never too late to begin a new hobby and I can't think of a better retirement one, than having a doll's house or even a roombox of your own.
What an amazing dollhouse! I have always loved miniature things and it amazes me how you have decorated your houses. I had one when I was 8 or 9. It was made of tin or some other metal, and it was painted. As I remember (this was 60 years ago), the roof lifted off. My evil younger brothers (I had 4) totally destroyed my dollhouse and it was never replaced. Many years later, my 10 year old daughter asked for a dollhouse. I bought one of those "put it together yourself kits" and the husband of my best friend constructed it, painted it, and even installed "electric" lights. It was a big Victorian house. My daughter loved it. Then, a year or so later, our house burned down along with her dollhouse. But no one was injured so we moved on. Please keep sharing your love of tiny things - and your wonderful adventures - with us! ❤️❤️❤️
The shell spoon I believe is for caviar. The blue thing like as if it is a table base, the larger part goes on the bottom and is just missing something stuck as a wood top that attaches to the other end that would be up. That does house is so lovely 😍
My mother, born in 1922, thinks the blue item might be a bird bath. She had a cream coloured one, brought by Father Christmas, along with a tin flowered and an old style garden roller for her childhood dolls house.
Fleur honestly no need to be nervous about showing your beautifull house its delightfull and more importantly its you. your style and i can see its so loved and thats what counts. im a maximalist both in my dolls houses and my home i live in. that was so enjoyable thank you both.take care.is Sunny okay?🐱🐱
I'm convinced people were more creative back when this dollhouse was created because their brains weren't diluted with all the technology thinking for us. The fact that 2 buttons were used to create a vase, flower holder shows the heart people put into creating things for their children.
Your painting of the birds inside the doors is perfect. It’s all too darling!!! Love!

The doll house was awesome !!
In the world of doll houses yours is by far the best. Each and every item is so fascinating.
Blue metal piece looks like a metal birdbath. Need a little bird. Lovely for you garden.
The gold thing goes into the peak of the house

Yes! I was going to add this same comment as no one seemed to recognize them for what they are.

Wow ! What a lot of time thought and love gone into your dolls house 😀 stunning x
Mystery item 1 could be a birdbath. Thank you Fleur for sharing your cherished dollhouse, with all the sentimental items, it's absolutely charming!

I’ve watched this video a few times. I’ve watched it on a morning with my tea and toast and it gives me a great feeling Fleur, your dolls house is delightful. I understand how you must have felt vulnerable showing something so precious to you. I’m grateful you did😊❤
Wow, their as big as ostrich eggs! What a delicacy.
Love the miniature world! I’m 65 and want a doll house. That’s kinda silly! 🤣. The sachet cloth bag could become a flour bag in the kitchen. Loved it all! 💙
I’m 70 and just bought one! I’m going to make it into a Christmas house
🤩🎄🤩
@@seasidemom9463 🌻 That’s awesome! Maybe I will get one myself! 💖🌺🌸💖
Nonsense you're just a whippersnapper!
I love your doll house . It makes me happy to see how much you cherish your doll houses. You have no idea how much I wanted one as a child. It gives me ideas for things to leave my grand daughter. Thank you for sharing with us all. Deb.
Thank you for sharing. What a gorgeous dolls house with some amazing memories from your childhood 💜
Great video with a lot of history.
Fleur your house is adorable, thank you for sharing it 💛🧡🤎
Absolutely Brilliant! Not enuf good words, but I was going throught the alphabet! Creative, Delightful, Elegant, Fabulous, Gorgeous, Heartwarming, Imaginative.. ok, you get the idea, Im Jealous! Kisses and Love xo🥰
Just love the narrative of both your souvenirs from that dollhouse, priceless
Absolutely beautiful little dolls house. I love all the little bits you have saved since you were a young girl. What a beautiful memory and family story too 😊😘🥰
The little brown spool box thingy was to hold sewing needles and the blue metal "table" is a birdbath.
Fleur, I love your dollhouse.
Occasionally, she would let me hold them “…as long as you’re very careful…”
I was always careful with my toys (withe the except my doll Susie who had short, bright rusty hair.
Hahaha
Thank you for sharing, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm glad you took your time showing each room as you have so many beautiful items, I wanted to see them all!
I feel like I would loose my mind if I could see this in real life. Idk anyone in my daily life who is as crazy about crusty old things as I am. Idk it just makes things so much more precious to me. Like these rooms are just packed with treasures.
Couldn't agree more, you are not alone.
I’d never heard of mudlarking but I find this channel fascinating, so thank you both xxx

blue metal stand looks like a bird bath💛

Thank you for sharing your beautiful doll house with us 😊
The wash table and armoire are my favorites. Just adorable. But then, I'd be happy with any and all of the items.
A beautiful dolls house. Thank you for sharing.
Yes - “Nipper” I think… the dog in the trademark label “His Masters Voice” identifying the RCA Victor Radio and Record Company.
I am watching your videos in no particular order, they are wonderful and very inspiring I love them all both the mudlarking and the crafting ✨💖
Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
So very Lovely, your little home full of memories and love. Thank you for sharing this little piece of yourself.👍🏠
I absolutely love the dollhouse. Those of us who indulge in miniatures understand that sometimes scale is not important. I am so envious of this quaint lovely dollhouse.
Love this wonderful home thank you 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💖💖
I adore doll houses! I never had one of my own. My grown son bought me one from a thrift store for me to fix up. I need to get started on it. Thank you for sharing yours!💜
So beautiful. What an amazing family heirloom.❤
Watching this again while I make Christmas miniatures for my circa 1908 room boxes!

Agree wholeheartedly from New Hampshire, USA.
I loved seeing your dolls house Fleur. Thank you for sharing it with us xx
Fleur, what an absolute treasure!!! I loved every minute of it! So very thankful you got the courage to share it! ❤
I'm a proud maximalist too! I found a video using the term and I suddenly felt my Universe click into place. 😊
Absolutely love it! Each piece is incredible. I always loved small, old things. Found a frozen Charlotte yrs ago and still have her.
Fleur you have a beautiful dolls house love watching your videos
