Grödnertal is pronounced a bit like "gray dnare tall". 🤓 I loved the snoring of Sunny cat.♥️ 2 of my cats died last year (16 and 18 years old) and one of them was snoring like Sunny. I really miss that sound. 😻

I WISH I'd treated myself to maybe even just one sheet of William Morris wallpaper. I'm obsessed, 'in real life'. I can't believe I didn't even think to research whether or not Dollshouse William Morris prints were a thing!
You both have such fun collecting and sourcing your treasures it makes me want to have a doll house too! My parents bought a house built before the Civil war when I was 10 and the heirs only wanted the furniture and antiques, so everything in the attic and basement we could keep. The property also had small buildings that were used for storage and most of them were left intact right up to the 70's when we moved in. I remember finding doll dishes and broken doll heads outside in the garden and in the barn, there was wrapped up fabric and books. I think this is why I have an appreciation for old toys and ephemera-I make Christmas stockings from vintage fabric scraps and I still have some rescued pieces from the old house I like to incorporate. It was interesting to know that the doll plates were from the 20s-I think somewhere I still have a few of those. I haven't thought about that time for a while. Thank you for sharing your talents and creations.

You mentioned the Grodnertal doll. The Grödnertal is a valley in south Tyrol. Northern Italy. A long time ago I was on holiday in the area. Very beautiful. you find alot of woodcarving traditions in the area.

While looking at the tiny kittens i enlarged the page to see them better right as the ring you are wearing on the middlefingerof your right hand came into view. So lovely to see your dolls house again Fleur and with all the new additions. You must stick your tiny things down with the Tacky Wax then they won't fall off when you move the furniture. I have still got this horrid cold but I am back to making things again if not painting. I think I mentiuoned before that I had that lead cat and kittens but I think my son lost the kittens when he used them in his farm animals in the 70's. They were bought in Dolly Wingers in South Woodford and I had a chicken broody coop with a chicken in and chicks. You had lovely presents from Kate are we going to see what you bought Kate?? The fireplace doesn't have to go in the center of the back wall. It could go either in the corner or centered on an outside wall.
