South of our country has so much to offer. Languages differ but expressions and taste buds never fail to send the right message. What a restaurant and what an ambience! Never miss this opportunity to enjoy the south delicacies. 🥂 Cheers! Karnataka!

Many a times, we use the name of the company, which makes a substance or material.
For instance 'Agino Moto' is the name of a Chinese company which makes a chemical called 'Mono Sodium Glutamate or MSG'. MSG is a food preservative used extensively in hotels and restaurants and causes several diseases right from obesity to heart attack.
Similarly, to refer to the process of 'photo copying', we use the company's name which discovered it first. 'Xerox' is a Japanese company which discovered the process of photo copying.
After that, though many other companies like Canon, Panasonic, HP manufacture photo copying machines, we still use 'Xerox' for photo copying.

    Well done again Kripal 👏
The unique thing about Karnataka and Tamil nadu is that they don't forget their culture and food habits, unlike us Mallus (Kerala people) are craving for cuisines like Mandi,Alfam,Shawarma etc,no youngsters like snacks/dishes like Ella ada,Kumbil appam,Aval nanachathu, parippu payasam, ari unda etc
You miss your culture and food when you are miles away from home forever, love and regards from Ireland🇮🇪
NB-No intentions to hurt anyone with my comment, its just my opinion 🤷,Jai hind

that is simply because they have an inferiority complex. we identify with what we like and confident with. what do you think? Mangalores cuisine is similar to some parts of Kerala. Konkani cuisine and the cuisine from konkan in Maharashtra is similar as well but we hear more conversations of them and other than sadhya which is peddled as keralas thali , which is once an year !Thanks to you tube we learnt about diff regional cuisines in Kerala-Trichur, Kannur, wayanad, kozhikode, and the Syrian christians cuisines brilliant meat and fish achar, which the Goans also make

Great Video as always 👌 although I m a Punjabi but my heart lies in South indian food (not much Andhra fan though) and I think this Chow chow bhat has started as a slang with sweet n savoury product on same plate and it just stuck around or may be as I read somewhere there's some vegetable named chow chow being used haha who knows just enjoy the dish if one likes it 😁

Hi Kripal, I am glad that you had good experience with Kamat. But we had a forgettable experience with them on the NH 75 branch. The food was not edible, the sambar was stale. The dosa batter was way beyond it's expiry. We asked for a fruit for our 2 year old, they refused to sell. If you want to know the true story, visit them in odd hours and not when the owner is waiting for you with open arms knowing that you bring an army of your loyal fans! Just my two cents. Happy eating, best wishes.

Very true. It is same at Mysore Highway eatery as well. You should experience the staff arrogance, when owner is not around. Hope Mr. Kripal you make a surprise visit and checkout whether you would get same quality treatment on all aspects. It is important since you are indirectly promoting these eateries.

Good morning dear Kripal - Trust you had a wonderful Holi . Look forward to this traditional breakfast Vlog at Kamat Lokaruchi eatery . What a wonderful name and meaning Lokaruchi - People’s dining choice 👍 The architecture, ambience , antique display , modest kitchen all adds to the dining experience 👍👌 That was indeed a pro-tip to use Banana leaf to make the Akki Roti . Agree - anything that’s cooked on firewood adds it’s on flavour to the dish 👍👌 The use of the screw pine leaves and your explanation on the benefits of it was a learning experience for us 🙏 Oh wow they have difference between the breakfast and lunch Sambhar - Brilliant 👍 The kitchen tour was awesome and kudos to the cooks who have been an integral part of the eatery since it’s beginning 🙏🙏 its indeed a good place to relax - post dining 👍Now it’s “Oota time” - The Moode Idli wrapped in the Screw Pine leaves is something unique to Karnataka ( South Canara ) - Would definitely like to taste it for sure along with some spicy chutney 😋😋 Time for our dear Kripal to get off his hat - courtesy the spicy chutney 😅 The Akki Roti looks super awesome - would like to try this authentic AR too along with its condiments . Good that the Tomato onion gojju provided you some relief to spice hit 👍👍 Wow - what a fab looking Neer Dosa 👌 The assorted condiments is mouth watering - have never seen a liquid jaggery as a condiment for Neer Dosa in Mumbai . It’s drool -worthy 😋😋 The chow chow Bath was also super cool in terms of their presents. What a fine way to end the meal with the Jalebi and your special cup of coffee ☕️. Yes I forgot to mention about the Dink Ladoo - We do have it here in Maharashtra but what you had at Kamat is certainly different from what is available out here 👍👍 Thoroughly enjoyed every second of the Vlog - the more the extended length of the Vlog - more enriching for us 👍👍🙏🙏 Thanks for dishing out yet another 10/10 Vlog ! Much love and respect to you and to team FL TV - God bless 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi Rajesh, this is certainly a very traditional breakfast and in an environment that connects one to the land. It was also my first time tasting the liquid jaggery, certainly added to the appeal of the neer dosae alongside the other accompaniments. The dink ladoo here is one of my new favourite mithai, supremely delectable and nourishing too. Have a great weekend.

Canara British way of saying Kannada
Coastal Karnataka has uttara kannada district and dakshina kannada district
Earlier during British era time Kannada was wrongly called Canarese by them

Mr. Kripal, I am one of the followers of your blog. Appreciate most of your gourmet on road coverage. Kamat Lokaruchi was one one of our favorite eatery. Being from Mysore and travel often to Bangalore. But these days this eatery is maintained very bad. Not clean at all. Only thing they are raising is price but not the food and eatery standard. Since you have interacted with owner, hope you put this apprehension across.

It is "joni' bella.. Not jonne.. 😊joni means honey.... And this cuisine is not North Karnataka, but North Canara, which means Kumta, Shirsi and those places...

He says Kamat family from North Karnataka not about the cuisine. For Joni bella he does mention it's famous in Kumta Sirsi. Listen carefully from 24.03 onwards
