    I'm living proof that changing transmission fluid is essential. In my case, I should have taken out the factory fluid the day I bought it.

    After I got hit on the right fender in my 2015 jetta I noticed my car ( 2 days later) started leaking fluid at the time I just thought it was the A/C or something because it wasn’t leaking too much just visible, so I never moved the car since the accident until I took it to the repairs and 6 days later there was a puddle under the car. My friend came over to check it out and touched it and showed me it came out red. So fast forward 2 days later I try to move my car and when I shift from park to drive there’s a 2 second delay followed by a huge JERK, or when I switch to reverse, the car VIBRATES then stalls out. It’s now in the mechanic getting the transmission replaced with (33k miles) and my car has 80k miles. I pray everything works out well and I get it back soon I really miss my baby

    @AMSOIL INC.
    What i don't understand / or have a handle on. Certain Manufacturers recommend specific transmission fluid.
    Ie .... Ford Mercon LV , Mercon V , Ford Type F / GM : Dexron etc / Toyota WS Fluid / Honda their own honda fluid.
    So even tho Amsoil has two or 3 types of transmission fluids which will work for multiple vehicles.
    How are you able to make a fluid work for multiple vehicles and have it be better than what their dedicated fluid is? I don't get that.....seems almost more risky. in the sense maybe i'd be better using the Dealer OEM fluid and changing more often.
    That's My hold up.

    • @AMSOILinc
      @AMSOILinc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the question, Stephen. There are many reasons that a transmission will have a jerk. Sometimes it is as simple as changing the fluid, and other times there could be worn clutch plates. The best thing to do is to have a trusted certified mechanic diagnose the issue. If you have further questions, or need a recommendation for fluid, please give us a call at 715-399-8324. Thank you! -The AMSOIL Team

    • @AMSOILinc
      @AMSOILinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the question, Annie. The AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oils, such as the 10W-40 Scooter Oil (product code ASO) or Metric Motorcycle Oil (MCF) may be helpful to smooth out wet clutch performance to give better handling in corners. Both of these oils have really good detergents to help keep the clutches clean and porous, which in turn help to keep the shifting smoother and more reliable.

      Nobody has mentioned the 10% ethanol in our gas lately could be the cause too. When I use high test gas my 2011 impala works better. I herd the low grade gas can cause lots of problems carbon build up sensors not reading properly. After any maintenance disconnect the battery to reset the computer and sensors.

      Mine too... i just bought the car a few weeks ago... and when I test drove it the car was warm so no jerkiness at that time... only when just starting out for the day... the shift is a little hesitant or jerky when I first leave home... between 2 and 3rd gear or between 3 and 4th gear... then it 'sometimes' dose it again after I leave the next stop sign/light... if that stop sigh/light is only a few blocks away... but after this one or two issues... it dosent act up again all day... puzzled... so i just did the transmission flush three days ago... and the next morning there was just one very sudtle jerk... and this morning I decided to drive it like I own it... because I was taking it easy driving first thing to minimize jerkiness... but this morning it jerked again noticeably once... we will now see why it does tomorrow... hopefully it has stopped... if by Monday it is still acting up the transmission guy will try something else... I don't remember what it will be.
      What are you doing about your issue? How long has it been going on for what dose you transmission guy say? Best of luck with your issue
