Bought a yard sale PC a few months ago for $20, had an old Pentium 4 processor, but previous owner forgot to take out the RTX 2060 GPU. Made my day.

The intro was like a horror movie where the PC is the monster.

Essentially a Z440 motherboard with connector for 2nd CPU card. Same layout. CPU heat sink offset to allow space for 2nd CPU card. Great find!

I find stuff like this all the time at Goodwill stores . My main computer ,a high end HP desktop computer year 2020 I bought for $5 at a large community yard sale It had 16 gigs ram a core i7 8 core . I added hard drives and serves as my main computer . Some people have no idea how useful older computers are . Good find .

Great video as always. When selling it, maybe also offer it as a workstation/server. If that's what they want change out the CPU and sell it as that. Even more people might want to buy it if there's an option for the work they want to do on it... or I think there'll at least be a bit more interest.

From years of refurbishing of PC on a high volume Sata Drives are all Hot swappable you just need to reinitiate the drive before writing to it I used to clone OSs on 50+ drives a day 😂

I really appreciate your videos. Most of us don't have thousands upon thousands of dollars to go out of spend on expensive hardware. You have inspired me to go yard saling and find goodbyes for computers. Just recently made my own home lab based off of one of your videos. Thank you very much

I have an E5-2620v3 in my collection. Pulled it from a decom'd Precision Rack server a few years back. Threw it into my UnRAID server. Replaced it with an E5-2678v3 (12C/24T Amazon Server CPU) not that long ago for more cores/threads for my dockers and VM's.

I'm so jealous that you got that system for 10$. Those go for like 160-200 on ebay. I live in a 3rd world country and I'm trying to build a similar system and it's gonna cost me over 200$ probably.

I have the same machine.. with the second cpu sled. That is an amazing find for 10 dollars. As it is, 10/10 deal my friend. 👍👍

$120!!!! I'd bite your hand off for it. If I tried to buy it in Spain (where I live), it would cost twice that.

reminds me of last year when i paid 20 or 25 for a pc at an estate sale that had a i7 4770k, z87 board, 16gb of 2400mhz ddr3 and an hd 7870. it was in an ancient antec case from the early 2000s with an old psu inside. surprised it even worked and surprised they wanted so little for that pc

That rig has been upgraded in the past since it has an IDE/MOLEX DVD burner in it. 🙂 I would change that into an SATA drive.
